I'm not nip but what I gathered from anime is that the only Shinsengumi members that mattered are Kondou, Hijikata and Okita because that's basically all you see.

I love it when cocky producers predict insane numbers and results for things. I remember when Aldnoah.Zero was supposed to supersede Gundam as a franchise and when Anthem of The Heart was supposed to hit a 2 billion yen box office number bare minimum and ideally compete with Hosoda box office draws like Boy and The Beasts in the long term.

Maybe if producers didn't insist on making absolutely terrible production decisions, overburdening and not listening to more experienced staff, and thinking the solution to everything is to add edgy cliffhanger aspects, cut costs, and give everything virtually the exact same cast in order to promote event tickets expecting the hot license to automatically sell itself every single time it'd help. Yes that does work sometimes, but it's like maybe 1 in every 10 attempts at the strategy and usually only with the more fujobaity stuff nowadays.

I remember when Ei Aoki was supposed to be the next big director in anime post Fate/Zero and even started up his own studio Troyca for it and they were pimping him hard as fuck as a drawing point for A/Z and now nobody has heard anything from him in the past couple years.

The truth is there are very few current directors that have proven themselves to have any sort of lasting value let alone market value in this generation. The only ones that come to mind are Hosoda, Shinkai and Yamamoto and maybe and this is a big maybe Tsutomu Mizushima. Two of those are exclusively film directors that operate outside the late night anime sphere, one really takes their time with projects and the other is hit or miss. It's really not looking good at all beyond that either and Hosoda is now starting to push towards his 50's and debatably still possible to consider of this generation of directors.

Cast full of people like Yuki Kaji, Hiroshi Kamiya, Mamoru Miyano, Natsuki Hanae, Soma Saito and Yuuki Aoi, Haruka Tomatsu, Miyuki Sawashiro, Sora Amamiya and Inori Minase if there's any sort of way to work any sort of female characters in there. Don't be surprised when if it has an entirely different cast compared to the game and Toho run anime just so that they can have all their usual favorites for the inevitable event ticket baiting. Only real mystery will be the director who I predict to be either Ei Aoki or the guy they got to do UBW so they can slap "from the director of the smash hit Fate/Zero" or whatever on there to make it more appealing to the fanboys that react in almost Pavlovian manner to anything to do with Fate.

They might even go with Gen Urobuchi script surpervision just because of the already present Nitroplus connection even though he had absolutely nothing to do with it and just works at the company for even more classic staff baiting, but I'm not personally expecting it this time and if it's anything it'll just be them slapping his name onto it and him maybe contributing an episode or just some sort of "original creator" type credits like he did with Aldnoah.Zero.

Curious to see just how many of these I manage to get right but I'm predicting at least 75% accuracy with particular confidence in the music, theme song and casting areas.

What exactly you define as fujo pandering? if it's homolust between male characters then there's barely any of it because the characters are defined by the lines they have, some special scenes in stages and their historical background. There are characters that seem involved with each other but they aren't buttfucking if that makes you insecure. The fanworks are filled with BL because some swords were related with each other in historical events or simply because the fujos think they look cute together. Girls will latch on it because there's fucktons of dudes of all tastes.

The story can be shaped the way you want because the premise is simply enough: the characters go back in time and stop the revisionists from changing their story/past. Some swords have suffering backgrounds and they could go deep into that, or just make them do cute things. It's going to have two anime probably because they want to separate these contents.

There are two different crowds here, user. Fujoshits don't self insert, but otomewhales do, the smarter choice is not show any kind of Saniwa.

They're trying to have a plot, which might be worse than having no plot at all.
The staff will make or break this show, it could turn out shit like God eater.

The browser game has no real plot, just a basic premise, a load of characters with some interactions, and different maps you traverse. Any plot arc in the show will be anime-original.

It looks like the SoL series is keeping the saniwa invisible, the action series will probably follow suit unless it wants to do something serious with sword-master interactions.

They won't change the VAs and a couple of the popular swords have pretty well known VAs already.

Urobuchi is the vice president and executive producer of Nitroplus. He wouldn't want to touch tourabu anyways.

A lot of "new" swords have famous VAs like Hanae, Okamoto, OnoK and Namikawa but since they're relatively new I doubt they'll get decent focus.

For this anime, just because it's Aniplex, doesn't mean it's always Sawano or Kajiura all the fucking time for the music. Judging from Sawano's twitter this year, he has 3 jobs with anime airing next year, Titan 2, Blue Exorcist 2 (with additional composer), and we can assume the new recently announced Seven Deadly Sins anime (maybe 2017). Why would he have a random 4th show next year if there only sounds like 3 so far? Thats already a lot more work than he normally handles in a year. Kajiura is busy with Zaregoto, SAO movie, and Heaven's Feel too. It has to be someone else doing the music.
