Gennai is one of the original Digidestined, as is Himekawa. They were romantically involved, but got separated. Himekawa was forced to go back to the real world while Gennai was trapped in the digital world.

I don't think everything as in "everything" was rebooted like the entire system started from Day 1. I think it was just more like doing a complete system refresh of your computer. The base physical stuff is still there but the programs you added weren't. As such since she was rebooted with the whistle, it's not like that physical object disappeared. Plus it's not even digital in itself

The 02 kids aren't getting a fucking movie poster. The crux of this film is the mystery surrounding the disappearance of all the chosen children besides the original 8 and MeiMei who is likely only around because her Dad is part of the evil organization manipulating the things from the shadows.

The 5th movie poster will likely be Hikari and Takeru and the 6th will be a group shot of the original kids, where the 6th movie is when they'll finally save all the other Chosen Children who'll need to be real lucky to even get to join the final battle

The digital world may go down the shitter but if there's nothing directly threatening its existence the Royal Knights won't intervene. Maybe Gankoomon or Jesmon would totally intervene but the rest would prevent it. They're that kind of jerks.
