Out of all the manga which I never thought would see the light of day translated overseas, Nichijou being one of them, it honestly surprised me when they announced it but I like how much effort they put into the design and the cover artwork is nice too.

The translation is solid, however, it relies on changing some jokes slightly instead of using translator notes.
It also has some problems like: where they translated 「てめえ」 as "YOU ASSHOLE!". In situations like these I think a translator note is better fit.

Although it could just be the completely unexpected twist that the girl had been speaking so fondly of a "book" where a gun was hidden all along. Either version is still pretty funny, and likely equally valid.

Translation is fantastic, too. Some weebs may lament the lack of honorifics (aside from some "Sasahara-senpai"s) but the dialogue flows far more naturally than other translations, partly because of it.
