Zophis and his army of ancient demons have been quelled, Gash bell moves into it's third arc as of volume 18! We are at the point where the series has really hit it's stride!
Gash bell is a Shonen action/comedy series by Makoto Raiku. The basic plot premise is that there are 100 kids from the demon world who come into the normal world to fight until only 1 is left standing, who is crowned king;
I'll be making a thread every day (can't give a specific consistent time of day yet due to IRL bullshit) and will post 1 volume every day until the whole run is posted.

>Where are your scans from? NULL's release. their site is here: n-u-l-l.net/ and they can also be found on bato.to and mangasaurus. EBJ has superior digital volumes for sale on their site, but they are japanese only, I'll be buying and ripping them eventually. There's also some really amazing quality Portuguese scans, but only for like 20 chapters halfway into the series, and, you know, aren't in english.
A-Destiny has really amazingly high res scans in english for the last 3 volumes, but they aren't publically available anywhere right now other then the last 3 volumes as jpgs on otakusmash, and the translation is generally nost as good as NUll's I feel in most cases. They also have 18-30, but thye quality isn't much better then Null's and the translation is still iffy.

The manga is way better, but even it admittedly starts out only above average untill it gets into the second arc.

Considering that story timing this is going to take a while, I decided to read the whole thing in one go.
It was really good, although I think it would have been better if it ended at Zeon than at Clear. It seems like he was added just to have a "final arc" and really, the guy's while motivation is as stupid as Garou's. Still, it was great seeing that final fight Wonderful 101ing it up.
Also, I really enjoy how Raiku writes female characters. Considering how most women in the Shonen genre are written as just ancillary to men, it's refreshing to see that Sherry, Earth's partner, Cherish, and others all have their own character arcs and motivations, without taking the shit on guys all tumblr-like as a result.

The issue with ending it at zeon is that there's still demons left and the resolution really needs to be the tournament ending.
There's no doubt that clear is a really boring villian but a wrap up arc was nesscary and I really enjoy just how well the action is drawn in the clear note arc.
And as you said, the final battle with clear with the golden book is hype as fuck

Adding my two cents super late, but either way Leo or Riou probably works fine. He's kind of a weird case.
I've only got a very novice understanding, but most of the time "Leo" in Japanese stuff is actually more like "Ray-oh" (レオ), while he's specifically "Rio" (リオウ), almost totally different. So it's entirely possible Raiku was intending to match the English word Leo.
I'll probably still call him Riou, but there you go.
