And I’m not just talking about DBS Anime (Present) Kid Trunks or DBZ Super Saiyan Ascended (Ultimate) Trunks, I'm referring to (Manga) Future "Mirai" Adult Trunks with the perfected Super Saiyan 2 Transformation that equals Super Saiyan 3 in power equipped with his Legendary Z-Sword (from when he was training in the Kaioshin Realm) that has his own unique abilities like Burning Attack and Buster Cannon while also performing old classic Ki Blasts such as Masenko and Final Flash as well as being extremely skilled in taijutsu and kenjutsu.

Is it me or does the manga explain things about this arc much clearer than the anime is doing?

The manga already showed Black's motivations and revealed he can freely jump through parallel worlds. It also explained that Beerus and Whis know about parallel worlds and know that killing Black in the past wouldn't change Trunks future, so they want to make sure multiple Blacks aren't created

It feels like the current future Trunks is younger than when he was around during the end of the cell saga. Must be the updated art design that makes it feel that way.

it seems like regarding the narrative of this arc's plot the anime suffers from Roller Coaster syndrome whereas the Monthly Manga can be straight up with their narrative.

It seems like the manga hasn't suffered in that regard and actually stays truer to the oldschool Toriyama artstyle.

Considering the arc started with Toei explaining that Goku's timeline is a straight time line of events and that Future Trunks' is the split despite Goku's only existing due to Future Trunks' intervention, yeah I don't think Toei really knows what the hell they're talking about, much less explaining things.

When that's not a possibility it still happens these, 1. scream and get stronger for a few seconds which will fuck up your opponent in that moment with surprised faces, 2. lose and run away into other timelines or god realms, 3. wait, you are a god facing dudes that aren't gods so just enjoy the ride and squeeze them in the face to get stronger and face you later(which will never happen if you are not a saiyan or a selected god).

I feel that the manga is going with the most straight forward narrative and giving out every detail before the real fighting starts. The anime has a real mystery with Black and Zamasu which is something that Dragon Ball has not had before. Or at least one that lasted this long.

I don't think that was what he meant. In the manga Beerus is just assuming that the circumstances that lead to Black appearing are like to happen in the present. He hasn't said anything about dealing with the future yet.

Now fights arent even at all, gods are either too strong for Goku and Vegeta or have broken abilities. Fights in the past, like King Piccolo vs Goku or vs Piccolo Jr had huge stakes with their strenght EVEN.
Now being "friends" with gods this became a joke.

The manga can get straight to the point, the anime is a long running serial so it can't. It's also telling you things you know more concisely and also giving little hints at what's to come. It only makes sense that it's better.

I think its fairly obvious that Whis is wrong and that it likely is just Goku. We had all these episodes of him slowly hating ningens more and more and we get a bunch of nice scenes of him surrounded by falling rose petals or the clouds darkening when he steps in; and last episode we got to see him threatening Zuno so you finally feel his plan is gonna get set into motion, all for him to just fuck up and get disintegrated by Beerus.

We still have future Zamasu sure but it's not the same.

I was very satisfied, since this is likely the first time they were pragmatic to solve the problem. It's really annoying to watch when the good guys can easily stop the enemy, but won't because they're acting stupid.

My uncle works for Funimation and he told me about a future arc. The Super Dragon Balls will absorb too much negative energy from Zamasu's overuse and they'll turn into Super Shadow Dragons.

Still bothers me how no one knew Goten and Trunks could turn super saiyan. These characters can sense power not only from across the globe but far into space.

I look at it differently because we have had child saiyans stronger than adult saiyans (Gohan in the beginning and in the Cell games)

For example, when we initially see Goten and Trunks becoming SSJ, I think their power level is way behind SSJ Goku in Namek.

But then after they train and even reach SS2 it's clearly stated that they are stronger than Namek's Frieza (vs. Abo and Cado)

SSJ's power isn't static, it varies with the user's own base power level. It's not hard to understand, really, why do people keep not getting it?

Although Present Trunks and Goten can turn into SSJ, they didn't really train as much as Gohan did when he was 14, they're much weaker than him.

I just got curious about something and looked it up on the Dragon Ball wikia:

This is so surprising to me. For the Japanese, Dragon Ball shifted into Dragon Ball Z the very week after Dragon Ball ended, all of this time I was under the impression all this time that there had must've been a sizeable gap between when Dragon Ball ended and when Dragon Ball Z started on account of the many new style changes they introduced in DBZ. (Such as how when Goku faught Piccolo, them "powering up" made electricity and didn't work the DBZ way of having ripples of light emitting from them and examples of these only aired within months apart.)

The Zamasu in the future isn't what he seems. There's still a lot of questions in this arc that need to be answered.

Whis is not simply a butler, he seems to be one of Zeno's blue man sent to keep an eye on the God of Destruction, so he doesn't abuse his power.
If a God of Destruction went around killing supreme kais, I'm pretty sure Whis' duty would be to stop him. Possiblity Future Beerus died and Future Whis went back to Zeno's castle in order to get assigned to another job or whatever.

Meaning, Goku's base now is stronger than SSJ3 Goku used to be. So is SSJ and SSJ2 not just a complete waste of energy, I mean, they clearly aren't nearly the boost they used to be from base, and the only real boost is SSB (SSJ3 seems to be just a pure fucking waste of ki at this point). Difference between SSJ and base form seems marginal at best now, so Goku just does it for shits at this point?

We have no idea why he destroyed those universes other than something made him angry, but what we do know is that he does take the crossing of universes and slacking off seriously which is why he appeared at the end of the tournament arc. No one in those two universes were doing their job.
The only reason why he let them off the hook is because he enjoyed the idea of a fight.

In any case Black is clearly fucking up the balance in not just two universes but multiple universes, why is he being allowed to do this completely unchecked?

Also the manga also doesn't have consistent rules and power levels. The rule about consecutive transformations draining a heavy amount of stamina after all was thrown out after it was introduced. Also personal complaint, Vegeta shouldn't have jobbed like that there's no way that a second transformation after a brief rest would drain him so much that that he loses like 90% of his power. At the very least in the anime it was a combination of not knowing how Hit fought and being over powered.
