Why do people like the train fight?

This is my Jojosona. I call him "Giorno". He's kind of like a Jojo but he's italian so he's named "Gio Gio" and he's actually Dio's son which is super cool. He has the power to give life to things and control them but if you touch the things he brings to life you get hurt and also if he touches you time slows down and you get hurt even more and also he can heal anybody who gets hurt (even himself) and also everybody likes him and he's really smart so he's always the first one to figure out mysteries and stuff. Also he is so special and unique that the arrow itself chose him to power up his stand and when his stand powers up it's like super invincible and you can't hurt it and it's the strongest stand in the whole show. He can negate any action you try to do and if he touches you you like die over and over forever he's so strong.

I myself didn't like the fight too much, but I really enjoyed the kind of dynamic Prosicutto and Pesci had.

Part 5's villains, in general, have a lot of character, (and more than most of it's protagonists, in hindsight) which is one point in it's favour.

Eh, I didn't like them, mostly because I didn't feel any attachment to a large part of the cast, I only cared for Bruno, Mista and Abbachio.

I felt from the get go that Mista wouldn't die, so I didn't really feel worry about any of his fights.

it's one of the few times a villain actually develops over the course of a fight and becomes more threatening not out of some bullshit powerup but because of actual growth of character.

that said, beach boy and grateful dead were two extremely dangerous stands and there are godlike moments all over that fight.

Giorno winning in the end was out of sheer dumb fucking luck thanks to Bruno

Sleeping Slaves taking place before Giorno joining the Gang and showing the origin of the fates of half the cast as well as Mista's hate for the number four. It took away from Giorno's climax and made it about a dead gang that had much more character than the Son of God in the first place. Diavolo jobbed hard again and his ending just comes right out of a random prologue dedicating itself to completely other characters

It was that moment that soured all of Part 5 for me

People who hate part 5 just have American taste. Part 5 is great if you're Asian cultured or Italian cultured. Americans just want big action panels and lots of punching. Why not read part 3 instead?

I didn't enjoy any fight with Giorno, because he just pulls the win out of his ass, so there was no tension or no chance of him losing at all.

Stand user of the week problem, same with Stardust Crusaders, you barely have any time to develop characters because they are fighting all the fucking time.

Cream Starter is nowhere close to 'best stand ever', but the concept is comparatively unique, along with the way it's actually used. Meanwhile, Beach Boy is just a fun stand due to it's user, and the fact it got close to killing people in spite of being a fishing rod.

Well yeah, user, every fandom has to have its black sheep, and sadly it wasn't part 2 or 3 or something that actually deserved it, but 5, and that's literally just because everybody got mad at how slow the translations were.

I guarantee you if we got the proper translations for 5 a long time ago, it'd be considered at around the same level as 6 or 1, not the best for a lot of people, but not hated either. hell 2 is only as popular as it is because it got a good adaptation

I swear some anons posted an archive or caps of old threads where part 4 still had shit scans and people hated it. It's like made in heaven

Part 5 is certainly one of my favorites. Top 2 I'd say.
Best main crew fights, the plot never takes a back seat for filler which is a welcome change after Parts 3 and 4 in terms of story structure, so it's a wild ride from beginning to end. And several of the Stands are my favorite in the series, GE being my absolute favorite Stand in Jojo.
Everything about the Stands and the characters were well designed, maybe not well written sometimes, but well designed, all of Buccellati's gang were so crisp and memorable barring Giorno. Part 5 felt the most, JoJo, to me.
As for any issues I had with it, Giorno taking a back seat to the gang for mc spotlight did leave a a bad impression on me. Especially since Giorno actually had fucking character until Buccellati showed up. Now you have to really look deep to find meaning for him as the product of both Jonathan and DIO.
The final act was poorly handled unfortunately, which is a shame cause I honestly liked the dynamic between Doppio/Diavolo's character, even if his motives were unclear. It's just hard to link the Arrow to the fate themes Araki had going on without making it seem like total cop out ending. (Turtle Polnareff was the best though)
Bad scans do leave a horrible taste in everyone's mouth, but it probably won't fix many of the issues people have with part 5.
And Sleeping Staves while made for a decent epilogue to everything, was a little unwelcome.
No Part is without its faults though. Although 5 is getting more shit than it deserves.

Sleeping Slaves comes off as the final nail on the coffin that the story was never about Giorno. It interrupts the already asspulled climax and feeds us exposition about why things happened the way they happened instead of letting them happen. It took away from the climax by being an epilogue explaining that it was all planned from the start and there was no real way to change how things were going to play out

But this came after the fact and causes the ending to overstay its welcome after Diavolo jobs hard for like the third or fourth time

Joseph's character was not his luck, it was his super intelligence and asspulls in every single fight. It's objectively dumb how he wins most of his fights except for Wham - he's a fucking weak hamon user that can somehow beat a super strong pillar man, who is stronger than the main villain of the last part. He's also super good and can't stand it when people insult his friends, yada yada I could go on. He's just a boring, boring character who should not win at anything but does and steals the spotlight the whole time from characters who should get it.

Part 5's fate nonsense comes with a story that just fucking ends, the arrow going through King Crimson is almost as bad as Kars getting launched into space and comes with the baggage of Sleeping Slaves taking away from the ending instead of leaving the climax be the most intense part. So the epilogue drags

As bad as Part 2 is, its climax runs on sheer adrenaline and stupidity asking for you to just accept how ridiculous the situation is. Especially Joseph living

While Part 5 takes itself seriously, so it gets judged harsher

The Stand user can hide inside their stand while traveling to a different time but their stand must remain out and visible to other stand users when they are doing this. When they return to their branch in time the time they were gone is taken into consideration. Rewinding time will not reverse any wounds the user takes directly but they can go back and prevent themselves from being wounded by interfering with their past. The stand itself is physically on the weak side, and it's time travel ability exhausts the user when used excessively.

F.F was a fucking delight, I really wish she'd lived longer. Seeing her react to the world outside the prison would've been hilarious and beautiful.

I still kinda wish she'd taken Annasui up on his offer of giving her his body but it was some sort of shared arrangement rather than her just possessing his corpse.

Don't want to get all Cred Forumsncer, but I think he has this Superman presence without the bullshit superpowers. He had amazing character development from bratty kid to a legit gentleman, and was surprisingly a round character, whose virtues of trusting and loving his foster brother for years ultimately condemn him to an ealy death. Jonathan was great.

Jolyne's a hell of a lot prouder and more noble than most of the others, even if she's not an arrogant jackass about it. She's the most likely of all of them to intervene when she sees injustice even if it doesn't concern her, as she showed when she stuck her nose into conflicts between inmates. And she's got an actively gentle and nurturing side too, not shying away from showing affection to her friends and loved ones.

Probably the JoJo most similar to Jonathan, honestly.

Abbachio development? That's about it honestly. Fugo on the other hand was pivotal for Narancia to get off the streets and find his way into the gang. He was absolutely wasted potential though I agree on that.

There's nothing wrong with refusing to pay for shitty service, either. But doppio and diavolo are literally different people. they have 2 distinct spirits in one body. That's actually a fucking plotpoint near the end of part 5.

That said, I do consider king crimson to, like most stands, be a "limb" to the user, so to speak. KC doesn't have it's own personality, it's just a mouthpeice for diavolo.
