Archer: Try to save all; end up saving none
Saber: Be cute and stop the trolley through waifubait
Gil: Walks away

Girugamesh

Throw the fat guy on the tracks because everyone hates fatties.

For what it's worth, this is best solution.

by not applying retarded fate logic where all of the characters are one-note caricatures of entry level philosophical ideals

Damn, that kid is a stone cold killer. Makes sure no one gets out alive.

...

my fucking sides

Kiritsugu: Kill the lone person
Shirou/Archer: Jump in front of the train to try saving everyone but end up dying accomplishing nothing
Saber: Use the grail to undo the construction of rails in the first place
Gilgamesh: Use the grailmud to kill both the people riding the train and the people tied to the rails and rule over the ubermensch who manage to survive

Divert track in either direction, project Rho Aias over the other set of tracks to stop the train.

He's right

ZENMETSU

well written character
asspull bros
braindead waifubait
Intelligent, nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humor.

Kerry kills the train operator
Archer diverts the train to kill the lone person
Shirou uses Rho Aias/his own body to stop the train but possibly dies in the process.
Saber wishes for someone else to become King and make the decision.
Gil doesn't give a fuck, it's peasant shit.

Now I'm picturing Archer/Shirou trying to stop the train by standing on the front of it and projecting chains everywhere like the only good scene in Spiderman 2. That would be fucking awesome.

Project a third set of train tracks.

Kiritsugu kill the conductor
Shirou would only save the girl on the rails
Saber cut the train in half so everybody die but the station not get dirt blood
Gilfamesh

>end up dying accomplishing nothing
Did you miss the part where Shirou saved the world in three different routes?
And Archer did save a crapton of lives during his lifetime.
The one who accomplishes mostly nothing is Kerry, unless you want to count saving Shirou as saving the world by proxy.

couldnt agree more

You think they have saved anyone? You would be wrong. Giving them what they have not earned is like pouring sand into their hands. Petty acts of cruelty change nothing. What if, by surviving another day, they bring a greater darkness upon another?

>Uh oh
He pretended that he cared, that evil bastard.

>well written character
This might have carried a tad more weight if it was written with correct grammar.

>Kerry
Kills one person, Saves the rest. Has a BOKU WA episode in some dark corner of the station.

>Shirou
Saves everyone.
>inb4 bullshit, he can't, it's stupid, it's wrong
Fuck you, he SAVES EVERYONE TEMEEE

>Archer
Is summoned to clean up the rails after shit has gone down.

>Saber
Seeks to rewrite the past, yells EKUSUKARIBAH a couple times, is featured in a bunch of promo arts and has some awkward sex scenes with teenagers along the way.

>Gil
Kills everyone, saves the train and adds it to his collection.

Kiritsugu kills the one to save the many.
Gilgamesh kills everyone and claims they weren't meant to live if they got tied to train tracks.
Shirou/Archer does the Spiderman 2 and stops the train with their own body at the risk of their own life.
Arturia kills everyone and says that they were saved because they were going to die anyway.

>Kills everyone, saves the train and adds it to his collection.

That's fucked up. Everyone knows it's more like

>Moves everyone onto the same track, takes the proto-train out of his inventory, uses it to kill everyone, he then rules over the survivors.

>implying he'll bother taking the time to put them on the same track
>implying they are worth pulling the proto-train out

...

>implying his laughter isn't worth pulling the proto train out

Also
>he uses train to crush the five and uses proto train to crush the other guy

>yells EKUSUKARIBAH a couple times, is featured in a bunch of promo arts and has some awkward sex scenes with teenagers along the way.

Kills the one person
Tries to stop train and gets himself killed
Despairs that she couldn't stop this
Sits back and sips wine, thinking about how he would kill the person responsible for tying the people to the tracks (HF Gil)

Attaboy

Kerry: kill 1 guy

Shirou: jump and try to save everyone, if succeeded, good, if not, no problem he tried his best
it's pretty normal I guess

Archer: clean and bury the scattered bodies

Saber: us the grail to undo the rail construction

Gil: just watching, and rule who survived

It's simple, we just have to save everyone.

Fate Shirou: try to save everyone
UBW Shirou: try to save as much as he can, if succeeded, good, if not, no problem he tried his best
HF Shirou: save the closest one first, and then everyone

>HF Shirou: save the closest one first, and then everyone
Actually
Save the one blue haired girl who looks like Sakura from the back, when he realizes it's not her he throws her down on the ground then runs off into the night looking for Sakura. The trolley rolls off the tracks and into a school bus filled with orphans and puppies.

Kerry will kill 1 guy, even if the train is already on the another track

and then he kill the operator, but he don't know how to stop it or it's too late

he blow up the train, but the train is already at 200 km/h

train kills everyone

Kerry saves no one

fucking garbage

Save the world by gassing the kikes.

Haha holy shit

turn the train into an airplane, congratulations everyone saved

...

Sounds like you missed the UBW route

Archer save people before becoming a Counter guardian

>save the world in three different routes
I think you're referring to them preventing angry manjew from being born. IF they had failed then the CG would have just been deploy to take care of that so it didnt really matter if they did it or not.

Trouble with the trolley, eh?

Reminder that Fate Route Shirou is best, he actually managed to become a hero without selling his soul like Aacha.

Which is pretty much why everyone writes it off as a shitty route.

They dodge it

Then move to Los Angeles

Why didn't they just save the world by clicking a "save" button?

>abusing save states
You monster.

Shirou: Get smashed by the trolley because he tried to stop it himself.
Archer: Make a contract with the world to stop the trolley. Regret it forever.

Mate, Kerry route is basically the exact same as Shirou route in terms of stopping Kirei and Gil from winning the Grail and going all Angra.

HF Shirou: see the trolley accidents on the news. Ignore the purple haired girl in the background of every scene. Patrol areas with trolleys but never have to actually deal with that shit.

My issue with Archer is that his whole disillusionment with his work as a Counter-Guardian sprouted from essentially misunderstanding the terms of his contract rather than any real, meaningful exploration of the concept of a hero

Yeah, so he gets too late to actually do the things he intended to. There's a simple solution to that problem for somebody who ISN'T a spirit who is only summoned by the planet when things have already gone wrong because muh contrived drama, and it is trying to show up early. You aren't always on time, that comes with any emergency-services-related work. People deal with that and move on.

The thing about exploring Shirou's ideals and telling him how much they sucked was alright, but the contrast with Archer didn't hold water.

In a way Heaven's Feel shirou was even more childish than the others. Fate and UBW chased an impossible dream. Heaven's Feel Shirou completely gives up on his ideal, logic and his whole will for the survival of the species because SAKURA and I WANT TO PROTECT SAKURA and MUH SAKURA. He was willing to directly drive the human race extinct because SAKURAAA

He went from living for the sake of other people to an idiotic amount of short sighted egotism. At least his other incarnations can be brushed up to an unhealthy role model and survivor's guilt, HF Shirou acts like a fucking cartoon

Oh yeah, the best part being that he is STILL living for other people, but instead of it manifesting as selflessness and an aspiration to heroism it appears as a obsession with a single girl. He does everything for Sakura and still drives himself to the fucking ground in the process, to such an extreme that this becomes his whole reason to live and be. His universe becomes, in this order:
>Sakura
>Me
>

Actually kekking out loud here

Shut the fuck up, Space Rand.

Bitch, you're never satisfied!

>>Shirou
>Saves everyone.
You mean he tries and fails to save everyone. Pretty important distinction to make.

Kerry will have a mental breakdown choosing the two and when he does, the damage is done.
Shirou will just run towards the train, killing himself.
Archer will be summoned to every tracks with the same scenario all over the world, choosing who will die and who will live, indefinitely.
Saber keeps saving these same 5 people, on the same track, everyday because British.
Gilgamesh will just watch the trainwreck, and then rule whoever survives.

Only true answer

Kiritsugu: pulls the lever and kills the one guy
Shirou: Pulls his mumbo jumbo and creates another trolley the first trolley will smash into thus saving everyone
Saber: Uses her noble phantasm to blow away the trolley
Gilgamesh: watches the trolley plow over the five people and then throws a sword at the last guy

>IF they had failed then the CG would have just been deploy to take care of that so it didnt really matter if they did it or not.
The CGs are glorified janitors, it's been mentioned plenty of times. They would have been summoned to clean up the mess after AM's birth, which means a crapton of lives would have been lost. They don't do catastrophe prevention.
Shirou did save a huge amount of people by preventing AM's birth.
