So since Confession was Izzy and Takeru's focus movie, but Takeru only got partway through his development, I expect Loss to follow a similar formula with Sora and Hikari. Then Takeru and Hikari will get to finish their development in movie 5

In the last episode it looked like they are going to bring more action, since the kids are in the DW now.
But tbqh i liked the movies so far, the sol isnt a problem for me.

Then again digimon has always been a bit like this, with a slow start that picks up steam, with a dip in the middle.

Adventure (devimon, dips with etemon, picks up in episode 21)

02 (starts actually pretty well with the kaiser, dips hard after he's defeated and only really recovers with the daemon corps and oikawa's reveal)

Tamers (literally no main antagonist in the first 13 episodes, deva arc starts off silly but gets good in the end, digital world slows down the pace but it picks up quickly around episode 32 and it just goes from there)

Frontier (first half is a mix of good stuff and filler, falls apart completely after cherubimon is defeated, picks up again with lucemon's release)

Savers (first episodes are too much monster of the week, dips quite a bit when the digital world is introduced but picks right up when kurata gets on the action)

Xros wars (actually exception of the rule, it arguably never really picks up steam since it's composed of 2 or 3 self contained episode mini arcs, but it certainly dips in hunters.)

02 never recovers after Ken's defeat.

Still, everything from the daemon corps on is much better that what took place before, although it was still a cop out.

They are similar, but the main difference is that Jogress has 2 or more digimon merging into one, which may or may not have any characteristics of the digimon that formed it.

On the topic of fight scenes, I do like how it's no longer just "everyone uses their special attack only for the villain to shrug it off". The Digimon having to engage in more physical combat is pretty cool, and I enjoyed little parts like Angemon's rapid fire Hand of Fate. My only issue is that the Digimon barely use their special attacks now.

Angemon-species are strong against dark types but Takeru's Patamon is stronger than the average Patamon though. Same can be said about all the chosen Digimon and their respective species. Though I do have to give it to Angemon and Angewomon for being able to hold of VenomVamdemon for as long as they did before getting tossed around like ragdolls as they have used up alot of power to hold of a ultimate dark digimon until WarGreymon and MentalGarurumon came into being.

Rabid shippers and their shallow reasons for pairing them off together. Plus a lot of them are immature and will lash out at any character that gets in the way of their beloved ship. That's what you're currently seeing happening with Meiko at the minute for sharing airtime with Takeru. I hate Takari too for being a rival ship and all that it stands for but even I'll be the first one to admit that it's not as trashy as Mimato is/was. That's why I'm glad that the epilogue exists so that everyone's ship sunk save for Sorato and Kenyako shipping. It's a small price to pay with all things considering to refute the claim that it ever happened.

Also, I can't see Hikari and Sora getting dual focus in a movie. Koushirou and Takeru, at least, have been interacting with each other since the first film.

Hikari's interactions have been exclusively with Taichi and Takeru, disappointingly enough.

I kinda fixed Angewomon's lip and nail color to a pink coloring than red.

It's a double-edged sword. They're strong against darkness but at the same time, they're weak against it too. That's why, whenever they do get hit, it tends to be pretty devastating. They don't have the resistance that Holy Knight types have.

The Angel Digimon in Adventure also have the ability to absorb holy energy and use it to amplify their own powers. Not just Patamon and Tailmon, but all the Chosen Digimon had some holy properties, being the chosen saviors of the Digital World.

When Angemon absorbed the other Digimons' holy power, it was too much for it and it self-destructed as a result. Angewomon, being a Perfect-level Digimon, has a far better time with it and was able to do it without dying. So there's probably an issue of capacity.

Seraphimon is probably even better at doing it than HolyAngemon and Angewomon, but I doubt it has the capacity to absorb a Holy Knight's power like Omegamon's, so I doubt it'd come into play.

"Main" digimon syndrome, Agumon probably has a slight resistance to viruses thanks to SkullGreymon and 02, and MetalGreymon is Vaccine type, which may have helped a little.

Meicrackmon was the source of the virus, so they probably got more infected while they were fighting her.

Agumon is historically shown to be the strongest of the chosen Digimon so that's probably why he turned last. Tentomon didn't join the fight until after everyone else so that's probably why he didn't turn.

My theory is both of them got closer after Taichi returned to their original world briefly because the distortions made time work differently. An hour on Earth was months in the Digital one. I grew up with sequel which I quite enjoyed playing because of how fast the pacing was. All I remember from the original title is that I didn't dig it as much because it took the Power Stones approach in level design. I did rather like wide selection of Digimon to choose from though.
