It was simply a fluke that the lefties won Bergen and Oslo in 2015. Bergen has plenty to offer, and can also serve as a starting point if you want to visit the fjords or just go day hiking in the local mountains.
The pictures I posted above are from Rosendal. It's a small town south of Bergen, which can be reached by ferry. It's nice if you want to avoid tourist traps, as most of the people who go there are Norwegians. During summer, they arrange a lot of concerts in the old Renaissance Barony that's further inside the valley. It really is an idyllic place.
It's also great if you like hiking. Pic related is about a three hour walk from the town. I actually met a guy from Washington at the peak the last time I went up there.
