I think you underestimate the amount of water available in the Pacific Northwest. Drinkable water is in no way suffering from a shortage. There are dry areas that don't see much rain, yes, but they aren't a problem. I really don't see how this is such an issue.

We can network in to tighter communities that aren't so far away and organize cells focused on a single state at first. The general call for migration is very loose but that doesn't mean you can't find a like-minded brother or two and live closer to them. Relocate in an unincorporated part of a county but still driving distance to the Puget sound (if you choose wa state). Ok the NWF has a forum and rent/food/gas varies by region. In my location all that is more expensive than East of the mountains and housing is in short supply because of all the people who want to live here over the last few years, it's really straining the infrastructure. The NWF has a contact list and people who make their homes available for people on scouting trips to spend a few overnights as they travel or find work. Some members are looking for employees, are business owners. I'm looking at starting a contracting business myself due to the construction boom, work is easy to get at the moment. What I'd suggest newcomers do is team up and rent a house together to split expenses, I'm guessing that about $1,500 a month plus utilities gets a decent place to live. Gas is just under $3.00 gallon last I checked. Food isn't very expensive if you don't eat junk food.
