Precisely. The previous Stalker threads used VEG and Franxx as bait, while this thread doesn't emphasize any show in particular (except maybe Grancrest).

>Killing tier

Is this a good thing?

>it's not taking sides
The moment you make a stalker thread you've already taken a side.

Nope. It's having a slow finish.

I blame this on Nero getting to excaliblast things with fire.

genuinely curious, what expectations would A-1 and Trigger have towards the sales of DitF seeing as its a original series with a airing manga besides it? I dont think its flopping for them.

VEG on the other hand..i dont know what kyoani expects in sales but marketing for the show was pretty intense i've heard.

We all think it's selling fine.

It's the fact that they hyped their shows through the roof and thought they would break the records that is making them cry. Hard.

There's only one winner, even with the
>event ticket
meme it'll average better than all other shows.

I don't think anyone but Trigger fanboys thought Franxx was going to be anything other than an above-average seller. If anything, it's VEG that will likely end up being a sales disappointment (regardless of what its ultimate average will be) considering it was the most hyped show of the season (it had constant promotions for almost two years).

VEG is literally The Last Jedi of Kyoani. With all those marketing costs it's a total flop.

>But Cred Forums keeps telling me it's a flop and japs hate it.
166 is not hit-tier at all. Besides it's just after the episode. It generally stays around 300. It's gonna do 3-4k at best.

...

>It's gonna do 3-4k at best.

Yeah right. Blend S reached those numbers and didn't rank nearly as well as FranXX does.

Blend S had long legs though.

It sold 3.5k on the first week.

Why is Marchen Madchen flopping so hard? Doesn't it have Kantoku art?

If I shitpost about the counter arguments they become false, haha!

...

>Beatless
Well we had a recap episode this week and it's two cours so it can probably recover once it gets going. Still better than Killing Bites though.

well VEGfags dont have problems dismissing franxx as fail when franxx is insanely popular in the west as well and also has a well selling manga

But why is Killing Bites flopping?

For those who still want to continue the same old discussion.

Because that's killing bites are.

But fripSide did the OP.

Nobody in the West even cares if any of these shows airing this season will sell well enough in terms of merchandise or disc sales to justify a new anime season some time later.
The only one who does is Mami Kawada Lover, because he wants to be buttbuddy with someanithing.

Only actual source I found lists it at 94k, which is still pretty good.

Put your trip back on.

Nah, I'm not really attached to any of this season's shows.

You can just buy the single then.

The west makes no money though.

Crunchyroll does, no matter what the Cred Forums contrarians say.

In fact, any westerner wasting his money on anime merchandise from Japan directly is a dummy. They'll get the anime they wanna watch for free anyway, and the only thing that would be worth spending money on for anime related things are streaming services, and only because those have huge libraries and search engines if the viewers can't be arsed to search for the anime they wanna watch themselves.

False.

Damn VEG is flopping. Feels fucking great darlings

Did something happen last episode? Slow Start finally started, it's been hovering around the 2000's before th is.

So? That was just the past. In the present, they're directly funding shows like Yuru Camp and Sora Yori by being on the production committees.

Which is a obviously false statement that you can't back up even with fake articles.

They just license it for streaming rights you knob. It's the smallest fucking dick barely poked into the pie.

Those are shit sales compared to what Cred Forums was hyping, putting it to Bakemonogatari and LL levels.

No one hyped PTE.

Whatever you're taking, use more or less of it.

Only a moron would spend more money on producing anime than is necessary. If the nips are dumb enough that they're fine with 100 (one hundred) us dollars for buying-in into the committee to give away license that make millions of dollars each month, then it's their loss.

And yet CR is quite literally just a drop in the bucket compared to the actual billions of revenue the industry makes.

VEG can flop, Kyoani doesn't care. They are still riding the KnK wave right into the Hibike movie. As long as no one gives Yamada a reason to leave KyoAni will be fine.

But Kantoku art

But they can't even draw the art out properly

Why are Kantoku art shows flopping first? First Imosae, and now Marchen Madchen.

But the art still looks cute and is still clearly Kantoku.

so many (((they))) in this thread

Still sad to see a Kantoku show flop, especially when said show is full of cute girls.

Why does no one care about MM? It has some of the cutest girls of the season.

Pop Team Epic was basically a short. It wasn't a fully priced BD. Their numbers mean shit.

>Using a snapshot of ranking alone to determine tiers, when they are heavily influenced by listing/release date and the day of the week
>Only showing one arm of each series, which skews series that have one arm only, or with arms that perform disproprtionately differently
Don't make another salesfag thread until you learn how to actually interpret Stalker.

Fixed by pre-orders because even the worst selling show spike to the top ranks when they air or are released.

Also, Pop Team and Emiya menu are shorts, therefore they aren't full BD price, therefore their numbers mean shit.

Still not a good way to tier them because it completely ignores listing and release date. If you want tiers you need to use the final projections.

FranXX and Extra both went up later than the rest so it's somewhat misleading to portray them with the points.

shitposting

I want to see it keep going up. I haven't enjoyed a show this much a long time.

Grancrest is just bad. The pacing is so fast it's fucked. The show isn't a narrative, it's just a list of things that are happening.

>**5,412 (***,*80 pt) 2018/03/28 Killing Bites

No, it's garbage.

Marchen deserves it, Imosae doesnt.

Don't be a sore loser, especially when hiring different A-list voice actors every episode costs much more than animating.

That doesn't take into account release dates though. Since some shows went up for preorder earlier or later than others, points aren't super accurate yet. You usually go by rank until maybe the month of release.

Not really, usually these threads would be made at certain times of the months (like every Sunday). It would just so happen that some shows are at their peak or lull.

Not if they get paid by how much lines they voice.

What's the surprise hits and flops of the season? Who would have thought that Yurucamp would be doing well and VEG would be doing only average?

Do sales matter for a Netflix show that's airing for 10x times the audience?

I don't care about VEG by the way, it looks rather boring.

>***,198 (***,589 pt) 2018/04/25 Hakumei
That's pretty good, all things considered.
I hope it keeps going like this, it's a great show

Where and how do you get the charts for weekly comparison?

Only the idolshit anime is really a hit. Not every anime that makes some money is a hit.

Can they find the way?

rankstker.net

It's dead, chief.

LE is doing worse than Apoc so far.

What the hell is Fate Cooking?

>**6,288 (***,128 pt) 2018/04/18 After the Rain
Fuck Japan, what the fuck.

based

This makes no sense, VEG has more points tht Ditf but it is "Average" while Ditf is "hit"

Look no further than the difference in pt between Yuru camp and Idolish

I think OP is dumb and does not realize he should make a top based on points and not on ranking

idolshit is going to push past 20k

Most Kyoani shows are pleb magnets.

>Idolshit7 selling more than 3 times everything else
wew

What did you expect?

Next, order them by final sales prediction.

>based on points
The metric is not called "points" you retarded newfag. If you want to pretend you have some authority on an anonymous taiwanese knitting shop, at least learn the terminology.

>***,386 (**1,342 pt) 2018/04/04 VEG
You fuckers said this was flopping? It's already at 1300 reserves, twice higher than a lot on the "Hit Tier" list.

>***,386 (**1,342 pt) 2018/04/04 VEG
So what makes VEG not in hit tier when it's just 100 points lower than Antartica?

>pt short for ポイント

Found the retarded OP

Rank. Also it went up for preorder earlier than most shows so it's a little unfair to compare points at this stage.

>Next Chobits they said
Normally I enjoy your shitposts, but with this you went full retard.

Monthly short animated Ufo about Emiya cooking for various SN character. Fluff.

Shit taste. It's one of the best shows this season.

Gup still not on the list

No

>seasonal anime
>theatrical OVA
Might as well put Love Live in there then, since it has 8k points in 16th.

you see, cute girls doing cute things are what adult otaku's like to consume. If you don't understand why then you haven't reach that level it.

>idolshit
>cute girls
Oh user.

>shit taste
Says you, it's garbage and thank god it's flopping hard.

Devilman is a surprise hit because Go Nagai stopped being profitable in a decade. The previous attempt at adapting the manga was in 2004 with the live action movie. It failed horribly and ranked the worst movie of all time in Japan even ahead of Dragonball Evolution.a

What are the 2 sets of numbers representing?
I've never been able to tell what I'm looking at.

The first number is the rank, nobody knows what the second number is.

The second number is computed by aggregating the ranking of each product over time in an attempt to approximate the relationship between ranking and oricon sale number when a product is to be released

hehehe

FranXX and VEG BTFO'd once again

>b-but it didn't sell as ridiculously well as some people who were hyping it up thought! It's still a flop!

They're a hovel where Cred Forums can feel comfortable about forcing their console wars on anime.
Don't forget to report every instance of salesposting outside of these containment threads.

rankstker.net/html/explanation.html
The algorithm is right here.

I don't speak ching chong chinese.

>t. pleb trying to cope with reality

I don't think each of those audience pay at least 1/10 the price of entire set of BD so that doesn't matter that much

The audience doesn't pay anything, it's netflix that threw money at kyoani and gave them subs and dubs in god knows how many languages.
A paying audience is more like bilibili, where new episodes for VEG are pay-to-view for a week. Of which episode 6 had 610k paid views last I checked.

Netflix revenue come from its monthly payment. at ~10usd/month and it would be 3 month for a seasonal show or less for one off viewing, the average revenue per viewership would be lower than an audience that buy BD by quite a lot.

Sorry, wrong board.

One of the girls dyked out with a teacher.

But netflix doesn't release its data. All we know is that it pays really well.

I feel like i''m missing the point here. Is having an online shop that amazing?

Everything here sells for me
---> youtu.be/6GDHqm6kwBk

A lot of KyoAni fans in Japan will only buy from the online store, and those sales figures aren't reported to Oricon.

If you're a studio with autonomy like kyoani, yeah.

If disc sales are so important why is Etotama getting a new season? Checkmate, salesfags.

Edgy bitch best bitch.

>Novel sell well
KA is not Dengeki

How do I read this?, I've never paid attention to sales numbers threads but I'm curious now

>whatsapp
>facebook messenger

Here ya go

>last week's sales/this week's sales/mentions on twitter/threads on 2ch/title
This user is full of shit

That’s the joke, you nub.

Nothing, it's flopping.
