I'm okay with the large amount of multi-platform and sub-AAA games available on PC. Exclusives don't sell platforms like they did in the past. PlayStation has what? Tomb Raider with a male protagonist and some version of Dark Souls? I don't even know what Xbox has. Only Nintendo has some AAA exclusives that offer a unique experience but I'm not into kiddie stuff.

They're pretty fun. I've played them because I own multiple consumer products. They're both fairly short and singleplayer-focused, though, so I haven't gotten nearly as much play time out of them as I have from games like Wargame: Red Dragon.

On console good performance is granted in 99% of games(even Lichdom Battlemage got patched on console). Minimum requirements are meaningless for modern games, as you have people having better hardware than recomended and still get shit performance(see DX:MD, Witcher 3) and weather it is the devs fault or of Nvidia/AMD does not matter. On console it is almost granted to always work out of the box.

The Athlon x4 cpus are meant for a r7 370 tops(even AMD states so). That RX 470 will be bottlenecked by that weak(much weaker than a i3) CPU.

I think this is where the fundamental disconnect lies. On consoles "good" performance means 30fps with drops. The vast majority of games aren't steady at all. Games that target 60 will frequently be 45-50 in reality, and games that target 30 will drops to cinematic 24fps. On PC when people say "bad performance" they mean it can't hold a consistent 60fps on 'x' setting with 'y' GPU.

That's almost 70% of the games announced for this gen that interest me and they're all only on PS4 (and a few on Vita). I'm still a PC only fag because of emulation and old games. And piracy(I live in Canada where new games are $80 and all of the shit above would run well over $1100). But even I can see that PS4 is the only platform of value for newer shit.

I'm honestly happy that most games are multiplatform. The only reason anyone would want more exclusives is for shitposting fuel or post purchase rationalization, none of which are good reasons.

Crysis had lean keys and prone though. (I have no idea why Crysis 3 didn't have autolean like 2 did) It also had actual ladders which was nice. AI could use some improvement but mixing skills was more fun. If you got gud at autoswitching the nanosuit powers the gameplay was phenomenal. Also has the best vehicle level in any FPS in the tank level. Even the alien levels, which people complain about being too linear, still give you more options than you think. As a side note Warhead fixes almost all of the first game's problems.

Dev costs have skyrocketed, the last ones to give it a try were hl2 and crysis, episode 2 built with consoles in mind. Half life 2 had a long period of development, anything Hl3 like would destroy anything on the consoles. Think of the ps2 holding back the generation, that's the level we are at now. 8 core machines and 16gb should be the norm or basic minimum, we are moving Sony's pace and the PC platform is just an extra.

Way more of a greyscale case there. It really doesn't have great options for a PC lead and underwent extensive downgrades. The menus are also designed for consoles and little difference is made interface wise on PC.

It's really a console game.

The game doesn't even really use more than 2gb of Vram at max settings due to programming for consoles.

The only issue with D44M was mouse acceleration on by default, which is annoying. At least you could fix it with launch commands though, and I think they patched it eventually.

At their time of release, 360 and PS3 used state of the art tech, both the CPU's were custom made and multi threaded. The xenos in the 360 was stellar, and PS3's GPU was high end at the time. It extended out the lifespan. The games got better looking, and we have an issue with the CPUs not being strong enough this time.

No I'm focusing on the actual game communities, the shit you encounter on Steam every day, the shit you encounter when you play the latest multiplayer games on PC. Gay sissy ERPers, unfunny underage redditors, bronies, Valve/Blizzard worshippers, you encounter these things constantly. You get either kids or neckbeards screeching at you in any game with an active community, you have game balance being dictated by these mouthbreathers, there's absolutely no increase in quality compared to consoles when it comes to the communities in these games. You used to at least have private, community run servers where you could avoid this but now you have games like TF2 and CS:GO killing off community servers by creating a focus around competitive matchmaking, or Overwatch not even giving you the option of community servers. Overwatch itself is probably the most garbage, consolized shooter to come out in the past decade but the PC community has degraded to the point where a game like this will sell millions of copies.

The consoles we have now are intrinsically weak. They gave enough ram but not enough CPU power, with it so they force the devs to program around it. At the same time the visuals take a hit, with support for three platforms.

Yes. Exclusives are cancer on any platform, PC included. Only an idiot, or a child, wouldn't want everything available to everyone.

I consider games that are much better on one platforms than the others as an exclusive for that platform. So most AAA game I consider exclusive to PC if they were ported well and play much better on PC.

Why is emulation progress for newer system slow? The Original Xbox still does not have a good emulator and I really wanna play Kingdom Under Fire again.
