show me 93 places where that term has been used other than your gay post

you fucking twitch-based gameplay x93

What's that even supposed to mean.

Quake, Unreal Tournament etc.

Meaning the gameplay is designed so that you need to react quickly, instead of having to do a bunch of things in series correctly, you have to do one thing instantly.

where you have to aim at a fast moving target/head rather than pressing q to kill everyone

>Dark Souls of...

- Soulsborne
- "action games" specifically in reference to edgy anime hack and slash DMC clones
- tryhard
- vidya
- saying "hero" for picking characters outside of MOBAs
- MOBA

All make me cringe

It means you don't have to aim down sight and wait for your crosshair to get smaller before shooting.

>2d souls

>roguelike
When it's not actually a roguelike.

>- saying "hero" for picking characters outside of MOBAs

Even within MOBAs people get it wrong. Minions are not creeps. Heroes are not champions. Towers are not turrets. Nexuses aren't ancients.

If you're going to talk about any game, talk about it right.

How did MOBA even catch on? ARTS is much more descriptive.

>it's a good game, but it's a bad X game

Because no one is thinking of them as acronyms, moba is just a word now and it means games like dota and league.

>gameplay loop
this is the most retarded term that's been coined in years

why? that's completely valid

if a game like MGSV or Skyrim fails to live up to the series roots in a major way while also being decent, then you can say that. there is nothing wrong with it

...

>Click game on Steam
>Tagged as rogue-like and rogue-lite

Move or Die has a twitch-based gameplay mode

but it's a valid term, maybe not when you're trying to sell a game but as a dev term it is very valid, and answers the question "what does the player end up doing in a repeating manner?"
>COD
>shoot guys and progress story
>journey
>walk, solve puzzles, avoid enemies, proceed to next zone
>MGSV
>complete missions, explore world, gather materials, upgrade arsenal

>Brutal legend is a good game, but a bad action game.
now fuck off.

teh

It's a perfectly normal term that for some reason you don't' like, possibly because you don't understand it, or more likely you heard someone use it and got caught out for not understanding it, and are still salty.

You can say Hero for Overwatch though just because they're literally called heroes in-game. I still sometimes say "class" though, even though class is supposed to mean offense, defense, tank, or support. But that's gay anyway because sometimes an offense is better for defense and a defense is better for offense.
