It's revealed that Goro and his boss, a politician named Shidou who has manipulated and controlled the police, try to assassinate you and then plan to take out the rest of the thieves one by one, but Goro seems to be leading Shidou on and has been the one feeding him all the info on the supernatural that's allowed him to become so influential. It's increasingly looking like Goro is a supernatural entity that's tied to Yaldabaoth, if not him himself.

it's more or less the same as P3/4, but every social link has a unique gameplay benefit now rather than just fusion experience. anecdotally i'd say there's much more variety in events now too rather than having an s link take place in 1-2 locations entirely
