Will the gtx 1070 be good enough for 1440p 75hz gaming?

Will the gtx 1070 be good enough for 1440p 75hz gaming?

>75hz

For what purpose.

>half-assing resolution and refresh rate
This has to be bait

not as good as ps4 pro

but why? there isnt any games to play on pc right now unless you like overwatch. if so apu with do fine.

Unlike Cred Forums there's actually a lot of up coming games I want to play.

Related question.
Do I need a GTX 1080 to max games at 1080p for the next five or so years?

no

Can you max games with gtx 680 which launched 4 years agon?
Didn't think so.

On consoles you mean, right?

4yrs ago 1080p screens weren't dirt cheap like today.

Yeah dude i mean there's only like 8000 games on Steam but on PS4 you get 2 console games you can't play on PC. Oh wait you're a falseflagging faggot I forgot.

well theres witcher 3
then theres cp77 but you dont need to buy a gpu for that yet
What else?

I know someone that does 1440p at 144hz with 70+fps, so yeah, probably.

this

8k 240 fps or nothing

Why would you go above 1080p unless you're playing on a monitor that's 30+ inches? Also why 75hz? Go 120

>only like 8000 games on Steam
With ununified multiplayer

I dont get why theres anything between 60 and 144, if 60 isnt enough and 144 are fucking common why settle for anything inbetween?

I can barely tell the different between 1440 and 4k. I can't imagine ever going above 4k.

Are there even any 1440p 144hz that are over 30'?

It depends on monitor size. Anything below 30 inches and I honestly can't see a big enough difference to warrant the cost. 1080p is plenty for me I'd much rather have higher frames

27 inch is a sweeter spot for 1440p,

I don't see why you would need a computer monitor bigger than 30 inches. The only benefit of larger screens is for group stuff on a single screen or if they are far away, which is all about how your hardware is setup. Get like 1 1440p monitor as a main monitor, and 1 or 2 more for extra screens to have your 4chans or whatever on, and then you are set.

An overclocked 1070 is good enough for entry level 4k gaming.

no, wait for vega 10 or volta

None of the cards out right now can do 1440 good enough - let alone 4k

1440p at 144fps

Or

4k at 60fps

Choose one.

1070 is NOT enough.

>1440p at 144fps
duh
I don't care about 4K and frame rate is superior and comes first

How does GTX 1070 do with running V I R T U A L R E A L I T Y?

Above 4k the difference in noticeable quality isn't worth it.

Above 144hz the difference in noticeable smoothness isn't worth it.

4k at 144hz is perfect.

We have reached the peak of necessary resolution/framerate advancements.

We can focus elsewhere now for improved visual fidelity.

Does anyone actually care about that rancid shit?

VR is at least 3 years away, because someone needs to make at least one good game for it.

Not OP, but 1080 at 60FPS. please.

I intend to be humble about this shit and I don't really care about jumping to 1440 or 4k. MAYBE a weird 1080p but 144hz case in the distant future.

I'll do 1440 or 4K when they're so prevalent they're the default choice like 1080 was in the past.

Smoother action is far more valuable outside of maybe long range sniping or other things where absolute detail is needed. So no, 144 hz and high fps is much more important.

>playing at better than 1080 but worse than 4K
>75hz
