Because they put it in 3 for the sake of keeping aimed shots in, and made your accuracy so terrible shooting WITHOUT vats that you had to use it. Then they left it in and forgot to make it worth using outside certain things like perk related vat specials.

I'm always replaying it. I do a playthrough at least once every other month.

Because you can do shit like shoot a rampaging deathclaw in the face 3 times with a giant sniper rifle 100% reliable in under 2 seconds of game-time when it's two feets away from your face.

The amount of damage you can spew out with it is staggering, and when you run out of VATS points, just keep shooting it with your 360noscope-skill.

I want to play it, but the combat feels so spongey and floaty and it makes me quit pretty early.
Are there any mods that improve the combat without overhauling it far and away from the base?

Fallout 3 started it as some weird attempt at keeping the turn-based combat from the first two games. It's now a signature of the 3D Fallouts, so it's here to stay.

Why I have so shit taste I find New Vegas the most boring in the series? I love 1/2 and I could enjoy 3 and 4 but iv started New Vegas like 4 times and always stopped it in like few hours for being so boring. What is wrong with me?

FO3/NV doesn't have real Shadows on objects, newer enbs do have an option for it but it doesn't look great

The biggest problem with the nexus is that there's so many good weeaboo mods out there and almost none of them end up there, and the ones that do have basically no instructions or any info about what mod reliances there is etc.
