Its been four years already since the best 3DS game came out

The original Japanese team took major cues from the English version of the game for post-Uprising material. Sakurai himself outright stated that the localization added a lot of character to what were fairly bland characters in the Japanese. This is why you see a lot more visual trolliness from Palutena in Smash 4, whereas in Uprising it was largely limited to what the translators could fiddle with - i.e. just her dialogue.

Wouldn't say generic since his voice is pretty laid back, but his portrayal wasn't endearing at all, in fact hearing him is pretty cringe in japanese

They completely missed the mark with Pit, him going "I LOVE X" or "I LOVE Y" all the time in Sm4sh was pretty bad

That and the original Xenoblade have to be my all-time favorite English dubs.

I'm sick of Jap lottery bullshit, Nip gambling bullshit and Gook grinding bullshit in my vidya. Weapon unlocks and difficulty selections should be done in a normal way instead of the autistic oriental way

great game, but its tough. still havent beaten any level over 7. worst part of the game for me is the controls. i cant play this game without the stand.

People love to shit on Nintendo's localization team, but when they want to, they can work wonders. They did the same for the Mario RPGs as well, from what I can understand.

Viridi is probably the only tsundere in all of media I don't utterly despise, and that's because the writers (or at least the localizers) understood two things: not only was she actually witty in her snark instead of just being an unrelenting bitch, but also she got as hard as she gave. For how sharp her tongue was, still NOBODY else ever took her seriously. Even Pit got to diss on her a few times, and he was on the receiving end of most of her abuse.

"Nintendo's localization team" isn't responsible for KI:U's localization, they hired some outside casting specialist/voice director who's worked on lots of cartoons before. I saw some video about it a long time ago on Nintendo Video, or whatever that shitty dead 3DS video app was.

I don't know how most of her dialogue is handled in japanese, but she's still good on my book just because of that Kirby voice actor

I don't really care if you do or not. Sticker Star was trash, but I was at least able to tolerate it for half of its runtime. I couldn't stand Uprising or Federation Force.

The CPP is GOAT for playing this game, even if the additional pad doesn't control anything. It's so nice to hold.
