do I smell a subnautica thread?
Dunno about levels.
Majora's Mask had pretty good underwater controls that made being underwater not terrible. So that's good enough.
I think Vashjir is one of the best zones ever made in WoW.
Pinocchio on Genesis.
God even just looking at this picture makes me feel uneasy
Does Bioshock count?
Kingdom Hearts
Cmon man, I know what you mean but the bottom is clearly visible here.
All of Abzu m8
Super comfy cool underwater game. FFO sea life documentaries.
As much shit as it gets, I liked the underwater combat in MH Tri.
Mario 3 could have done better if they didn't force you to only swim well while using the frog suit. Pretty underpowered ability considering it screwed with your movement on land

All of Endless Ocean
ENHANCE
looks like shit
Subnautica
fuck yeah Subnautica thread
Light rippking in water is one of the most beautiful things.
>Love this type of beautiful underwater imagery
>Too terrified to actually go into the water and experience it for myself
Super Mario 64
that's a good thing
Hydrocity in Sonic 3.
Most of Donkey Kong Country's water levels.
Rayman Origins
I wonder if FF7R will have underwater exploration with a Weapon swimming around.
abzu
abzu scared me at first
especially the level where you dive down to the bottom of the ocean with sperm whales and giant squids
but the majority of the game takes place in happy shallow water so its ok
>that spoiler
E.V.O search for eden's opening underwater/pre-amphibian stages are amazing.
Banjo Tooie
there is something horrifying about dark open water
time to DIE
DELETE THIS
Rayman Origin/Legends
they are pretty good.
its one of the nicest looking games ive ever played
Hydrocity
...
>There is nothing in this cave worth dying for
Sounds like pirate talk to me, I bet some cheeky fuck hid all his gold in that cave and thought this sign would keep them away!
imagine a big one eating you before you even knew what happened
GTAV
>noot noot motherfucker
>not GTA SA
Plenty. This is one of them.
>same basic swimming mechanics as every other 3D action game that came out before it
>cheap textures everywhere, boring scenery
It's almost like you're some hipster who hasn't even played GTAV all the way through yet. There's a reason why Vice City and III didn't have swimming, the mechanics weren't great in San Andreas.
The entirety of Endless Ocean.
Yeah, I'm with you there. I know that Abzū was supposed to be kinda light hearted, but my fear of deep water would turn me off to this game.
It'd be an exercise in terror.
>-how are you under water.
>-wachu mean can i swim
> -yeah can you swim well
>-no i cant
woozie beat his as down
the whole experience in 2004 was better than all that superficial bullshit in GTA V
>ocean in real life
oh wow so wide and open this is amazing
>ocean in video games
there's nothing to fucking do.
Hipster. I legit go around punching sharks in V because the water is so great.
Also, it's a parody of LA, so the Hollywood bullshit is intentional, you retard.
Cave diving simulator coming through. Apparently still WIP.
Going to be available in VR!
Final Fantasy I
>its fun cause i can punch sharks
2-player co-op.
Just so it you can get separated when you think you're making progress.
Subnautica
Depth
>it's fun because it's from when video games weren't all superficial
>everyone I disagree with on the Internet has microcephaly
>no mention of donkey Kong 64
Plebs
this
plus that music was so god damned perfect
youtube.com
>this music blends completely with the oppressive atmosphere of the zone--you're trapped in the bottom of the ocean, struggling against forces stronger than you, trying to gain some upper hand with the few survivors you saved.
Mega Man 2
>don't have to worry about oxygen
>movement speed is the same
>jump twice as high for some reason
