Not strictly true. Jim slipped up and falsely reported that they had stole assets that were actually bought. However, he retracted his statements and apologised as soon as he found out about his mistake, which was the same day he made the statements I think. I don't think Digital Homicide even started litigation until like a week after the retraction IIRC.
I don't really know much about american libel/slander laws so it will be interesting to see how far the devs get with this.
