GDQ is a shit, for-profit scam that sells out its runners and volunteers.

They make hundreds of thousands of dollars each event, don't give the runners stipends for their work, and cave to sponsors and the charity whenever they think they're on thin ice because someone said a boo-boo word.

And it'd be a much better event for everyone.

You only think that because the only discussion about GDQ by speedrunners is relegated to the ancient SDA forums. The majority of runners who don't mind are older runners who use GDQs as a meetup, or newer runners who don't have the backbone to ask for fair treatment from GQQ.

Runners had to beg GDQ to exempt people with runs in the event from registration fees (which continue to climb, and go directly to GDQ). Everyone, even people who aren't usually upset with GDQ, was upset last year when the entire event was running months behind schedule and people had to pay more and more for travel because of it. They've gotten their shit together since then, but they still treat the runners with little to no respect even though they provide the content.

It was great, but Bonesaw was banned from submitting for an entire year for it.

You can get your run accepted no matter how trash it is if you put on a pair of tights and fag it up on Twitter.

Shit like swearing, telling viewers to spam Air Canada on Twitter, making fun of celebrities (most notably Owen Wilson), and he compared the run to the Titanic, which apparently didn't go over so well with the staff. All of this, after the staff told them time and time again to stop.

Oh well. At least we can rewatch old streams and remember when GDQ's were fun.

Everything goes to shit in the last 20 or so minutes and it's great.

I think it does the trick by inputting the right letters in the specific frames that the game recognizes and filling the rest of it with crap that adds up to funny shit

It literally just looks for the next letter in the possible right answers by checking one letter after the other, in one direction. FF is honestly a blast to play when you try to think up funny answers (A la quiplash), and sometimes actually get questions right.
