Every ult that kills Mercy counters her ult. Try killing Mercy first.
Transcendence doesn't beat everything, Biotic grenade just flat out turns it off and isn't that hard to land. Pulse bomb, High Noon and D.Va nuke can still combo with Graviton to wipe everybody else. Whole Hog launches him away from anybody. There are probably other examples as well

He's a good class with a clear role in the game as a tank killer. As long as you do good your team will be happy you're with them. There is absolutely nothing wrong about playing Reaper.

McCree's is the worst. Pharah's is alright and can easily bet you a couple kills but you need to be sneaky with it and it's often suicidal to use. Junkrat's works best at fairly point blank ranges. Your hyper reliant on cover with it so you need to slip the fucker in just right.

soldiers ult should give him highlight of all enemies for the duration, like hanzos sonar arrow or widowmakers ult (which obviously needs huge buff at some point).

You could also kill Zen before he gets it off, he is very easy to land hits on after all.
