If you don't care about the FPS, RTS, 4X, Grand Strategy, WRPG, space sim, MMORPG, ARPG, or majority of the indie scene then by all means stick to consoles.

PS4 is Call of Duty, Battlefield and Battlefront machine though. Most sold games of the console are them.

You get more bang for your buck performance wise, as consoles are usually sold at a loss, and games can be optimized specifically for a set of hardware. This point is pretty negligible though, seeing as eveything else about PC is leages ahead of consoles, and a PC purchase will probably end up costing less long term due to lower video game prices.

Cheaper hardware (low end parts and pirated windows is still not as cheap a refurbished/used PS4)
Sharing/renting/selling physical games, overall cost of new games is much lower than PC games this way
Software is guaranteed to work with the system, no need to trust incredibly vague system requirements that are often completely wrong
No need to worry about weekly driver updates screwing up your graphics or OS updates restarting your system mid-game
Games usually come to consoles first, are higher quality on consoles and have better support than the PC releases
You won't be a social pariah for admitting you play modern games on consoles compared to saying you use a computer to grind for days in online korean waifu sims

The only trump card the console has over pc is there is significantly less cheaters in online games for console than PC and exclusives.
