I played it again recently and while true it doesn't hold up quite as well, its still is a solid game 9/10 if you take it into account how old it is, you have realise there only a handful of 3d games at the time so nintendo was basically making something without any reference.

The remake is better in every aspect, so if every do play it, that version is much more targeted at the current gaming mentality

the grumps OOT playthrough showed that Arin fucking SUCKS at this game. He can't into basic combat to save his life.

The remake also has the benefit of a more stable framerate and smoother animations, along with streamlining the gameplay further with making the various boots into usable items rather than equipment. Smart move there.

Also I really like how the sword sheath actually changes when you equip the biggoron sword, that's such a nice little touch

You have to wait for robots to attack it does not not require skill or intelligence, the game is too long and shit all around because it requires no skill

Yeah and he's full of shit and fails to account for things like the context of the game's launch for many arguments.

Like his complaint about "all puzzles being about finding the eye to shoot an arrow at in a room" - it's misinformed for two reasons: firstly not all puzzles in the game are like that and secondly - for an early 3d game that allowed for first person camera control the concept of actually having to examine the entirety of the 3d environment that you're in to find the switch was a very novel concept.

If you want to talk about games that are complete shit there are plenty of examples you can find in the N64/PS generation, but OoT wasn't one of them.

Explain how OoT is filled at all with padding? Literally Hyrule Field being big is the only thing I can think off, and even then, you unlock the goddamn horse so soon into the game that it single handedly remedies that issue.
