Skyrim runs really good on toasters with lower settings and plenty of .ini tweaks. You can run Skyrim 40-60fps on an ancient gtx 8800

they play fine on consoles, they run much smoother than bethesda's fallout games that's for sure.

It's actually slightly more effort than your typical remaster, they basically ported it to Fallout 4's engine so it gets stuff like godrays and such. also it's 64-bit so it has a benefit to PC players, even if you do have to fix all the mods to get them to work. I'm guessing consoles will get the HD texture pack as well but I'm not sure.

it's just an engine upgrade to f4, you'll probably get quickloot, godrays and if you're really lucky some improved textures
it'll also hopefully run a bit better and will be more stable with shitload of mods because of 64 bit binary and they also removed 256 strings limit on scripts (in a stealth patch for F4, no less)

I just like dicking about with some survival mods. Fighting of the cold and eating and drinking is fun to me.

I still can't belive they did a straight port to Xbox, the absolute madmen. It ran legendarily bad from what I heard from friends. There's a reason the Far Cry port was massively scaled down. Look at Invisible War, much more linear than Deus Ex. An open game like Morrowind just couldn't work on a console, even as powerful as the og Xbox.

Skyrim is literally 10/10 with mods. One of the comfiest games I've ever played
