Roll

I wonder how many people on Cred Forums realize roll posts are bannable?

Roll, pls be 25 or37.

According to which rule exactly?

...

Less go

let us see.

This is the one that's cited when you're banned for rolling. Most mods are too lazy to ban every individual roller, though. If you doubt me, you can report every roll post you see, you won't get a false report warning.

Rolling on this shit

rolling

yes, but you have to do your own thing

>Is there room for creativity and passion

Yes

What there isn't room for is risk.

So you can't go way into left field, run out of the stadium and pull your pants down and fart an orchestra remix of Ode to Joy, because the ball won't fly out into your asshole.

You can go within the bounds of what the majority can appreciate, unless you're an indie developer in which case even minor sales can sustain you (if you strike gold like Undertale you're set for the rest of your fucking life, if you manage to do like Minecraft why the fuck would you do anything except seek immortality) then you can do whatever, which is why independent games tend to be the more wacky ones these days.

That isn't meant to infer that independent games can't be derivative shit, just that they have more opportunity to not be.

:^)

No one cares what you have to say, bandit.

>Implying mods still give a single fuck about anything

Yeah, seeing as game makers are supposed to be creators of content. Shit takes time and effort.

New companies wouldn't have the same, high amount of overhead, so there's that. Not as many dollars for marketing, however.

Yes, there's room for it. You just need to convince the higher-ups that the "safe" ways of making money are not as safe as they think (e.g. remind them how Activision milked Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk to death) and that they need to take a risk with your ideas. So, it's not impossible, but it's still a "once-in-a-blue-moon" kind of deal at best.

Also, rolling.
