What type of character do you usually play? I'm pretty shitty with melee type characters so I stick to healers ranged adc or tanks, with healers and tanks you don't even need to be good at killing or last hiting, just helpin your team and not feeding

In Dota 2 I use vengeful spirit most of the time with occasional death prophet. I usually will pick mages/support for all of the games.

Personally, I'd say no. Theres too large of a focus on stat superiority in the game and snowballing in general. While that gets less of a problem in higher skilled games, it remains a massive waste of time overall which is my biggest complaint about the game. Theres just far too much padding before the game actually opens up enough to allow for regular PvP.

In dota you can click on any of your enemies to learn exactly how their skills/items work, the damage formula, and effects at each level even if you don't know how many levels they have in each skill.
Hots has less characters and you can see what talents your enemies take every couple levels so you're never left wondering why a skill does a certain thing.
Paragon's skills are super obvious, you know what they do the first time you see them and the cast animations are all totally unique so you can immediately tell if someone is gearing up to throw their stun or push you away.

I don't even get how people lane... It's so fucking boring. First of all you get countered all the time, and it's so out of your control. Not only that, but every time I lane the enemy just fucking sits there and farms then scurries under the turret when I go in.

Don't even get me started on ADC. I actually kind of enjoyed playing ADC when I first started playing league. Now? No fucking way. Every time I play adc now, I play tristana, because she has so many escapes and can self peel. You play vayne or draven you better hope that your team knows how to peel, and even then it's like what can they do when the entire enemy team jumps on you and cc chains you.

I think the only thing that is consistently good about LoL right now are the new champs. And even then a lot of die hard LoL players think they're shit.

After spending around 5k hours in Dota 2 I decided to try LoL.
Currently Level 15, I can see why people like it, the gameplay is very streamlined and cookie cutter. You can expect the current game to play like the next game with some deviations.
The game lacks the pitfalls and variety which comes from a game that has more options in ways to be played.

But its fun. if you have good game you feel good, if you have a bad game you can "try" again next game because it will be pretty similar.
I still prefer Dota and all the choices.
So for me LoL reminds me a lot of what CoD is for shooting games.
