X and Zero were great in the first two games, but I wouldn't mind it if the classic series got repped and the X series given a rest. Mostly because I think Dr Wily has great banter potential for this series. Megaman should team up with either Protoman or someone from a different series and Roll should be a solo unit.

There should be one dub where the characters speak respective languages.
The Yakuza guys, and really most of the characters, should have a Japanese dub, but others like the Resident Evil characters should be speaking in English.

The first game is really slow. Generally considered a massive slog.

The sequel fixes a lot of the issues the first game has. Goes on for about 5 chapters longer than it needs to, but it's a vast improvement.

Japanese Dante and Vergil are pretty good, too. It wouldn't sound good if half the cast spoke Japanese and the other half English.
The only way I could see it work is like in Street Fighter 4, where they gave you the choice for every character, which language they should speak.
