ADIEU! ADIEU!

THOUGH I AM NOW A GENTLEMA-

Mia > Black Rose

AH MON AMI

furry

DUDE

AROMATIC

Helba>Mia

GRASS

Mon Amiii, do you need me?:3
I'm replaying the series and am on GU vol 2 atm. Forgot how vastly superior it is to the first quadrilogy. I also forgot how edgy it is, probably because I was a teen the first time through. All of Haseo's forms are fucking edgelord pro

Post yfw they make a VR MMO of The World

...

...

>m-muh furfaggotry
She's an AI inside a videogame world inside a videogame. This clearly makes it ok.

Also, she's cute.

>Forgot how vastly superior it is to the first quadrilogy.
That's debatable. The gameplay has aged less but the first four have superior atmosphere.

How do you make an MMO where you're supposed to be the chosen one to save The World work while everyone else is the chosen one also?

still think that cubia would have been a better than the last boss than corbenik

its just an eye

I mostly meant mechanically.
The first series had stupid things like the accuracy (MISS MISS MISS MISS) and having to Data Drain for cores made it so that you had to fight more to level up. I do really like how both series you end up with like everyone as a party member, though

Man that final Cubia fight had me tense as fuck. Atmosphere in that first series was so great.

With PS VR being a thing, they should reboot the franchise with a Remaster Collection of both games, and then do an anime to tie into a new VR .Hack game.
Fucking hell why are devs so bad at making money

It was genuinely unsettling. The boss designs got crazier and crazier... and then an eye

But Mia is Elk's girl

Correct

...

You make it so that the big bad opened a rift between dimensions and the heroes from the different worlds have to work together.
For the first half of the world to max level, you cannot see anyone else in the field and nobody else can see you (however you can private messages if you know their name), and the only times you interact with other players are in instances where temporary holes are ripped in the fabric of space and time, until a point in the narrative where the big bad just goes full fucking crazy and rips permanent holes in reality and now there's heroes from other dimensions freely traveling to and fro through your world.

Alternatively, you're the leader of a band of adventurers.

Fuck off Elk

Elk is just a friendzoned beta orbiter who got lucky with Tsukasa's model. Mia wouldn't care about him otherwise. My superior AROMATIC GRASS growing and alchemy skills would sweep her up in an instant.

Always nice to know I'm not the only one with best taste.

What class would you be in the world?

Longarm.

I used to be likened to Gardenia, which I also didn't like. I went with it anyways since I prefer polearms as a weapon.

you could be playing .hack fragment online in VR right now.
riding a grunty in vr is neat

The World was intended to be a fairly generic MMO experience. In fact, I think that it took a massive amount of inspiration from Phantasy Star Online at the time. Each character has a set class, with high restrictions on what equipment they can use based on it. Classes determine your appearance, to the point where you can pick out what class a character is by looks and (apparently) a large number of users look similar or identical. Weapons get "skill arts" which are only on rare weapons, and do a fancy attack animation with each one. Characters meet up in town lobbies on particular servers, but they use a teleportation gate into an instanced area where they kill enemies to unlock gates to progress to the end area.

>What class would you be in the world?
LongArms. I do love those spears. Especially if I could get some healing skills on one, that would be excellent.

Blademaster

LMAO
Blackrose best girl faget.

Probably Long Arm or Heavy Blade

You Inherit a tiny fragment of an ancient heroes soul, explains why you are so weak in the beginning and also explaining why they're so many chosen ones around

Look user, I just don't have the hours necessary to explain why your taste is shit, so instead let's lament the fact that it's exceedingly difficult to find good porn of either of them

how long does it take to play through the first four games
I went through infection in like 20 in-game hours (I did a lot of fast forwarding through dungeons though)

OH NO MELON

>The World was intended to be a fairly generic MMO experience.

That's my biggest concern with VR right now. The first "true" VR MMO is probably going to be barebones as shit, where there's only maybe 3 classes and players still need to basically make their own enjoyment because there's fuck-all to do. Still, it'll get worldwide praise just for being an industry pioneer and imitators won't be encouraged to improve the formula.

Make PvP happen anywhere except towns
Diverse equipment set that can be traded allow some key pieces be interchangable between multiple classes (think charms or rings/amulets in D2).
And maybe some side shit like scroll-making for casters or grunty farming or some shit.
