Most of the really good RB Blast bullets don't work in Resurrection because the Anti-Grav chip only exists on the Grav-Shot.

You can still use the 8 step ruin shot (and make versions for snipers and assaults as well).

Yeah user i was too angry that i lost in the Livie mission. I was sure i was going to win because the DLC normal Orochi(that i could do for some reason despite it being 2-3 ranks above me at the time) went down fast.
For some reason in that mission i got the last super rare piece i needed to upgrade my Chi-You spear up to date instead of 3 ranks behind and switched Crescendo for a normal charge blood art and it went super quick and i died only 2 times. Lost more on the fucking Sekhmet.

The 6th bullet carries the anti-gravity buff. Well I thought it was a great idea at first since I can attack Sekhmet outside its AOEs but it's too slow and dangerous to use with more than one Aragami in the area.

You can't speed up Oracle Reserve, but you can combo into it from a melee attack. On PS4/Vita it's R1+X after using an action (attacking, blocking). This also works for the other gun actions like sniper stealth and assault/shotgun dash.

3rd Gen is not an official designation like Old Type and New Type was. It's only used to differentiate P66 God Arcs from P53 Arcs.

P66 itself is also one of the older Bias Factors, but no one could get it to work before Rachel. It's main advatage is that it facilitates the use of Blood powers and prevents Psion bias fields from disabling god arcs.

Use the step blood art for the buster blade. You will zoom around the fight fast as fuck, it's fun as hell. Makes your first attack fast and than just zoom again or swing a few more times. And to top it off it fills your OP gauge each time you use it, I can top off my blast reserve pretty fast.

When you place a bullet bellow the last on the bullet list, indent the bottom bullet to the right. You then have to select when the second bullet will fire so they don't clash with one another.

Some bullets can't be connected. Namely Lasers, Radial and Bombs. To fire multiple of those you need to create and orb or control and have that bullet fire off any of the above.

All deco shots can be connected to whatever.

I'm playing rez and i have a bunch of questions.
I'm on the mission where you first fight dious pita.

First of all, is there actual romance or are people just memeing?

Are the people other than you, soma, alisa, kota, sakuya, lindow and shio imortant? They feel and look like main characters but act like filler characters. Also who are those "alt" characters you can take on missiond?

It feels like i'm skipping some of the mechanics, shields seem too slow to ever be really useful, guns feel like only mortars and rockets do any real damage.

It feels like the most useful characters to take are kanon and sakuya because of the healing, and maybe alisa because she actually fires friendly shots.

Speaking of which, the special bullets you get by devouring seem useless except for maybe to fire at friendlys, and against some aragamis that let you air combo freely with raven you get like 40 of them

I have tons of money, I don't know what i'm supposed to be using it for.

How much should I play? So far I've pretty much just ignored every non story mission.

They say to use the +1 parts on your favorite arc, but because of the element damage most arcs are going to be good only against some aragamis, or mediocre against all of them...

Are there any mechanics or anything that is unintuitive or explained badly?

There are no romances in the games. The MCs are shipped with Alisa and Ciel respectively in other material.

Other Allies are filler character, but Resurrection in particular will make you use them for story missions. But they can otherwise be ignored

There is a skill to increase shield deployment speed and another to reduce block damage for the smaller shields. Other ammo types are powerful but they need to hit Aragami points that are weak to pierce

NPCs are actually pretty bad at healing because they will only attempt to heal you when you're near death. It's better to rely on HP regening skills to handle chip damage while using curatives when you need HP fast.

Aragami bullets are powerful but you can't use special modifiers to boost them further like standard bullets (besides the skill that improves them specificaly). Resurrection has a Devour control that lets you fire all your aragami bullets at once, that makes them very powerful.

Money is only used for making equipment. It has no value beyond that.

You can skip free missions

+1 arcs is a choice you need to make. you get more milage out of sticking with 1 weapon but having a bunch gives you more options.

Everything is explained quite thoroughly in the in-game database.

Dodging has no invincibility frames, it only lowers your profile to duck under some attacks. You can stay in position if you use your shield to block, and they're definitely not slow compared to how long it takes for enemies to telegraph their attacks.

In Rez I had the best experience in damage with HDH Sniper bullets but I know good Blast bullets are just as good.

Kinda useless, except if the Aragami you get them from is also weak to that element (rare cases.). Those bullets don't use Oracle though, just fire them off if you're at range and are done healing or something.

Truth is in on your favorites. In Rez there are very few enemies that are resistant (or heavily resistant) to Divine as far as I played so you almost never waste a +1 on upgraded arcs with Divine damage. If you're minmaxing on damage depending on the situation then yes you're going to need to be upgrading 2 or 3 melee types to suit any circumstance.

I don't know what Adeline is, but it butchers the original.

For guns make the meme bullets and deal tons of damage.
Special bullets are only decent DPS if you jump and shoot. It comes out a lot faster. I use my assault gun special back roll and I can shoot 3 Aragami Bullets in a second. In addition most Aragami Bullets have debuff effects like Bind and Poison.
Just +1 a non elemental arc.

A couple of bullet recipes are posted earlier in the thread.

In Resurrection, you get 5 devour slots, each of those slots has a control unit attached to it. Those controls give you special skills that activate while you're in burst mode. You can activate all 5 at once if you have a different control in each devour (charge, quick, combo, dash, air).

In the games before Resurrection (and Rage Burst in particular) the control unit was just an upgrade part that gave you a special skill while in Burst. You also only had the charge and combo devour.

With the way itemization works, sticking to 1 single weapon will give you more consistent melee damage since you can use all your +1 arcs on it, but making different weapons has the advantage of letting you tailor your weapon for specific aragami. The latter is nice in Resurrection because weapons on the whole gave you better skills than in previous games.

So on curiosity, I did the Difficulty 10 Hard mission Glowing Clouds twice. It's a fight with a Tsukuyomi and Aether. Both are divine element.

The first time I equipped a Capacitive Tower +30. No divine resistance. 992 defense. I was taking a shitload of damage each hit.

The second time, I equipped a King Lear. Double Divine resistance with 694 defense. And wow.... with nearly 300 less defense, this shield still provides way better defense. I noticed that I was taking way less damage each hit.

I guess element defense makes a huge difference when used against that has that element.

just going through the cutscenes makes me marvel at how hyper anime it is

If you're not too lazy to keep switching. it could be better defense than keeping just one +30 shield.

Gawain has a long recovery after some moves, and after some attacks he will always do another attack, so you just have to block in advance. I was raging at it yesterday but when you learn it becomes easy. It also has low health and while not all of its body is weak it's all squishy.

I dont see the use in weapons with nerfed atk in favor for good skills if you can just throw any skill you want in stronger weapons anyway. Cant really say if I like this new skill system or not for that reason. Weapons dont really feel unique anymore because of that. Now its just "throw the strongest shit in your weapons of choice" instead of switching between weapons with good skills.

If they come with nice skills, they're a good investment since getting the exact ones you want can be a hassle. Stuff like oracle blade is annoying to replicate.
Elemental effects or unusual physical type (crush short blade) could also be a factor.

crimson orochi weapons has slightly lower base attack than kurogane but it's better against any aragami that isn't only weak to divine because elemental weakness is a 25% damage boost, even more on weakpoints

You have to consider elemental affinity for melee weapons. But for non-elemental it's best to use what's plain strongest.

You'll never be able to get everyone to the moon so the Ark Project will inevitably sacrifice some people to the apocalypse. If you'll note on that chart, a double element weapon has a x1.5 multiplier on damage on a weak enemy (and a higher one on a very weak enemy, but fuck knowing which is which)
A multiple element weapon picks the best of its elements against the thing you're fighting, only hitting the reduced damage if it's resistant to all the types. Other than Evoke, they're really not that exciting. Gil's is just Charisma, Ciel's is just Sensitive plus HP Vision, Nana's is just Hate Up and Romeo's is just Muted.

Livie's and Julius's are the more interesting ones I guess, the former being a unique ability and the latter being link bursting just by using zero stance which would be great if he actually used zero stance more.
