Hotline Miami 2 was a good game. Too bad Hotline Miami 1 was a great game. In the first one the level design was tight and realistic, with it all being based off of floor plans. In the second one the map is fucking massive with all the enemies shooting you off screen. In the first one you could juggle between melee and guns. In the second one it was either guns or a Tony level. Even in a level that's a floor plan they made sure to instantly add a fat man in the first room as well as give you a (nail) gun. The only improvement in the second game was the music.

See, when people say this I know that they're scrubs. You know how I know that? Because there's holding down shift lets you see fucking miles ahead of you. Like ridiculous lengths that make you ridiculously OP.

What you say about offscreen shooting is true in very, very few cases. Most of the time the player knows he's getting into some shit. The problem is no one ever uses that fucking button and whines because they suck dick and expect to be able to run into the enemy and melee them all. That's what the first game was. Often melee was better than shooting..

2 fixes that

The problem with looking ahead with shift is enemies are constantly moving so you have to be constantly looking at them, and that using shift makes you vulnerable because a enemy can shoot you while the camera isn't on you.
