try messing around with the graphics options. Mine felt like running sub 60 as well but after changing some settings like the adapter to my graphics card and backend to direct3d instead of openGL the problem disappeared.

Fox gets combo'd by the entire cast mercilessly. Most of lower tiers' problems come from Sheik not Fox.

Samus, for example, does ok against Fox but her Sheik matchup is terrible which is the source of most of her woes.

Getting Top 8 pretty much defines which characters are viable not who wins the tournaments. Most of the top players do not put in as much work as Hbox or Armada.

When Armada came to the scene Peach was not even remotely considered top tier. However, Armada proved that with proper play you can, and he has, won majors with the character.

Basically, more people need to push the other characters (Mainly Luigi, Pikachu and Samus) to higher levels but none of them push hard enough to do so.

Smash 4 has better ledge mechanics and better balance tho.
Smash 5 neess to take all the good things from brawl, sm4sh and melee and make be the perfect smash game with a broad roster, fast gameplay foe comps and enough gimmicks for casuals

Even if Shiek is gone most low tiers still get shit on by Fox, most mid tiers and some of the high tiers as well. Fox is in his own tier and that should tell you everything. You cannot argue that shine is anything but broken

My problem really isn't with his shine though. All top tier characters have some broke shit to them. As a Falco main, Peach's down smash is torture to deal with. Look up any Westballz vs Armada set and you can see the sadness in his eyes when he dies from a down smash and a turnip.

Addtionally, Jiggs has rest, sheik has auto combos (everything leads to fair), Falco has lasers, Marth has Fsmash and CGs, IC has wobbles, even C Falc has the best fucking fair in the game.

My main problem with Fox is his stupid recovery and that he's given multiple kill of the top bullshit. He's def broken however he can be beaten like anyone else.

Yeah, but not as try hard as in melee. Used to play Mahvel a lot, but would get shit on by anyone who knew what they were doing. Of course, the same could be said of my melee skill level.

And there is no reason to tone down those broken elements to the top tiers. At least with most of those other characters they have to set up into those options and can't willy nilly throw them out if you miss rest or a knee your fucked, you can just shine spam at will however.

Don't full blown nerf anyone but tone then down while helping out the shit characters and you have a much better game.

Ledge trumping is far better than ledge hogging, you don't get pushed off stage by shine and die at 10%. Ledge trumping adds a lot of depth to recovering as the ledge guarder as the option to trump you instead putting you in a seriously bad situation, Fox can trump at the ledge and Bair for early kills all day. The ledge guarder also has the option if they have a move that can Two-Frame you can hit the opponent two frames before they snap to the ledge. Again Fox can use his up tilt at the ledge to hit a recovering opponent up above the ledge and Bair them back off stage

This also requires the recovering opponent to mix their timing up or do a instant ledge get up to prevent this. It's way more in depth than grab ledge lol

Fox is easy to play from low to mid skill level and has easy kill options, but if you seriously think playing fox is easy at a high skill level than you for another thing coming.

low level players don't know how to utilize all of Fox's options and tech skill, mid level players aren't high level players because tech skill isn't second nature to them yet
