Fucking this is a huge part of it, why you would push digital sales so hard and then require absurdly priced proprietary memory cards to do so is beyond me. I thought they had learned something from the pro duo cards the PSP used, at least there were third parties making those and keeping costs down due to every Sony device using them at the time. It really isn't that bad, yeah it's expensive but a 32gb is about the price of a brand new ps4 game and the sales on Vita are amazing so it kind of offsets the price a bit. There's literally a new big sale every two weeks, if there's a game you want it's likely it'll go on sale in the next month or so.

Apparently the 3.61 update was specifically to block Henkaku, so I'm guessing its harder to fix that but it will eventually happen.

Are there other means of hacking the Vita? I don't necessarily want to be a dirty pirate but I'd feel no remorse downloading old games.

After you install Henkaku once, whenever you restart the Vita you just need to open the molecule app, click Install and it will activate the hack again so you can open the games.

It is expensive for what it offers but you live with your mom

The Vita just depresses me. The PSP was amazing but marketed kind of shitty and tried to be too much. The Vita was a chance to be all the PSP wad good at and then some without the horseshit Memory Sticks, UMD and misdirected marketing.

So they released a PSP with better graphics and $50 memory cards that amounted to a gimped port, PSOne machine with uninspired weeb shit that NIS would be ashamed to publish.

I still want one when they drop to like $80 or $100 with a decent memory card. I feel bad for anyone who has to constantly justify their Vita purchase on Cred Forums and has gotten past the point they can recoup losses by selling it. You can do very easily, installing a VHBL bubble gives you access to emulation as it was on the psp with all your favourite emulators. Henkaku gives access to native emulators but they aren't all that yet, nor do I think they ever will be.
