Publisher (funcom I think?) was a large reason why BLC had so many grinding/shitty f2p aspects. Developers decided to self-publish and remake it.

They will argue any game with different characters with spells is a moba. That is all that is reqyired for them. Wc3 for example is a moba, 3 skills and an ultimate.
