Driver 2 made me laugh literally a whole day when I was younger. Getting out of the car near the ocean and watching your character standing on water with red letters saying "You drowned" has to be the funniest thing in gaming history.

medal of honor and moh:resistance are, imo, two of the top 5 fps of all time. it is insane how underrated they are.

oh and the old top-down Grand Theft Auto games.

The meme days though is to hate it because it can be finished in an hour and real games back in the day were 500 years long or whatever.

Haven't seen any bad recommendations thus far. Id' also recommend Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2 Eternal Blue. Fantastic 2D RPGs with great voice work and a solid pace. They're not perfect, but I've got a big soft spot for them.
