So going off of base game content what game is better?

so going off of base game content what game is better?

The Sims 4 with all its DLC still isn't as good as The Sims 3's vanilla base

Multitasking alone makes Sims 4 the better game.

actually, open world alone makes Sims 3 the far better game

3 /feels/ like it has more content than any other base sims game, purely because of the create-a-style and loading-screen-less world (which funnily enough are the two reasons why the game runs like ass)

Sims 3 got more porn mods

Sims 4 porn scene is just starting though after someone finally made an animated woohoo for it so it might surpass 3 in the future.

This is all that matters, fuck the expacs

Sims 3 runs like ass, but it's still the better game.

3 for content, 4 for porn

3 runs like ass, 4 let's you get fucked in the ass

what does it just run slow or something?

The sims 4 actually being playable makes it a better base game.

One runs terribly on nasa pc's with sims that look like abortions, and the other was gutted to run on mac craptops to the point that it doesn't even have ownable cars or even carpools for that matter.

I would just play 1 or 2.

Wait for 4 to get more mods/expansions then it will be better game that doesn't run like ass

like seriously how come Sims 3 has shit loading times even on a high end SSD

what the fuck

It's optimized and will gradually develop major slow-downs. There are mods to counter-act this, but it will occasionally still struggle to handle everything happening in the world at once.

Sims 3 base is definitely better. Removing open world was the dumbest shit. I'll probably attempt Sims 4 again when City Life comes out, though.

It's a nice small feature but not gamechanging in any way. Open world>being able to talk to your gay husband while you cook

(meant to say "unoptimized")

No expansion will ever be able to make Sims 4 on par with Sims 3 in terms of freedom and sense of consequence. Just look at what exists now. An expansion for actually being able to play out your Sim's job? Prepare to choose if you want to do that OR play as the other Sim(s) at home; or if you have two Sims with interactive jobs, you have to trade-off days for which one you control. Everything is just single buildings in a void you teleport around. The "towns" are undeveloped wastelands.

let me guess, you run it on a laptop from 2002?

Why can't EA just make an optimized sims game with openworld and multitasking? also sims 4 is garbage on the fact that it removed pools on vanilla

Pools, basements, and ghosts were a free update. It seems more like it was rushed out than anything.

See I downloaded the recommended mods to avoid slowdowns, and only installed the handful of recommended expansions, and it played fine for many hours until it began doing the same old time freezes constantly

This UI is so off-putting compared to even Sims 2's neighborhoods

So 2 plus all the expansions is the best choice, right?

i played a shitload of the sims 1

made my entire family in the sims and i even drowned my Aunt by deleting the pool ladder

i dont know why i never got into the sequels

the sims GBA games were fucking GOAT

Absolutely. 3 and 4 are fucking shit.

I've tried a couple times to go back and I can't. I'd rather just deal with the Sims 3 and make a new file ever 4-5 generations.

The mods are a fairly modest fix. I think it's inevitable. Sims 3 is simply not designed to run what it does for dozens of hours.

Sims 2 is the best, in terms of content and stability. You can even make custom maps with SC4. However, purely on content Sims 3 is better but Sims 3 runs like total dogshit even on the most robust machines.

On a side note, I really liked Lunar Lakes and Into The Future. In an ideal world, EA would revisit them but as different games (and not dollhouse simulators).

I really, really, really liked ITF's map. Also how you could get sick from being in the wasteland for too long (unless you were a plumbot).

There's also a sims 4 reference, but it wasn't nearly as good as I was hoping it would be.

I miss sims 3 open world and a few small things like winter and celebrity perks but I'm sure E "jew" A will charge 40$ for each eventually. But the sims look so much better in 4 and the creator is much more detailed so I give it the edge because what matters most in the sims is the sims.

you can run 3 on a potato, even though it runs like shit on super computers.

>Sims 2 is the best, in terms of content
>However, purely on content Sims 3 is better

FPBP

>Sims 2 is the best, in terms of content and stability.

I didn't really care for the open world shit, because it mainly clogged up the game. I guess that's more the fault of the bad programming than the mechanic itself.

I'd be happy if they just focused on improving the household gameplay.

Now I kind of have the urge to play Sims, but I don't feel like re-downloading that huge game.

I just bought 3.
What am I in for.

is sims medieval any good?

It was fun but much less free. It could have been so much more, but it's still reasonably worth checking out.

3

just pirate it because EA are complete fucking kikes about DLC

Sims 4 has nice looking pleasing graphics compared to Sims 3. In terms of content, obviously Sims 3 much better

why base game? just download all 60GB of it you scum
