BEST MMO FUCKING EVER

...

That's why it died so fast and went F2P, right?

hes not wrong. the combat for wildstar is probably the best in the genre. too bad carbine completely fucked it up with nepotism and incompetence.

It is, quite simply, a terrible and forgettable game.

Even gw2 is more successful than this shit.

needs more customizing and it also suffers from the mmo giant furniture and buildings plague

too much chua porn.
too much gay chua porn

...

Suddenly, I'm interested in Wildstar

So, the most popular games are the best ones, and the ones that don't make money are the worst ones?

So, Clash of clans and Hearthstone are top-tier games, WoW is better than WC3, MGSV is the best Metal Gear game, and Undertale is the best indie rpg?

i think he meant to say that wildstar is the exact opposite of what you would call "best" and that is reflected in its abysmal playerbase count and rapid downfall

WildStar would've been great if it wasn't so miserably mismanaged. I would absolutely hate to see this IP go to waste.

Too cartoonish and silly
The hitbox things for your attacks was shit

Yeah, and what I'm saying is that saying a game is bad because it didn't attract a huge number of MMO players is like saying that a steak house is bad because it didn't capture the McDonald's crowd.

Wildstar was fine was great, MMO fans and new gamers are bad.

I submit that there's not enough.

Too dead to warrant any discussion.

I would have played again when it went f2p but the server mergers ate up my lvl 40 characters even though they should not have.

>Fucked up launch
>Promised a pile of consistent content
>Did NOTHING after the first major update
>Delayed the Beta for the F2P update again and again and again and again to milk subs cause people wanted that mount and shit (the mount got a recolor not long after F2P if I recall correctly)
>Fucked up more shit than they fixed in the F2P update including a huge bug in the 3rd fucking dungeon making one of the major bosses literally unkillable as he just continued AoE nuking the party
>Was promising, but an utter failure and by the time they started doing better (F2P first major update) it was just too late
>The whole nightmare of Attunement
I get wanting a system to get people ready for raiding, but having people get up at ungodly hours and suffer through grinding some of those fucking Dungeons and Instances for Gold rank was absolutely retarded, they could have at least let you have access to multiple parts of Attunement at once so you can do what you want instead of everything in a set order.
They fucked up too much too often and when they finally got off their ass, nobody cared.
Also,
>Class-locking Esper to literally the 2 worst races on each side
>Class-locking to race at all
>Granok can't be Esper despite there literally being an NPC Granok Esper

No, what I'm saying that if it was actually a good game, it would have had high retention and not utterly fail to the point where they could no longer attract players with a subscription.

Once again, if a game is fine and great, people would actually want to play the game. If MMOs are fine and great, people will stay subbed or keep playing. People don't willingly keep playing a game they don't enjoy for long. And I also really doubt that the good chunk of Wildstar's playerbase collectively had money issues to cause them to stop.

>Yeah, and what I'm saying is that saying a game is bad because it didn't attract a huge number of MMO players is like saying that a steak house is bad because it didn't capture the McDonald's crowd.
your analogy makes no sense
an MMO by default is made to attract MMO players to it
how then does it make sense to say that a steak house is because it didn't capture the McDonald's crowd when it was never aiming to capture the McDonald's crowd in the first place

actually, even humoring your stupidity; wildstar was a genuinely bad game that suffered from a massive content drought right as you got to level 50; all there was to do in the game was spam heroic dungeons so you could an eldan gauntlet with a 0.3% drop chance, spam the same old dailies (with none of the dailies ever changing up) for a rep grind, or do the PVP which was broken because it regularly paired people with arena gear up against people who hadn't gotten so lucky as to be able to climb to a certain rank

pair that along with the only redeeming features of the game being two okay, yet immensely drawn-out raids and you've got an easy recipe for MMO death

What the fuck happened to Clank there

Yeah, they really let a potentially good MMO fall through the cracks. The first 2 months had some 'content updates' (AKA endless grind for favor) and had almost no midcore gameplay. It was either complete the dungeons without dying

Listen, if you bait your line this hard no one's gonna fall for it.

i want to fuck a chua

Play a real MMO.

My man

I just don't play MMOs with shit western '''artstyles'''
It's current year and Koreans are doing more realistic graphics for their MMOs than WoWcucks.

Gimme some names sir

Is it worth trying out?

I want to get into MMO games but I don't know where to start. Everyone I know either plays FF14 or WoW.

Is Wildstar really dead?

Yes, everyone got bored of it

Lore was amazingly well fleshed out for something that had no predecessor.

Gameplay was fun but Carbine shot itself in its foot when they listened to vanilla WoW nostalgiafags.

It's not completely dead. There's a perfunctory community, and it still receives updates and dev visits. It's not truly abandoned

>Lore was amazingly well fleshed out for something that had no predecessor.
That's part of what made WildStar so amazing. It was a brand new IP from a brand new company, so it was starting from square zero.

>not liking chua
That area where they were getting barbecued was a shameful fap however

Geez and I thought I was fucked up when I fapped to the quadruple amputee loli getting her eyes gouged out.

Remember me Cred Forums?
youtube.com/watch?v=FqymDgkv4oE

So what exactly is wrong with this game?

This is the only reason I almost actually played Wildstar

BIG FUTA DICKS

Horrible mismanagement basically strangled the game in the cradle.

>takes 6+ months to patch bugs

That killed Wildstar so fucking dead.

busted UI elements, shit optimization, shit itemization, poor class balance didn't help.

I really WANTED to like Wildstar. I mean their Housing module was pretty fucking sweet.

it exists i guess

The game would have FFXIV-tier subscription numbers if it was fucking optimized from the start. What were they thinking launching a game that made most hardware chug?

ugly

So if it wasn't for the shit handling of this game, would it actually be good?

From what I have read in the thread, the story elements seem great and the actual game sounds good, but other shit surrounding it is total ass. Am I correct?

The handling of the game pretty much killed it.

It's also the reason why you never listen to Vanilla WoW faggots.

The hardcore audience does not actually want to play a 'hardcore' MMO if they can whinge about the glory days instead.

Yeah, best PvE in the genre.

Yeah that's why Nostalrius was so empty, right?

The combat was pretty simplistic, I suppose. It boiled down to don't stand on the lava (you fucking moron) and stun an enemy to inflict SUPER EFFECTIVE damage.

dungeons had harder lava to not stand on (or you get gibbed) and required your team to coordinate stuns to interrupt the boss mob when it was about to do/doing a BAD THING...which was why a lot of people said dungeons were actually a blast, but the rest of the game was ass.

I hated how already in beta you had "gold run only" assholes who just wanted to speedrun dungeons. I mean, damn, if there's ONE TIME you should relax and enjoy a dungeon it's WHEN IT'S IN BETA!

>the combat for wildstar is probably the best in the genre
holy kek

Its was fun, but like many MMOs they fail to create community driven content and just have one massive grind in place of what should be adventures with friends/potential friends.

post qt chuas

>everyone talks about how "good" the housing was
>every housing item was a one time use item
Fuck that shit

Interesting movement skills
Incredibly customizable housing
Somewhat less customizable outfits
Niche artstyle
Quest hub based
Somewhat surviving community
Ded PVP scene
Next to no advertising by the company
Cash shop is almost too fair
Thick Granok Ass
MEGA VITALUS
Dominatrixbots
Catgirls
Giantess Osun Witch decorations

I really want to see where the story keeps going, considering we're gonna go see the Primeval of Logic Mechari Head in his invisible spaceship.

>level up
>EPIC FOR THE WIN DUDE! HAVE SOME BACONZORZ!
>uninstall

>ffxiv-tier
So less than 300k?

raids dungeons and announcer were fun
rest was shit

not enough chua you mean.

>thinking over-dramatic attack combos means good combat

You just described Wildstar combat.

Level up guy is over the top, yeah, but he's not usually as random as all that. I want to say he's almost doing a parody of the whole skinner box element, but then again it's probably not that deep.
>letting a

>calling vindictus an MMO

It's an instancefest thats repetetive as fuck.

The combat is good, but equating Vindictus to ANY hotkey MMO is retarded.

Hmm, that's all I really want from an MMO, the PVE. I might want to try out this game then.

Besides Wildstar, are there any other MMO games that have good PVE?

All of the writing was like that announcer douchebag, and it made leveling up something to groan at instead of be happy about. Made it hard to get invested.

It is an MMO though.

None of the races appeal to me and I hate how everyone has dreamworks face. Shame too, I kinda like the world aesthetic.

Dude you're in EVERY mmo thread, we get it, you like vindictus.

It's not a hotkey MMO, it's an action game.

It's an Action MMO.

A boring and forgettable one at that.

have you even played Wildstar?

The telegraphs make it obvious what you should and shouldn't stand in. That said, the game forces you to respect those mechanics; if you don't, you're dead.

Yes. I mained a Stalker and an Esper. I was very upset that the dominion population was so low because my first character was a Mechari engineer.

Looks like some shit that will die in a month.

Remember Black Desert Online and Archeage? Neither do I.

WildStar's housing was top-of-the-line because not only were there lots of items you could use, but you effectively had total control over everything, even the music playing and the sky overhead; if you were really good, you could effectively terraform your plot.

Unfunny try-hard WoW clone that tried to be different in only one aspect which it borrowed from 10 year old Korean MMOs and died when it couldn't shill hard enough to save its ass even when it went F2P.

Writing was cringeworthy, the maps were nice, the PVP was shit, the PVE was bland, it employed theme-park MMO designs for its quests, the music was stunning, and the art design was nice.

It was a solid 4/10 game made to bait furniggers and their autistic ERP. Its biggest advertising gimmick was "it's a new kind of MMO" when really nothing it did was new at all in any respect.

It had a thriving community for 2 years straight and had a steady decline up to now.

Mordesh are best waifus

h8 r8 redemption

I've never seen a game so irrelevant since Heroes of the Storm.

Eh, it's alright

I miss my draken lair. Housing was my only incentive to play wildestar.

It's impossible to play this MMO with 300 ping.

wildstar more like mildster because only lameos play this garbage

I want to fuck a chua

Absolute best housing you can find in an MMO.

Everything else ranges from mediocre to outright shitty.

Probably the only game I've played where they actually animate the tits instead of just slapping some havoc physics on it and calling it a day.

The game had potential, but its insanely repetitive, like, you think WoW is repetitive as fuck? Wait until you play this shit

and then there's fem mordesh.

>Everything else ranges from mediocre to outright shitty.
Best raids and dungeons, no contest.

More like there wasn't enough.

>Best raids and dungeons

Boring shit with absolutely no depth.

>really dig Mordesh and rock people
>have to be some kinda faggot rebel to play either

Fug. At least I can make a queen bee robot.

I assumed there'd be regularly released animations and added content that wasn't cut content

I was sorely dissapointed

What mmo has better group content, in your opinion? I'll need something to check out after wildstar inevitably dies.

>Absolute best housing you can find in an MMO.
Is it better than SWG was? Because as far as player housing goes, SWG still hasn't been beating in everything I've seen.

The game had poor vision.

They took around 5 to 6 years to develop the first two raids. The third one was a removed boss from the first raid but didn't bother to actually finish its design so it ended up being the most boring shit ever that also, by the way, completely ignores the second most important Tank stat.

The second raid, while great, had a FUCKLOAD of bugs, some fights were 100% broken, some of the bugs haven't been fixed after two years and its way to large for its own good.

The fourth raid, I've heard its great.

The dungeons are bar none the best ever deisgned. Sadly theres only 6 in two years.

The game had poor vision, poor management. Every talented developer that came up with the best things about Wildstar quit right after it launched.

Anything tied to NCsoft is not to be trusted.

>Is it better than SWG was?

If you want to be able to put your house (nearly) anywhere on the map like in SWG, you're outta luck. The housing is instanced.

But actual decoration is a million times better. More items, items that actually give you buffs, you can put down different plots that grow resources for crafting, trees, minigames, all sorts of shit.

I played in the beta and some guy got all the minigame decoration/plots and turned his home into some sort of playground/theme park and just invited anyone to come in and play the games. Shit was fucking fun.

>tfw been playing since beta
I've long since given up hope this game will ever be saved. Now I just want to enjoy as much as I can while I can. There's nothing else like wildstar out there and I'll be sad to see it go.

shame the f2p release did nothing for the playerbase

i guess even free shit is still shit

>If you want to be able to put your house (nearly) anywhere on the map like in SWG, you're outta luck. The housing is instanced.
This is literally the most important thing that matters to me in a MMO.

An MMO should have zero instances, everything should be persistent on one server.

>this thread still has more IPs than the FFXIV thread

But the downside is that the map then has to be 100 square miles of boring nothingness, like in SWG.

You could put your house anywhere, sure. But do you want to have to walk for 10 minutes into the middle of the fucking dune sea just to put some shit in your house?

>Every talented developer that came up with the best things about Wildstar quit right after it launched.
You mean they were laid off after around the first month. Timetravel stuck around until just before arcterra though. He was fired for some unknown reason. RIP in peace. There are still talented people there, they just can't do anything besides keep the servers running.

You do know that IP stands for images posted and not individual posters right? You're not that retarded, right?

>But do you want to have to walk for 10 minutes into the middle of the fucking dune sea just to put some shit in your house?
Yes, that's literally the point of an MMO, that it's closer to an actual world than a single player game.

If I wanted combat, or a story, or any other kind of content, I'd play a single player game or a regular online multiplayer game. The only thing MMOs do better than single player game is the part where it's a persistent world and you're not some chosen hero but just a dude in a fantastic world trying to make your way.

Modern MMOs seem to miss that point and instead they're more like regular games where you occasionally have to tolerate other people.

Its like Spore; it had all the makings of something great but failed to deliver. Now because of that, there will never be anything like it again.

It just needs one good surge of new players to get by, but no one wants to abandon their long established MMO for a chance at a decent game.

So, in the videos I saw in the earlier wild star lifespan, I found the pvp to be kind of cool looking.
If anyone has played it and pvped, how was it?

No, you got it twisted, user. "Files" is images posted. "IPs" are unique posters.

It stands for IPs chum, this thread doesn't even have 30 images, have a (You).

>Its like Spore
That's not something you throw around lightly. Wildstar was a disappointment at launch but it still delivered on some of it's promises, like housing and challenging content.

Every fucking MMO is an exercise in repetition, that's why the entire genre is shit.

Wildstar was less bad than others on the base of it being actually pretty fun to play, though.

>this thread doesn't even have 30 images
I can post some.

Is that a cat from overgrowth?

The raids were too easy and the developers too incompetent.

What is that cat from?

>The raids were too easy
How so? When my group tried system daemons for the first time they kicked our ass.

its funny when i see people wanting to play vindictus after them seeing some webms of the game. im pretty sure just about all of them will play the game and then realize right away how fucking terrible it is.

>Yes, that's literally the point of an MMO
>doing boring shit alone is the point of an MMO

Mate, you can say instanced housing is shit, but it's quite obvious you never played SWG.

The map was open and empty and had almost nothing going on in it. There was something like 3 fucking points of interest on the entire Tatooine map - the tusken fortress, krayt graveyard and jabbas palace (there was also the squill cave but it was nonsense). Everyone else either hung out in anchorhead or mos whatever. Other planets weren't much better (nobody gave a shit about Lok, Naboo or Yavin).

Nobody wanted to come visit your shitty little one room house in the desert, because it would be a boring trip. There's nothing social about it.

>Turned my shitty starter house into a 2story house with objects

it was small but it was cozy

>tfw spending hours on a house that no one will see

Take screenshots and share, user-chan

it's a crime how few fem granok players there are.

I don't wanna get on though

Overgrowth

>but it's quite obvious you never played SWG
Bitch I played SWG from release all the way to CU, and then on and off until NGE. It had its share of problems, a lot of them actually, but for all it problems it offered things that no other MMO offered ever since WoW was released. It felt like a world, and you felt like a dude living in that world, you didn't even have to go into combat once and you could still enjoy the experience. Additionally, few people built houses alone, they always made a city with their PA. And while it was pretty empty, populous servers (the few that existed in it's heyday) did fill up the empty land some. MMO devs shouldn't have to provide all the content, they should provide a sandbox for players to build their own content and find their own fun in their world.

If you don't want to do all that shit, maybe you pre-WoW MMOs just aren't for you. They were niche back then and they're still niche now.

Ah yes, the game that never was even thought the dev made videos about it all the time.

>like mechari
>can't be spellslingers

At least the constant updates from developers make me feel like one day the game might finish, and not end up like Interstellar Marines, which I think only has 1 dev left working on it.

>Bitch I played SWG from release all the way to CU, and then on and off until NGE

Then you know that for all the things that were good about it, being able to put your fucking house in the middle of the godamn desert wasn't something that promoted a social experience. Who the fuck are you trying to trick, here?

The only times people gave a shit about housing locations were when they were unique and limited, like shit right outside the krayt graveyard. I made so much money by opening a shop in my house and selling shit to all the retards that came in massive groups to kill krayt dragons. And when they added towns it became even better.

But don't try to argue that being able to place houses anywhere somehow made the game more social and open. Nobody gives a fuck about your shack on top of a mountain on Endor. If you didn't put it somewhere that people frequented, you didn't matter.

>Interstellar Marines
Poor guys. Last update is them searching for a publisher. The whole reason they tried to self fund was because they didn't like the publisher deals they were offered years ago.

i remember the skill system was a little shallow, like every class was builder/finisher/proc and your options were just square telegraph, rectangle telegraph, or the one that's has an effect but does 20% less dps so nobody uses it

She looks like she crawled out of Revolution60

By this logic, CoD is an MMO.
Just because it's multiplayer, an RPG, and more than 4 players at a time doesn't make it an MMO. It's a Lobby-based Multiplayer-centric Action RPG, not an MMO.

You seem to focus on the fact that you could put your house in the middle of nowhere when my point was never about that at all.

I'm arguing that instanced anything, but particularly housing, has no place in a MMO and instantly makes any MMO that has it terrible and barely a MMO, in my eyes.

Yes, nobody actually put their house in the middle of nowhere, but having that option made the game infintely better than any MMO currently out. Same with UO, although I didn't get to play that much. And if some guy wanted to play a hermit, more fucking power to him, having the option to do so is what made SWG great.

It's really too bad that SOE can't manage a MMO to save their lives.

aurin boysluts are my fucking weakness, the world needs more of them wearing cute dresses!

The game's only good for ERP nowadays anyway.

>every class was builder/finisher/proc
Not every class is an esper.

I haven't played my aurin in months.

ERP is the only endgame that matters.

Play warframe you dirty weebs

This looks like the people who made Revolution 60 made a sequel. Gross.

Sorry, didn't know the hair style would trigger you fellas that bad.

You obviously never raided Datascape.

I miss my sluts.

It wasn't the hairstyle. It was the potatoface.

Whatever. There's like 4 decent faces and they all require slider tweaking to make them look presentable.

>Make a game for the hardcore audience
>Ignore all feedback from the hardcore audience and what they want in a game
>listen to casuals who watch people like Preach unironically
>attract large casual players who love housing, shiphands, and and playing dressup
>ignore them and double down on hardcore audience which has literally already abandoned the game because so many shitty systems made it to live

I'm sad that the game didn't have height sliders, I really wanted to have an Aurin waifu dom the fuck out of a cute short human

I wouldn't really consider looking like a street sign acceptable but whatever floats your boat.

Which side is more popular? which side has the most ERP?

>Ignore all feedback from the hardcore audience and what they want in a game
Nah, the problem is they catered too much to hardcore fags
>dude... 40 MAN RAIDS LMAO
Carbine didn't realize it's not the raid loggers who will keep your game afloat, it's the casual social players.

Exile

Exile

Thank you kind user.

I rather take the right then the left, obviously.

>tfw still play everyday.

Tbh all tab targeting mmos should just die. They're relics of the past when gaming couldnt handle massive amounts of players interacting with enemy models' hitboxes.

Also +1 for posting hurk in this otherwise boring ass wildstar thread

How good are the engineers in the game?

Hardcore raiders hate 40man raids. The only people who have ever liked them are casuals who are okay with pugging half the raid size. The entire internal QA team and Black Ops team were just like "Guys 40mans are retarded", but Carbine ignored it because at the time there was this huge push for 40 man raids in MMOs for some reason, and some people in the company in positions of importance were married to the idea.

>tfw you will never go drinking with Pappy

Engie is one of my least played classes but the general consensus is that every class is in a good place. The days of warrior god kings are long gone. You don't have to worry about being shit just because of the class you picked.

>They announce its going f2p
>a lot of people express interest in finally being able to play it
>this is their chance to save the game
>THEY COMPLETELY FUCK UP THE F2P LAUNCH
I couldnt believe it. After the fourth day of trying to create a character and being unable to I just said fuck it and uninstalled. Wildstar had a few cool things about it but the people behind the scenes were/are massively retarded.

>They're relics of the past when gaming couldnt handle massive amounts of players interacting with enemy models' hitboxes.

So long as the speed of light is a constant, action MMOs will never take off. They will always be things that people say they want, then they get into them and realize that anything more than 20ms makes them unplayable, and then they quit.

The only possible reality where Action MMOs aren't shit is one where scriptkiddies stop playing them or when anti-cheat protection gets to thee point where it can prevent shit reliably, and the action part of the game is done client-side. This will literally never occur, though.

They're part of the "I worked on WoW, I can do anything!" crowd that left Blizz following the early days. They were all idea guys, they all desperately need someone in charge of them to keep them on track and to tell them that their ideas are retarded.

Of course, because of their work history, investors are more than happy to let them LEAD teams of their own, which results in shit like Mark Kern and Firefall, Carbine and Wildstar, and others.

I cannot play a class with a 7 button rotation anymore. Spellslinger and it's 3 utility slots have spoiled me.

By the f2p launch I'd guess all the people responsible for fucking up were gone. That seems more like a case of ncsoft saying no you will not get more servers until there is demand for them.

>So long as the speed of light is a constant

>He doesn't know

I'm a big dumb casual baby I thought this silly rollie-pollie big glowy area attacks game was sleep walk boring. I'm not sure how the hardcore crowd could stick with it long enough to get to the 6 gorillian man raids.

What level did you get to?

not enough chua

Every Asian mmo is the same cash grab gamble garbage with gachapon, poor armor design that is a cash grab for costumes, "convenience" items that are pay to win, because without them the game is shit rather then fix this shit just buy some cash shop item.
Oh and 0.0003% rng is okay when it requires 5 months of work to grind up said items to get a chance at this new item that will follow the most bullshit form of rng.

Who gives a shit about graphics or even gameplay when everything is hindered by poor business choices of cash grabbing your playerbase forcing them into a cash shop to make your game better rather then solving the problems and making the game better.

Mabinogi
Maplestory
Tera
Archeage
Blade and Soul
Tree of Savior
Black Desert

All the same garbage.

Great aesthetics, good music, serviceable voice acting, fun combat, innovative (not necessarily all great, but new) mini-games/professions, interesting lore, player housing, character creator. It had a lot of great features.

I stopped having fun after about a month and I still don't really know why. I even tried going back, but it just wasn't fun.

>serviceable voice acting
The voice acting is fucking great, every other person is some prolific VA who's been doing stuff since the 90s. Part of the fun for me is the feeling that I'm almost playing a cartoon.

Can't have been very high, I mostly hopped to new characters trying to find some experience in the game that wasn't somehow both completely overblown but also totally bland.

>BWAAAAAGGHH BIG BAZOOPA YOU LEVELED UP AND SAVED THE LANDING FORCES SON!!!
>now here go do another jump puzzle or set up some buff stations or something, entertain yourself champ

Because the content is extremely limited despite there being a good amount, it's fairly easy to burn it all down in 2 months of solid play. So unless you get really in depth with the housing system and start making works of great aspiration then you're going to get bored very quickly after you do all the quest, raids, dungeons and pvp. The saddest parts happen to fall under pvp which they never fixed, and warplots were never used despite being cool.
Also pvp gear could be finished in a weekend, which made the rewards from pvp pretty lack luster.

Got to level 50, was a lot of fun

stopped playing there, had plans to pick it back up, it never happened

>pay to win

hang on, let's make something perfectly clear.
there are no mmos that you "win". they do not have any kind of win scenario. there are lots of "pay to grind less" mmos, however

>always see people say they hated the level up effects
Why don't you people just let yourselves have fun?

Oh my fucking god, I though you peoplee were a myth, but here you are

Name a single MMO that you can 'win'. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Because people take their MMOing very seriously

Any MMO with PvP???? ? ? ? ? ?? ?

Not him, but MMO's are made up of various games within the game itself - dungeons, raids, PVP, etc.

You may not win the MMO itself, but instead you win whatever 'game' you are currently playing by beating the battleground/dungeon/whatever.

It is false to claim that there are no wins whatsoever in an MMO.

This. You don't play MMOs to have fun.

>mmo pvp
lol
wildstar's isn't doing that well either.
>pvp fag telling people to queue for bgs in chat
>proceeds to destroy everyone while being kept up by his pocket healers
>complains when no one wants to do pvp anymore

>Complete a mission in a game
>This is winning

>Complete a raid tier
>This is not winning

Unless you're going to be one of those retards who's gibbers about dragonslaying or sandboxes, in which case you already knew how this conversation would go so I guess just fuck off?

If you're going to turn around and talk about how "well buying power isn't paying to win then!" then fuck you, you know full fucking well that Pay To Win is a term that refers to buying an advantage, not literally paying to skip content.

This basically reads like the scene is too small

fucking this global chat is just faggots spamming queue battlegrounds. And it's always a one sided stompfest cluster fuck.

It is, and it doesn't grow because the only people who do it just shit on anyone new so it puts them off.

There are currently 397 people playing it on steam. Drones will talk about how it's also available not on steam, but fail to mention the big push from the remainder of the community after f2p that got most of the remaining playerbase to move to steam to inflate the numbers and thus its position on the f2p listing.

Optimistically, that means there were, at peak hours last weekend, ~1000 people playing it.

Thee game is so small and insulated from the outside that new players simply can't get into it, coupled with the big mmos on the market currently giving out free handjobs to new players in how the content is styled, I'll be amazed if their servers are still up by Christmas.

I get what they were going for but it just didn't come across right. It was too forced and lazy. It bleeps out swear words in some weird 90s throwback to when bleeps were still a thing.

It's the loudest part of a presentation and attitude the game has where it seems like there's a certain borderlands meets pixar idea they had but they just couldn't figure out how to pull it off.

>Drones will talk about how it's also available not on steam, but fail to mention the big push from the remainder of the community after f2p that got most of the remaining playerbase to move to steam
There was no push to get people to move to steam. People were saying to write good reviews. Either way it doesn't matter how many people play though steam or the client itself, the population isn't huge.

>make a game with thick rock women, rave zombies with huge knockers, skeezy lizard girls and literal sexbots
>everybody plays humans, the midget space gerbils or weeaboo bunnies

I can't even comprehend this shit

>There was no push to get people to move to steam

There absolutely was, the devs all but begged people to swap to the steam client to inflate the numbers at one point.

Space gerbil and weeb bunny players are all furry ERPers.

Maybe the level up effects were intended to be a joke. You know, because modern, specifically korean, mmos do extravagant shit like give you wings when you level up now. Maybe having pyrotechnics, a guitar riff, an announcer, and the words 'level up' in some edgy metal font wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

FFXI since the entire series ended with Rhapadies.

>There absolutely was
I really don't remember anyone saying to download through steam. I remember a lot of people saying to write review but not play though steam. I would remember something like that since I've played this game almost non stop since beta.
I do remember people fucking off back to the client because of verification issues though.

To be fair, these are some of the most THICC humans I've seen in an MMO.

>haha get it we're totally blowing this out of proportion in an obnoxious way
>it's funny! see watch when i do it next time

What is this weeb shit?

I want an aurin pet.

You're really against just letting yourself have fun aren't you? I bet you also hated the holocrypt voice, or the caretaker cracking wise whenever you used a transmat.

>this shit is not funny
>"WHY DO YOU HATE FUN??"

Please stop pretending you have a final say on what is and is not fun. It just makes you look like a retard.

Why is it dying?

So this game is basically WoW but without a large userbase?

Wildstar looks like the better game...but I guess it doesn't have a powerhouse like Blizzard to shill it constantly.

I'm not trying to be some authority on humor, I'm just saying it sounds like you would rather complain about something rather then just let yourself enjoy it. God forbid you laugh at a cheese joke. Better call it leddit shit instead.

ncsoft's idea of marketing was putting wildstar posters on trashcans. Then with the steam launched they paid some youtube fags to play through the early levels. Not the dungeons or anything though. You know, the parts of the game that are actually really good. No. The boring as fuck questing.

>I'm just saying it sounds like

I'm not even the guy you've been talking to, but this passive-aggressive nonsense is obnoxious. It's borderline shitposting.

>this adam sandler movie is complete shit
>"Sounds like you would rather complain than let yourself enjoy it!"

Please pull your head out of your ass.

Don't really remember that stuff but yeah maybe it's just me. After all, nearly 1000 people can find fun in this game.

I did think those Flicks were both fun and funny though.

The game came out before THICC

They need a rerelease style event

Why don't you mind your own business, gaylord

>you are now aware that these characters were designed by the same guy

Hey fuck you buddy.

>They need a rerelease
I'm sure ncsoft will buy a new trailer and everything.
Play wildstar again! Fourth time's the charm!

>Too much gay

>of a race that doesn't have females

Well now.

>doesn't have females
They do though

Oh. Haven't been following for a while.

The whole joke is only chua can tell male and females apart, to everyone else they're indistinguishable.

What now?

Aren't they genderless by default in the creation screen?

Ah, so it's a furry space dwarves joke.

Is medic class fun? Sounds like you have to do damage as well, which is a bit concerning.

The combat and questing bored me to tears and the PvP was an awful clustefuck

After I played the beta I had no desire to play it again, not even after it went f2p

you CAN do damage as well.

You can just be an aoe healslut if you want.

Each class has their dps and support role, support means either healing or tanking depending on the class.
and yes, they're fun. one of the more unique classes.
