A long time, the capital ship systems (ships, navigations, weapons, etc) need to be fun and usable before they can release capital ships. Currently they're rather poor and need more refinement, but I think the Idris is pretty much complete given how it's being used for Squadron 42

The herald is okay, I still think the ship design is pretty ugly but it's growing on me.

Hearald and the news reporter ships are the only ships I'm skeptical of. I mean how are they gonna make running information fun?

Yea you are basically right overwatch sucks. And for now so does Star Citizen, it looks great but it is going to be a while and isn't worth talking about.

Your best bet is to stop following the game and only look at shit that goes mainstream like the 3.0 trailer thingy. Time will fly with other games coming out to occupy you and before you know it, the game is out.
