OP I got the same problem you do.
But there really is no game that focuses on pistols aside from some western shooters.
You just gotta play on hardmode and use pistols only in most other games

can't remember how was pistol in bulletstorm, I remember I did some fun kills with it but can't remember if you could comfortably finish the game with it

Maybe Insurgency except for larger areas outdoor, pistols are quite good there.

It was originally made as part of a 24 hour game jam I beleive so its a bit bare-bones, but if its handgun sim you're looking for this has got to be the most anal; just about every possible action has a key assigned to it.

So? The latest mod still gives you a couple of more weapons and fixes some bugs. It's a shame the game won't get any more updates though.
