Being qpu misaligned doesn't mean you can't qpu realign. It's doable if you follow the qpu grid. Not to mention it's possible to sometimes end up in a non qpu position. You can move in regular pu intervals if your sync speed drops you into a pu next to the nearest qpu either intentionally or unintentionally. He qpu misaligns during the watch for falling rocks star. And then qpu realigns afterwards and hits the raised scuttlebug after entering the regular universe and ground pounds in the collision misaligned wall which jumps him up.

Again. Qpu misalignment isn't a death sentence. It's a challenge but doable and you can realign and even move back into the regular universe.

Especially relevant when finding the best path across multiple slopes for the right sync speed across each one, which means you're going to need a hell of a lot of time standing there in a corner doing nothing, pressing up against a wall before you can launch into a qpu or pu and across the right slopes so your sync speed is right. That's the whole purpose of building so much speed. Well that and traversing all those pus and qpus, but that's again for going up those slopes.
