Why not sonic 2 or 3&K?

my dad's favourite game is resident evil 4. finished it 16 times or so i think. After that he never finished another game and today he doesn't play anymore at all.

still alive, just "grew out of it"

i also watched him play RE2, RE3, Silent Hill, etc. when I was a kid. Good times.

My dads favourite game is SOCOM. He's alright

My real dad diddled me when I was a little kid. I was so young I don't even remember it but apparently my mom caught him in the act.

He went to prison and everything now he can never see me again and the kicker is he still has to pay me money every month which I spend on being a NEET. I even got a new dad when I was 5 and he was a pretty cool guy and took me on camping trips and bought me video games and also said he felt sorry for what happened to me so he spoiled me rotten.

Greatest dads of all time honestly. Sucks you never got one.

>his dad is young enough to have grown up with video games
Damn kids get off Cred Forums no one invited you here.

It's probably just nostalgia.

r8 my dad's favorite vidya Cred Forums

He doesn't play anymore, but he used to be a bit of a computer geek back in the 90s, would buy the family the newest models practically every year.

Just as a little tangent, I remember one of the computers--might have been a Gateway--having a "turbo" button and to this day I've never known what it did, all I remember was the fan getting louder

my dad's a faggot

My dad's favourite game is gran turismo

My Dad's favourite game was Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels before he quit videogames forever.

It's hard getting my dad to play anything but once I do he basically just plays it non-stop.

He used to play game regularly when I was a little kid I got all his hand me down game consoles and computers growing up. His favorites for a long time were Zelda 1 and Doom. I got him into Serious Sam and he played that for awhile, most recently I got him to play FTL a few years back. I basically had to baby sit him through like 2 games before he picked it up, he's a big Star Trek guy so I figured it'd click eventually but at first he just wasn't liking it. Now though he's got like 1000 hours in FTL and cleared the game on hard with every ship. Still plays it too. I think he even made a few mods.

>uninstalled

How old is your dad user?

Mine's 63 and he plays video games.

My dad will only play Galaga, SMB3, and the first level of Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. That's it.

Do we share dad? FTL is dadgame nr 1

>turbo button
UNDERclocks the cpu to make it compatible with old games that are timed by cpu frequency.

67. I guess he just never got into games. He was the one that got me my first two consoles (SNES and Genesis) and he thought they were pretty cool, but he never played them himself.

>his dad is young enough to have played video games

My dad is almost 70 and he played video games in the 80s.

My father hasn't actually sat down and played a game since the first Super Mario Bros game. while he was in his early 20s.

You should see him try playing demos down at gamestop.

Tomb raider 1
not top notch but pretty baller

>67. I guess he just never got into games
My dad grew up watching Star Trek and reading Sci-fi novels. He was a computer nerd even since a young age. Married my mom because she was also a sci-fi nerd who loved computers.

He loved building and tinkering with them and as far back as I can remember he's also played video games. For a long time he was the big PC gamer in the house while me and my little sister mostly played on consoles but we always had computers and game consoles in the house.

Hell my NES that I grew up on was his originally and he's the one that bought the SNES when it came out.

His favorite was either Alien Trilogy or Gran Turismo

My dad's favourite was Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis

>His favourite games were Street Fighter 2 on SNES and WWF Smackdown! on PS1

The only game my Dad has played for more than a couple minutes to humour me was Rayman.

He completed it aswell, I can't even do that shit

Mine's is probably Oregon Trail

>Not gifting your dad this

My dad's favorite game is Fallout New Vegas.
I'm 20. He's 41.

Probably had to start supproting your ass. 2008 was a rough year and he had to make a change to adapt to the world, if you werent 10 at the time youd know

Oh, so you were an accident then?

I hate my dad but he had a full joystick setup and let me play Mechwarrior, and for that I am grateful.

>Dad's favorite game is Sim City 4
>Have had to watch get excited and then disappointed by Sim City Societies and the Reboot

You're right, it's actually Delta Force: Black Hawk Down.

>my son must never know my past
>i was the first person to beat silver surfer

My Dad's favorite game is Burnout 3
Why do you want your dad to play your mom's game?

>he knows his dad

The only game my dad plays is Microsoft FreeCell.

He has the best taste in the thread.

>Not DOOM and Marvel versus Capcom

If your dad has ever had a history of blood pressure issues and/or heavy smoking, tell em to checked for potential brain aneurysms.

>OP's favorite game isn't RollerCoaster Tycoon 2

>now though he's got like 1000 hours in FTL and cleared the game on hard with every ship
Goddamn, that's pretty impressive, I gotta say. Playing FTL on hard is like trying to pick fly shit outta pepper with your shoest, let alone beat it with every ship. I would never have the patience for that.

My dad's favorite game was Diablo 2 I think, he had a level 90 paladin he only ever played single player on

Dan "The screams make me wider" Schneider

>tfw my dad hates videogames
>tfw it was my grandpa that introduced me to VGs with age of empires, some freaking old train management game and Sim City

My dad's a fucking Galaga savant.

Age of Empires 2

I bet my dad can beat your dad.

My dad's favorite game is Starcraft 64

I used to come home to find my dad playing Splinter Cell. He wasn't very good at the whole stealth thing sadly.

Your dad is probably a virgin

I started playing video games in the late '90s - early '00s, my dad bought a PlayStation which he modded almost immediately in order to play pirated games he got for cheap.
Then when we got a computer along with a shitty internet connection (plus a PS2 with top loading and a modded Dreamcast) we started pirating games like mad, I think I used to have something like 300 CDs/DVDs with games on them that we bought in bulk.
Unfortunately those were Princo CDs and DVDs, a chinese brand pirates knew well because they were cheap as fuck and would become unreadable in a matter of months.

My dad's favorite game is possibly Metal Gear Solid 2. We only had 3 genuine games, which were that, the first Resident Evil and Virtua Soccer 99 (in japanese). He tinkered with computers but never got it.
The last game he played was Vegas 2. After that, he never bought anything by himself again.

My Dad's favorite games are Duck Hunt and Halo 3.

>He tinkered with computers but never got it.
*never got games on it, even though he played the SWAT games.

My dad has no interest in games, but my uncle used to do shit like beat Halo on Legendary and play games like pic related for 12 hours on a Saturday.

He never told me but I think it was hide and go seek. Haha, that guy is pretty good. Still trying to find him all these years later.

so was mine

was....

;_;

>implying my dad plays video games
