Xenoblade and X have some of the best environments ever in games, simply because they're very diverse and you can explore them from top to bottom. There's even scenic areas that you can find and get extra exp from, very rarely does a game actually push you towards exploring the setting and makes it worthwhile.

I know that fucking feeling. When I got to it "oh fuck, shitty swamp area..", then as it turned to night. All the lights start coming on, the sky changes color, then that music. Holy hell. The only other area of the top of my head to feel like that was the snowy mountains, when it gets night and you can see all those yellow lights.
