What is there to learn? The instructions couldn't be more basic. I see people running around the map shooting niggers but meanwhile I'm the only 1 pushing the cart to their base. In Overwatch? Because I agree in that case. I like a lot of the Paladins characters so far. Barik is a lot fucking better than Torbjorn that's for damn sure. It's been known for a long time that Freemium games are entirely propped up by 5% of the players who spend a ridiculous amount of money on them while 90% never spend a dime. The remaining 5% spend maybe once that's it.

I have spend over $350 on smite, $600 on tf2, I have spent collectively around 400 dollars on borderlands, and 300 on the fallout series.
I don't have any issues paying in a ton of money to a good game, as thats the reason devs make games, and f2p models are almost always more customer friendly than traditional sales.
My beef is bad practices like overwatch having micro transactions while costing 40 dollars, and the lack of content in a 40 dollar game. I bought overwatch to play with my friends, but honestly the content the game has right now was not enough to warrant 40 dollars in my opinion, mostly because of the attitude of blizzard and the micro translations on a lottery system, something I am fine with in tf2 and free games.

So who is your favorite Paladins character and why is it Reinhardt? I feel like his combination of shield, fireball, and charge moves makes him a really unique FPS character.

Fernando has 2 that are a combo offensively, and 2 that are a combo defensively. And his ulti fits a tank very well.

I've been using Fernando, my main benefit for the team is my shield, but 9 out of 10 players are too fucking stupid to realize they can stand behind my fucking shield and shoot through it, hurting the enemy, while the enemy can't shoot through it and harm them. So my stupid fucking team runs from behind the shield to the side, or in front and get themselves killed.

Fernado has no melee attack. Good way to kill your credibility. You have never played paladins or you'd know he has a flamethrower and no melee.
He also can charge with shield up, his fireball reduces healing, and his shield is cooldown based.

Paladin's rein also had a small normal shield before OW, then overwatch became successful and they changed it to a large blue energy shield.

Fernando has no melee attacks. Moreover Fernando is actually pretty dangerous offensively. He punishes the fuck out of grouped up targets with his fireball and him being able to dash while shielding, his shield being on a cooldown, and being able to make his charge knock people back add way more depth and reward to his kit than what Reinhardt has. Also his ult makes himself and nearby allies unkillable.

Na, I bought overwatch and its staying power is only 2 months and 70 hours. Would not recommend, considering learning counters is not fun for casuals and the game is not skill reliant enough to warrant "mastering" it. Now I just play with friends maybe and hour a week.
Compared to paladins it feels slow and matchups are predetermined to a large extent.
and paladins has much more thought into the characters kits and how they will play. Bombking is probably one of the most fun and bet designs I can think of in a recent game, even with the bugs he currently has. I already tossed 50 paladins way because of the 40 hours I put in in the last week.

I played like 500 hours of dota.
Counters are not the issue, its the identity crisis that is overwatch.
It wants countering to be prominent in its games, but doesn't balance the counters and make counters based off skill. It also takes such little skill to kill players due to the overly simplistic and shallow gunplay.
Rather then blending the styles of ability based classes into a shooter, like tf2 where rocket jumping is a action instead of a a keystroke, it gives pharah essentially one less skill and turns a character that could of had something fun to pull off a rehash of an other idea done poorly.
Add on this how bad most players are in overwatch and you see why some people think bastion is op.
Other then that 1/2 the characters kill the pace of the game, reinhardt is standing around holding m2 65% of the match, bastion sits in a corner and hopes people are incompetent enough to stand in front of him, widow camps and hides until she has to run to her team, junkrat is hallway spam 2.0, and roadhog is solo q hero status.

I hated playing with this bastard on my team, but once I started playing him myself I found out how fucking fun he is.

Hell, that's every character I've tried so far. A bad X character on your team makes you hate them, but they're all really fun and useful in their own way.

Buck seems to be the character I see people struggling with, they expect him to deal crazy damage, when he is more about outlasting others in a 1v1 and slowing them to a crawl to secure kills and get easy shots off.

Yeah, learned that when I tried him out. Granted I usually go defense boost first when I pick a character for the first time, it just happens to work really well with Buck.

Just run up to the point and hold it, leap onto people that you can kill if they get out of position, heal yourself constantly, net people to impede progress/regress.

I play him like an off-tank style with the option to chase people down. His ult lets him shotgun people for 1200 damage a shot too, which is nice when you get it up.

Whats actually really fun for me is going for lifesteal on him, as there is a card for up to 40% lifesteal during recovery, and chasing people with 70% lifesteal is scary good.

Paladins is superior to OW but people just really like licking Blizzards butthole. Paladins has more depth and doesn't cost almost as much as a full priced game, shit you can play it for free if you really want. Can't do that with Overwatch.

I can't really explain it, all I know is I prefer Drogoz.

Hanzo, 76, Reinhardt (although his anatomy is a clusterfuck in almost every imaginable way). Those three are the most blatant and horrific of the culprits for the liefeld body, although almost all the male characters share the same silhouette just with their triangles and legs being different thicknesses.

Is Evie useless? I was getting insane streaks as Skye, like 20-30+ right off the bat. I bought Evie and could barely kill one person. She's so frail and her attacks are hard to use effectively, especially since you need to ice block yourself in the middle of enemies for the normal attack to be strong. I get nuked instantly even with the movement skills since they are clumsy. Seems like there's no reason to use her.

Evie is highest tier along with bomb king and Andy. Max cd reduction on soar and ice block, zoom zoom killing anyone that isnt grouped up. You can teleport while blocked to get the full 60% damage boost if you need it, most things die in 2 regular blink buffed shots however.

Evie doesn't really do anything, or at least I never saw her really have an inpact on anything. As a tank I usually just ignore her until she goes away and as an attacker she gets destroyed. Skye on the other hand is the most OP piece of shit in the game currently. Ridiculous stealth + machine gun poison damage up close, with an ult that can wipe out an entire team instantly with its bizarre hitbox and insane damage.

I haven't seen that dwarf fucker do anything of use either in any game I played, and when I played as him I saw why. he does fuck all damage, his shields are pathetic and his turrets blow up after someone farts 10 feet away from them.
