Everything ITT so far is good, and while not a steam game Dwarf Fortress could run on even the oldest of toaster PCs.

TF2 is incredibly unoptimized and will kill most potatoes.
It has been on a steady downhill since forever. Both when it comes to quality and FPS.
This is a good list, however I'd add Terraria to it (Runs on everything and has insane longevity especially when playing with friends)
Honestly you should just play through a backlog of retro games through emulation. Super Metroid is dope af give it a try ay?
Ys series
binding of Isaac
Nidhogg (for the hour it lasts you)
Lisa
audiosurf
maybe mount and blade warband and any other 10 year old game for that matter.

Rimworld is interesting. Lacking a lot of content but what is in the game is fun.

What are you even doing on Cred Forums?
Hotline fucking Miami and this
There is literally no way of uploading screen shot otherwise. It's 2016, not 2050.
