Basically if you just got all your crafters to 60, nothing for you changes much, you still have to get some Ironworks gear to meet the requirements need in this new patch (Which will be steep).

Once you do that, you will be able to craft extremely good gear, wonderful glamours and a bunch of cosmetics (Once you get your specialists going though). To further see what will be craftable by each specialist, refer to these in the new recipe section -

Back at the start during A7 prog, I was gonna sub for my friend in his other static, but that meant forfeiting my pages/loot from 5/6. Its seriously terrible and they could design it better.

For healers well, it depends really.
You can switch freely between WHM and AST.
But SCH needs accuracy, so you either put everything into accuracy or meld for better healing for your WHM/AST.

It was even better when the maps weren't entirely automatically revealed for you.

Exploring was a real joy, especially when you'd see things like Burning Wall in the distance in Eastern Thanalan and eventually realize you can actually go inside it.

Nobody did coils at the time, there was no incentive. You would've had to party finder it, but even then it would've been unlikely. People are doing Coils now because it changes dialogue in the new MSQ, but you might still have some trouble. I'd just grab the XPAC.

Here's the way i see it: WoW will never be as good as it once was, even if it playable. So i want no part in it any longer, especially if they can't even be consistant with their lore and story.

There's some mechanics you still need to know about but it's mostly a breeze.

Yep, and you can pirate/emulate them all. I recommend giving them a try. If you're gunna start with the earlier games, emulate the PSP versions as they fix a lot of the early NES era bugs. Also, the DS remakes of the SNES games are pretty good.

I'm actually playing MCH on [ad now but not geared for savage stuff. The logs are filled with padding but I'll try. I play DRG fine on a pad and I feel like that is harder.

Unless you are raiding at a serious hardcore level, the changes will have basically no affect on you.

These changes will possibly tip the preferred healers from being WHM/SCH to AST/SCH for endgame progression. People will still use WHM in lots of content and WHM's will still clear savage content just fine, but those hardcore groups rushing through A9S-A12S will probably be bringing an AST over a WHM. SCH is pretty locked into place with the fairy being so important.

What the devs are really big on is making sure every class is viable to an extent, they balanced classes before and they will again.

I would get into this game if every Monk didn't have the exact same build. Even Wow level differentiation would be enough.

Magic classes like healers and casters all have cast times for spells, so in the more hardcore stuff you really do need to know what's going on in order to maximize your casts. They're fun to play for sure, I'd say to at least try a healer and caster each

I'm raiding Heroic EN with some guild and nobody ever asked me how many traits I have unlocked on my artifact. This is not a problem. Simliarly when we recruit in XIV, we don't look at the current ilvl, we look at the player.

No no, it's just that at lvl 30, you're supposed to work on Conjurer until lvl 15 to become a Paladin/PLD.

if he's never played a tank at all, it's a pretty good idea for him to learn the ropes in early dungeons before telling him to wait for shield oath. if anything, reach level 26 and run thousand maws of totorak - at this point you'll have your basic threat combo (fast - savage - rage). then get another class to 50, wait until level 40 pld, and run stone vigil with shield oath.

But AST shield doesn't double when it crits right? So they balanced that around the fact SCH can still put loads of crit on their gear for the double shield while AST just have more consistent shields.

Then again I only play WHM for fun every once in a while so I don't really know.

Empyreal Arrow was literally crafted to be the only OGC weaponskill with a cast time for the sole purpose of being used with the altered barrage skill, which now performs a single weaponskill three times in succession.

Flash spam, followed by riot blade spam until most of my mp is back, then RA until mobs are dead. RoH is only necessary for single targets.

All you need is grad company gear or gear with some materia its a little hard for a new player but if you can get someone to craft a HQ sword you should be fine. Its a shame because HQ leveling tank gear is fucking expensive on some servers. If I had money I'd give all budding tank a HQ wep and gear.

You can't get banned for parsing, but you can get banned for upsetting people when you point out their damage is shit, having actual parse to back it up isn't relevant.

Not to dampen your achievement, but that fight's real easy for bards to keep their super-dots up. There's only one untargetable phase, and all the buffs are back up by the time it ends.
Trust me, I've rivaled melee dps in that fight and my bard is only at about ilvl 200.

I once got kicked out of a dungeon run that was taking 50+ minutes because DPS kept wiping to mechanics. I was on a tank and I was topping the parse. Eventually I just had enough and then they kicked me out. It's hilarious. It's not about success, it's all about not disrupting the pleasant experience of getting carried.
