This must be the best speedgame ever created in the history of gaming, no RNG involved at all, not rage introducing and only depends on the player's personnal skill and knowledge of the game.

Hotline Miami 2 was an improvement in every aspect. Going back to replay them, the difficulty curve picks right up where HM1 leaves off and doesn't stop accelerating. The gameplay is faster, the fans are all fun to use, The soundtrack is miles better (not that the first is bad in any way). And both games are just plain fun.

My only problem was pic related, hard mode.

LOL they did it because in hotline 1 they had issues getting the fat guys to die, so they just made enemies absorb bulelts, in hm1 you can kill as many people as their are pellets if they hit, in hm2 you only sometimes kill2 people and killing more than 2is a blessing. They downgraded the shotgun by a longshot. There's a reason no one bought hm2 compared to hm1 and why the reviews are lower because it's only redeeming feature is it has more story if you care about that pointless aspect

Man, if you're bringing mainstream reviews into this argument you better reevaluate your enjoyment of the game. I'm not arguing that you should enjoy it, just that I did and found it to be very solid. You keep bringing up outside sources besides yourself and your opinions, instead parroting others.

Also, this is the first time I have some be mad about them NERFING guns from HM1 to 2. Small world. Personally, I tried to stay away from guns in my playthroughs.

My biggest complain is that a lot of times I died because an enemy shot me from off screen, even when pushing Shift to extend the view. In HM1 every time I died I felt like it was my fault. MH2 I felt the game was fucking me for no adequate reasons.

The game is fun and worth playing, but I didn't really liked it.

It's one of those games, where you have to carefully do everything and repeat it ten times to beat level. I like games where you can improvise and experiment with game mechanics, in HM it was really hard to do because of speed, ammo limitations, and one HP.

I just knocked silently everyone, or baited them to run in front of my gun. Every level was done same.

Untitled is the best song in HM2.
Sexualizer, Around, Run, and Way Home are all great as well.

HM1's best track is Deep Cover but from what you actually hear in the game (no one ever just chills in Jacket's house for the full 7 minutes) it's either Silver Lights, Paris, or Musikk per Automatikk.

Fun game. Ended right when it needed to.

Could have shaved an hour from HM2 and called the quits.

Hotline 1's soundtrack is much better, HM2 tracks all blend together into the super heavy song genre like to me nearly all tracks except the deathwish one and Untitled by GreenKingdom (my favorite video game song in general) just blend in. HM1 soundtrack is much more solid and isn't just heavy electro for the sake of being heavy. Knock (assaults track is perfection) so are pretty much every hm1 track
