Achievement unlocked

>achievement unlocked
>you finished the tutorial

It's a pretty decent metrics to see how many people actually played their game.

>trophy unlocked
>you had sex

that's the whole game at that point, the rest is just epilogue

>achievement unlocked
>you died

fuck you dark souls

Bonus points for calling it "Baby Steps"

>trophy unlocked
>wizard status
>bronze

>achievement unlocked
>start the game
>only 90% have this trohpy

>achievement unlocked
>start the game
>85.6% have unlocked

>drop down dead
>achievement unlocked
>"welcome to "

>the bigger they are
>the more the merrier

>achievement unlocked
>finished the game
>5% of players have this
Are video games too long?

>finish tutorial
>50.4% have unlocked this achievement

God of War does this

>kill babies
>unlock achievement

>novice
>apprentice
>journeyman [...]

>look at achievements page
>all of the achievements are spoilers like "KILL X CHARACTER"

>only 25.7% of players have this unlocked

>super duper secret achievement that's supposed to take 6 million years
>like 90% of people have it
>developer is pissed

>kill an animal
>get an achievement

Story?

>Top achievment is only 45.7%
>Easiest achievment is 20.3%

>Achievement Unlocked
>You pressed Start

>Achievement locked
>Kickstarter backer

Is it to hard to use "Defeat x character"?
I mean, defeat not always mean kill

Triggered

edmund mcmillen, creator of TBOI, had a super duper secret character with a super obnoxious way to unlock with and an even more obnoxious way to tell you how to unlock it
>reddit collaborating to figure out what the shit means
>someone dataleaks when they're already 95% finished
>edmund gets pissed and compares it to "swallowing a 100 dollar steak in 1 bite" and saying that it should've taken months
>isaac general was nothing but the word steak and people telling each other to chew slower for the last weeks of its life

Stop memeing right now

alright, 16% is still a ton when your secret is supposed to be so scarce that it takes someone months to figure out though.

>Developer then gets so mad he makes some wacky ass fucking treasure hunt to unlock a secret character that's even less fun to play than the last
>and then you have to grind for it in game for 6 million years unless you cheat or exploit

Yeah because PC users are fucking hackers with their trainers from CheatHappens.com Fuck PC gaming and their hacking ways!!!

It is a pretty decent achievement for some games to not be so shit right out of the gate that one actually finishes the tutorial.

>one autist datamines the requirements
>posts it on reddit
>everybody does it
wow it was hard

>tutorial is one of the hardest missions in the game

>Only 85% of players have this achievement

Post another anime grill and I'm going to pin you down and have my way with you, faggot.

This is your final warning.

>online game has secret achievements
>the developer bans anyone that reveals the requirements

How would they tell?

PS4 officially lets you reveal hidden trophy info now though...

...

...

>DLC Trophies

Kingdom Hearts.

Consider yourselves fucked...

fucking Jet Set Radio, the tutorial was the hardest achievement by far

Name on the sauce?
My mobile doesn't have panda

...

>multiplayer trophies

Oh god, sauce for all that is holy!

retards

>Online is dead
>Stay in 1st place X weeks

>multiplayer trophies for games that had their servers shut down ages ago

why do they care about this?

this, it became common practice to use those to compare that achievement of "booting the game at all" to sales to see how many people bought it to play as opposed to bought it because they are confused grandmas getting literal trash for their granddaughters

>do something embarrassing
>there's a specific achievement for it

Actual nigga here, I don't think fair skinned people are allowed to say nigga...

Ghost recon?

>Look up girls skirt
>Achievement unlocked!

nigger

Good post there captain obvious.

she doesn't actually say that in the anime, those are meme subs

>cross dress male in female clothing
>achievement unlocked

>friend noticed I had that achievement
>laughed at me

who is this testicle tamer?

>waste hundreds of hours to get all achievements
>no reward

Meme subs? Oh that's fine then.

>implying

What kind of shitty friend laughs at you instead of with you? Who doesn't look up skirts of female characters?

Please sauce.

nice samefagging

The filename is of no help and Google grants nothing.

So no, I wouldn't call it retardation you cockbiter.

Fucking Jet Set Radio.

Would be strange not to have that achievement.

That's a lot of players who dicked around long enough to get to the old ladies, create a character but not dick around long enough to die trying how the game works.

Cast Aoi

I literally googled some words off of it and put 'doujin' next to it and found it, just so you know.

Cast Aoi

why the fuck would you buy a game to play it for 2 minutes

Refunds?

Dark Souls 2 came out way before refunds were guaranteed like that

What kind of shitty person cannot laugh at himself if he does something silly?

UNDERSTAND
UNDERSTAND
THE CONCEPT OF LOVE

That still goes against the intention of the developer which is why it's funny.

A female friend

Oh, I shouldn't have dropped it just because I figured I couldn't play this shit high.

>only 64% of players bothered to *start* the tutorial
>only 55% of players bothered to get to the halfway point of the tutorial
>only 75% of players who finish their first job play long enough to hit lv 10
That Whomp comic about Steamdokus pretty much sums it up.

I don't know anyone who's unlocked Greed and didn't cheat

which game?

>multiplayer is an after thought
>the majority of the achievements are multiplayer.

REALLY?

REALLY?! Like.. REALLY?

*laughtrack*

RRREAAALLY...?

Imagine you sell a game and only 70 percent of people finish the tutorial, what does that tells you?
Is your game not interesting?
Do people just buy your game to trade it for something else or sell it somewhere?
I remember only 35% of the players have the first achievement in Outlast, does that mean the first hour is boring? Maybe the game is too spoopy at the start, scarier things should appear later on.
Using achievements is a great way to measure the interest of players and how much content they really consume.

>trophy unlocked or hitting the start button on the main screen
>only 96% of players have it
That means 4% of people bought it, installed the game data, but then never went back to it after looking at the main screen.

Binding of Isaac Rebirth

>That means 4% of people bought it, installed the game data, but then never went back to it after looking at the main screen.
Is installing the game required? Maybe they just never bothered.

Who is this hentai babe?

>achievement
>Kill X Number of Enemies
>killing this many requires multiple playthroughs or grinding.

>that top achievement
is this real?

Starbreeze is a bunch of meme loving Swedish fucks who spam winky spaces all day instead of doing real work.

It gets worse as you go down.

>Daggerfall
>Imps that can only be hit with magic when the spells you have cost more than you have in spell points
>Start with a sword when you majored in blunt/axe

Fuck.

>achievement unlocked
>you didn't actually do what you had to do for it

pretty much anything can be datamined so don't spend too much effort hiding stuff, unless you are so obscure that it takes several layers of obscurity to find it, with things like references that can mean multiple things and go in several directions.

I had a pretty good plan for an actual lore friendly dungeon for skyrim that involved using the original dragon claw keys to also unlock a fairly well built dungeon using all of them in a certain way but when skyrim become somewhat of a crap game in Cred Forums's eyes i lost interest. Still have my planned layout and encounter data covering like 90 documents or so.

>they later update the achievement so other people can also get it but have to work for it

Actually that's no longer the case now, people are free to post the requirements without fear of being banned.

>Achievement unlocked: Unlocked all achievements!
>isn't the last achievement that was unlocked

>dlc achievements
>but if you don't have the dlc you can still get the achievements by doing different things instead

>get insane achievement in WoW when it was really hard
>later they cut out several rep requirements and make it easier
Are you trying to make me really Insane Blizzard?

>2016
>using the n-word

Please grow up.

>Finishing the game on a higher difficulty doesn't unlock the achievement for finishing the game on easier difficulties

Fuck all forms of this.
There's an unlockable in Project Diva F2nd that requires you to get a Great, but it doesn't unlock if you get Excellent/Perfect. Fuck that noise.

>unlock tough achievement to get
>some time later after the game updates they make obtaining the achievement easier

>the no death achievements in super meat boy
Literally why

Achievements like that are the reason I taught myself how to record and play keyboard macros.

It's one thing to beat the level eventually, it's another to never die while going through the game.

>SS achievement in Dustforce

>The player has beaten the game on survivor difficulty
>Complete the game on the hardest difficulty setting
>you only need to do the final boss fight on highest difficulty for these achievements

>achievement didn't unlock

>10000 kill for ranked match

this is Driver on ps1

who is this cute girl?

>girl
