We will never get another F-Zero game

>we will never get another F-Zero game
Good. Because no matter how much time and effort a studio could put into it it would never top this. This series ended on the best possible note it could.

GX was ok at best. Take off the glasses. Only reason you consider this the holy grail is because all the other games in the series are even worse by comparison.

thats exactly what miyamoto said. he'd rather have it end on a high note than to fuck it up. AV really did perfect the formula.

go fuck yourself

>go fuck yourself
Nice arguement.

Jokes on you i first played it last year

Not him but both your arguments were equally shallow. Neither of you explained your point.

...

agreed, even if they got sega to make another one it wouldnt be as good.

GX was way better than I remembered when I replayed it. But I replayed it after spamming Mario Kart 8 so that might of had something to do with it.

Alright everyone, post what you still haven't actually beat in GX.

1 and 7 Very Hard are forever out of my reach. Master Class'd every cup though.

You can use the F-Zero X Expansion Kit on a flashcart right?

>tfw you have a toaster that cant emulate gx

I got everything there was to get, all the AX vehicles, all custom parts and beat at least one cup on master with every character to get their ending movie. Not much after I did all that, some scumbag technician stole my memory card and had no backups. But yeah, the game is ridiculously difficult, is 7 the casino one? Because that's the one that gave me the most trouble, also the first one and the one where you race the evil dude.

track editor for gx fucking when?

If that's the cause then they should remaster it or something. If TP and WW can get remasters/hd ports/whatever then GX should because I'll buy that shit.

Hell, throw in online races and demolition derby modes and I'll buy it the day it's announced.

I don't know about this 'we' but I know that I want another F-Zero game.

I didn't like GX all that much, it disappointed me in a lot of ways but most are rather specific so they don't really matter (music, story mode, I wasn't too fond of the track design), but more importantly I just didn't like how it played. It felt far more slippery than X did and I just couldn't get the feel for it, also combat didn't seem as viable but that could just be me not feeling the gameplay overall. That said I do recognize that it's a good game, but I want to see more of the series.

For one thing I want to see a story mode that isn't completely retarded in its context.

F-Zero GX will always exist and be 'perfect', so just keep playing that even if a new one comes out.

I'd be happy with just a HD version.

I feel like modern Nintendo would really fuck up a new F-Zero. They'd get rid of a lot of advance tech to make it easier for newcomers instead of just having a good tutorial mode that explains that tech. It wouldn't have as much content as GX and they'd replace half the roster with the Koopalings.

I used to want a new Fzero more than anything in the world but now I'm content to play GX for the rest of my life. I still haven't mastered it yet so I'm not bereft of shit to do.

I tried GX last year, and it was okay. It's just another racing game, I guess. I was expecting something transcendent. I'd rather play a Kart racer.

That's weird how you added a g into the title, everybody know F-Zero X is the best title in the series

>emulating GX when you could emulate AX instead

If Nintendo could somehow pull off a game as good as X, I'd be in heaven, and for the love of god hire Taro Bando to do the music again.

What the hell has that guy been up to?

7 is the Mute City one with the Master Class AI and always super fast Blood Falcon and Black Shadow.

you didnt even scratch the surface of f-zero gx's racing physics and boost system

thats funny because i think every mario kart game other than the first two are complete garbage with floaty controlls, but all three f-zero games have coherent design philosophy ( i guess nintendo just panders to children like you )

It's not though

A HD release of GX would be fantastic

>I'd rather play a Kart racer
Then, and I mean no offense by this, fuck off.

What was his name again?

I wonder why nobody likes F-zerofags

your game was fine, it just felt like every other racer. you go fast and try not to hit walls. the boost plates and shit in the ground don't even really matter because there's just one optimal path you ought to take, there isn't any adaption on the fly.

But X and SNES F-Zero are fuckin rad.

In F-Zero X you can unlock the X Cup.

X Cup makes procedurally generated tracks that are actually pretty good. Endless new tracks for the rest of your life.

>the boost plates and shit in the ground don't even really matter because there's just one optimal path you ought to take
I don't think you've played the game that much, user. Not trying to sound like a cock here, but if this is what you think, you must be fairly new to the game.
Obviously there is one optimal path. That's how all racing games work. Unless, you introduce random shit to it, at which point it starts to get frustrating.

Because we're not abject casuals? I'm not trying to be elitists, but you're the one that came into the thread without knowing what he was talking about. F-Zero is fun because it has a high skill ceiling and challenging yourself to get to that level of mastery is fun. If that's not your bag, good for you. Like I said I mean no offense but fuck off.

They were great but I think GX was a perfect evolution of the series.

X cup was alright but the procedurally generated tracks get stale and samey fast. Just like a certain other procedurally generated game.

missions 6, 7, and 8 on Very Hard fucking destroy me. I've beaten every GP on Master and only have a few staff ghosts beaten. Was just playing a couple days ago

X Cup was a fucking riot for multiplayer. I actually spent a silly amount of hours with 3 friends, just playing retarded looking random tracks.
>Friend side attacks me as soon as race starts
>I fall behind
>Track goes full retard and folds in on itself
>Everyone falls off
>I win
That shit was great.

Hi.

Done with Master/Very Hard.
Occasionally I play with different cars now to get all the character endings.

Haven't really touched staff ghosts yet. I expect them to be insanely brutal and I don't think I'll ever really try them.

8 is the fucking shit if you get it right. That track just feels so good to go fast on. Must be those Magma particles.

test

This game was pretty legit. Definitely better than GP Legend and Maximum Velocity. Looks gorgeous and the track editor was pretty fun to mess around with.
I like the boost system in this. It was like a combination of classic and X.

roll^

Nah, get a dolphin emulator, fucking million miles per hour with TIGHT controls with 2 analogue thrusters and amazing art and music, this game is god-like

Sup?

online play
that is all

>they'd replace half the roster with the Koopalings.
To be fair, Fox, Human Fox and Wolf were already in GX.

MEGA-COCK, THE FASTEST FAGGOT IN THE WORLD

And don't you forget.

>Have to beat all the courses on Master to unlock the AX cup
Shit it's too hard

Wait, are you talking about Lion-O, James and...? Billy? Pretty sure he was a monkey.

Keep at it, user. No pain, no gain.

>beat diamond by getting first on every track and driving like a grandpa on phantom road

>tfw you got boost power

It doesn't help that Sega is nowhere near what it used to be in it's glory days.

Honestly, I thought as much too, but after the MK8 DLC, I really think Nintendo has it in them to make a good F-Zero game themselves. They just don't want to b/c F-Zero doesn't sell for shit. Which just sucks.

I NEED at least one more F-Zero game in my life. Give that bitch some beautiful HD grafix, 30 players online, constant 60 fps, and some retro courses pulled from the series history ala Mario Kart and I'm fucking golden. Of course, all with some god-tier original tracks. You wouldn't even need to make another one after that. I'd be good with just one more.

playing Mission 9 Very Hard got my blood pumping like no other. Shift boosts and a couple MTSs on those sharp as fuck turns, holy shit

I need to go back to it, I haven't played that mission since I beat it

I dunno user. They just gotta stop making Yakuza games. Most of the staff is still there iirc.

This, just give us an updated GX with online, courses/areas as X (this was the one thing X had over GX, the amount of areas there were) and in 1080p. That's all I fucking want.

The one that gives me a heart attack is always the one with the bomb on the Blue Falcon. Something about not being able to just smash the semi trucks like I would any other vehicle in my way ruined my entire stupid playstyle.
