Solaire was insane but loyal. Ostrava was brash and in over his head but realized his limitations late in the game. Both of them had sad conclusions, but I think the idea of an optimist in a shitty world like Lordran is a nice idea. Everyone is so doom and gloom and spooky laugh that seeing a genuinely cheerful soul is great.
