>we

sasuga phoenix, a katana for every orphan

Correct me if i'm wrong because its been a while but it went like this:

Kristoph created the time bomb to wipe out any evidence of his forged evidence he buys.

forged evidence that he was going to use in the case where he defends Zak to get famous/money/respect/whatever

Forged evidence that he didn't get to use because Zak won against him in Poker and wasn't impressed

Put Ya Evidence On.

Loosey Trucy's a NERVOUS WRECK!

The Gramarye magic act, which is failing by the way, is a very low-energy mess compared to my performances under Magnifi!

She should take her own act and disappear! Sad!

...

>tricks

What do

Is Reus the most popular culprit of the new game?

Make some dry remark and bully her

Drunk Ema is cute

Post yfw Dhurke gets fucking shot 3 times

>"This girl is wife material"
>She calls Dhurke dad

What did she mean by this

that he's dad material

>Did you really think a peashooter like that...
>...could kill a dragon?!

A vote for Paul Atinshon is a vote for good family values

...

>literally zero porn for the queens
>get weird shit like this instead

fuck

Fujobux are real

>No delicious Amara ass and hips
Fucking kill me

Untie her and make sure she isn't injured or starving.

So how about that detective NTR

As long as it produces more Ema porn, then I don't mind.

But it did kill him

Heres fanart of the best royal

Apollo will make Khu'rain great again and all, that's fantastic, but did Apollo and Wright ever consider who will make Kurain Village great again?
No, they didn't, they made a mistake and need to fix it now.

Go to bed Paul

I'm pretty sure he's in the middle of a debate right now

When does a man die, when they are killed?
No, it's when they are forgotten
This Dragon will NEVER die

When's Apollo gonna cuck both of them?

Who's the sixth one for?

That's her Japanese name

Rayfa? Maybe

Rayfa isn't an orphan

Edgeworth

I need more porn of these two. I can only jerk off to LJ for so long.

But Edgeworth was never in Nick's care. If he counted, then so should Sarge.

With how much Miles lusts for that japanifornian dick, he may as well be in Nick's care

Ahh, unrequited love. So bittersweet.

But it's too bad. Nick loves Charlie.

Do you think he saw the baby photo and thought it was a photo of his wife since he can't recognize faces?

...

When are we going to get a game about Maya's shithouse dad, anyways?

MY MAGIC IS THE REAL DEAL

IT REQUIRES NO TRICKS NOR GIMMICKS

Maya's dad died.

When are we going to get a game about Maya fucking Nick for six cases straight?

t. pearl

Yeah, and who killed him? Looks like a yet untapped mystery...! And as of yet unknown hidden drama within Maya

Or what about Pearl's dad who is actually still alive

>Maya finally gets brought back to be a plot device, receiving only a handful of lines for yet another Apollo game.
>Even then, after three games about him, they still haven't resolved the Apolly/Trucy relationship.

>They explore into this and Maya is accused of murder once again

>mfw some naive greenhorn tries to use tricks or gimmicks in front of me

Wasn't there like some unexplored plot with pearl's mom? I remember her swearing revenge or something.

>We're here to prove today how a toddler committed murder

Yeah but she's in jail
Honestly they could do something with her though, with how creatively they used channeling in this case. Then again now that everyone expects it, it kinda would be boring unless they explored some interesting uses of it

She had more than a handful of lines, though she did spend more of the game as the damsel she always is/plot device.

And don't worry about Apollo user. They didn't touch that so they could fill out another Apollo game. Followed by a game that revolves around how he got his bracelet and how he's actually related to the Feys.

>yet another Apollo game

SoJ is the only game you can truly say is his 2bh

Meanwhile you already have three games dedicated to muh Feys

T&T resolved that.
Unless you are referring to her swearing revenge AGAIN at the end of that or something. In which case they would do another storyline with it and she would swear revenge again, and then again and again and again.

maybe she'll team up with Kristoph and tie maya to a train tracks

Maybe. Him or Attishon. I think everyone besides rock star Jesus is well liked enough...well maybe the second culprit of case 5.

He gets his bracelet from yet another friend/family figure from the past who then dies.

Manov Mistree and Retinz appear to be the most popular on Pixiv. Atishon is easily the best liked here, but he's not very popular with actual artists, which is super sad.

>loved his adopted daughter but could never know what she really looked like

Truly the hardest.

Part of me feels that he would have let Rayfa take over and not actually have tried to rule the country himself. Probably though Ga'ran was going to endanger her.

I thought Jesus was popular? Honestly I found his gimmick incredibly annoying because of how it would slow down the text constantly.

I'm choosing to believe he didn't even know who actually burnt the house down, to make him seem even more sympathetic.

He also killed Dhurke partly to spare Rayfa of the "Sins of the Father" postulate, partly out of jealousy, and partly out of fear of Dhurke taking her away.

And while he tried being decent enough, delaying execution orders as much as he could, he ultimately did something that, should Rayfa ever find the motive, would destroy her. Your adoptive dad kills your real dad for your sake - that would shatter anyone psychologically.

Atishon is the funniest but there is something to be said about how catchy the "no tricks nor gimmicks" quote is.

He was probably working to help Ga'ran under the pretenses he'd help Rayfa.

doesn't excuse what he did, but I think everyone can safely say he loved Rayfa. Ga'ran may even have tricked Igna into believing it's his own daughter as well. It's not like he can even recognize her to know if it is or isn't.

>pillow under your belly
>HUNNY I'M PREGGOS

The Japanese thing to do is to call the parents of your spouse "mom and dad" I "think" the same happens here in the states but I'm a kissless virgin so I wouldn't know

I know.
Trucy wants to marry Apollo

Do you think Trucy ever went through the "I wanna marry my daddy when I grow up!" phase?

Some do. Only when you really like them or vice versa. I do the former with my father in law. It's definitely more a japanese thing though.

Why is this guy so retarded

Women typically go for men that have a lot in common with their fathers

Probably up until zak ran out on her.

that'll kill those pesky childhood dreams right quick.

Just beat AA6
Strong contender for best AA game ever.

Is the DLC case this Thursday?

Don't be phony, user.

Rayfa's twitchy eyebrow is a miracle of the universe.

>MFW Amara got shot

>Implying Nick doesn't deliberately keep up the pretense that Zak was a good father
>"He didn't abandon you. He left you in order to protect you."
>"He thought only of you until the day he died. (Also of trying to ruin me, but let's keep that part out.)"
>yfw Trucy realized that Zak and all the Gramarye are dicks, but pretends to put them on a pedestal so Nick wouldn't worry.

Would she object if I requested to stick it in her nincompooper?

What does *ka-tonk* means?

Does she call you Horn Head?

His plan was crap and desperately sad all at the same time.

The DC Act is the only reason it makes any sense at all but by that reason alone it's damn compelling.

she punches barbed head.

I wonder if that's the kind of language they use on Plumed Punisher or if Nayna actually taught her to say that

People keep shipping Horn Head with Rayfa, but i thought the obvious chemistry was with Barberd Head.

>Can't make plans to save his own life
>Is 42 yet looks like he's 62
>Probably shooting mostly blanks

>Still gets smoking hot wife

How does he dew it?

I want her to ka-tonk my rod with her rod.

Barbed Head only has room in his heart for Charley and the memory of Mia's Mias.

If he is he still put a bun in the oven regardless.

Why does everyone speak English?

Nayna did, most likely. She uses similar vocabulary.

That was daughteru chemistry. He was reminded of Trucy, after all.

On the other hand, Apollo was raised by her birth dad, will stay in Khu'rain for a while, gave her a huge boost of confidence and was really, really nice to her. Not to menrtion she becomes 7-year rule compliant for him in 10 years.

When someone ships Barbed Head with some girl it obviously means as a Father.

The fact that he was only just able to do it probably means that something's off.

Its all good though, since she's with Datz now.

I just don't feel it.

I thought she was hitting phoenix with her staff until they pointed it out

I was disappointed when she was only punching him

While I loved 6-5 I personally felt that 5-5 came off stronger in terms of hype and the final objection. It probably didn't help that I got spoiled for key elements in this case like Maya's kidnapping, Apollo staying in Khura'in and Dhuke's death ;_;7 which I forgot about until I got up to that point in game And while case 4 was super neat it felt out of place considering how seamless Dual Destinies felt.

The insights system was super fucking neat and I really hope it comes back for the future games but I doubt it will. Rayfa a cute and should be cutely teased and bullied. The attempt at her calling Nahyuta Onii-san was fucking 10/10

>There's a Gramarye trial again
>Trucy is co-council
>Nick, as someone with repeat dealings with the Gramarye troupe, is called as a witness
>Nick constantly spouts half-truths and roundabout phrasing to make the Gramarye seem like saints
>EVERY SINGLE LINE OF TESTIMONY sets off Polly's perceive power.

Surprised people aren't giving Datz the whole "Raising another man's kid" shit.

>Its all good though, she's with the reincarnation of Larry Butz after he died at the end of game 3.

The poor woman.

>Apollo gets shit on by women all throughout the game
>At the end he decides to stay in Khura'in
>Athena and Trucy suddenly realize they want his dick bad when they're about to lose it

WHO GETS ALL THE PUSSY NOW, BITCHES

Nick did it too and no one gives him shit about it.

Why didn't Trucy bring back this guy for the "Gramarye reunion"?

>There's a Gramarye trial again

They're just going to keep on adding old members of Troupe Gramarye that we've never heard of before, aren't they

It's a size competition between Apollo's dead family members/friends and the Gramarye troupe.

Probably arrested?
I remember he confessed at the end of AJ

What's your opinion on this man now?

How would you bully her?

Much better than in 4/5 but he's still a manlet

Apollo has always been fine. It's his supporting cast that needs work. Trucy is pretty bad as his assistant.

He and Athena were great together. It's a shame that we wont see them together for a while.

Athena pls

...

What was the old case where Phoenix dealt with prosopagnosia? I can only ever think of 999

unless that was never part of a playable case..I can't remember

>actually gets a reference in SoJ but no appearance
>Apparently Edgeworth is still controlling his salary which means he's not cheif detective or whatever

why must he suffer so much

It had not been part of a playable case.

Those lines hurt me on many levels

It will all pay off.

Someday.

Someday they'll see

All of them will see

He'll be back

in a bodybag

Nah.

That's Maggey.

MAKE KURAIN GREAT AGAIN

oh snap

'cause he's the killer

SoJ was incredible but DD was insanely bad, except for the music

Honestly don't get how anyone liked 5-5, the tension with Apollo was the only good thing and it gets resolved and then never mentioned again, plus the villain was way too goofy for a final case villain.

And don't even get me started on the Objection at the end, the whole "open up your heart and reveal your feelings!" bullshit was bad enough but the triple point made me want to kill myself. Apollo doing a super-dramatic wind-blowing point like in the anime was way better

Sarge

I hope they put horiyama in charge of the next aa soundtrack

basics of the case and mr. reus theme prove he's still godlike

Who made the new pursuit theme? It's not bad, but could have been a whole lot better

>Basics of the case.

Glad I'm not the only one who appreciates this track. Everyone has such a major hard-on for all the big, bombastic tunes they ignore subtle ones like this.

Tickles

Both DD and SoJ have some great music in them. I always go into a new game somewhat disappointed that I'm not hearing the same music from the last game, but I always end up loving the new OST.

Some tracks were better in DD though. Athena's old theme is much better imo.

Also, the Plumed Punisher theme is the best new track on the SoJ OST.

Being an off key version of the Steel Samurai theme makes the Plumed Punisher theme really annoying to me.

That one theme related to cutsey magic stuff grew on me, though I'm not sure what its name was.

Alpha as fuck.

You people sure as hell wouldn't do a fraction of what he did.

He needs more affection from Trucy and Athena.

iwadare

personally, I don't think any pursuit theme has matched the original and I think speed is a major factor as to why

cornered really feels like "you've turned the entire case around and you're about to take it"

aj probably has my favorite courtroom themes in the series

its defendant lobby, court begins and cross-examination are all fantastic

They just need to drop 'Phoenix Wright' from the title and just have Ace Attorney: Subtitle

It saves money and it allows room for the other protagonists.

>sengoku Barasa costumes
That is fucking sick!
we're probally not

Real people can't do what apollo did because your dead dad to start a conversation with you.

Athena and Trucy treat Apollo like shit until he decides to stay, then they beg for his cock.

I don't blame him for leaving those bitcches.

phoenix wright is what sells the games though

Didn't AJ sell more than the original trilogy?

Or was that just in Japan?

>paid DLC costumes for a visual novel

I wish this played more, it's so much better then the Plumed Punisher Steel Samurai rip-off theme.

They already did the deal.

Damn, that's a really nice touch.

Bonus: Siege defense means no one will be kidnapped to blackmail Wright anymore.

youtube.com/watch?v=tw09_QS-J7M

A lot better then I thought of him at the end of AA4.

He's cool, but not anywhere near my favorites.

>culprit tries to assault the group to take back evidence
>they have a weapon so Athena can't drop kick him
>Sargent Armie sends in her helicopter who bombards the shit out of the culprit, forcing them to flee
>Phoenix later uses the culprit's injury from the helicopter attack to prove their guilt

I want this.

REEE
GO BACK TO RUSSIA COMMIES

Is Ace Attorney Anime fun?

No.

I remember watching this anime...
It sucked

Playing JFA and wow all the hatred Phoenix has for Edgeworth and accusing him of quitting because he had no perfect win record really doesn't fit in with what 1-5 said his reason for leaving was

They should have done a better job of making 1-5 tie in with JFA. Phoenix has no reason to hate Edgeworth after 1-5, the 1-5 retcon makes Phoenix look like a random asshole

its alright.
The good cases in the game are not nearly as good in the anime, but the bad cases are much enjoyable in the anime.

You say that as if the anime came out years ago

How does one convey this expression

The samurai anime did..
The anime the costumes made after

>basara

never ever

you're supposed to play them not watch them

alright fags speak up

How many of you were autistic enough to do the claw-close fist-chestbump thing after or while playing the game

I know i was, A dragon never yields.

The only time I did it was when [spoilers] Nahyuta did it when removing his fingerless gloves. [/spoiler]

Then I stopped halfway through realzing it was dumb as fuck because Nahyuta totally yieldes like a birch to Garan

I'm not cool enough for that one but I like doing the meditative double too-sweets that Nahyuta and Amara do

He's ok. However, I won't miss him if he'll never appear in the series again. I don't really understand how a character with such a boring personality can be so overrated and popular.

>Some Horn Headed lawyer manlet visits your country
>Acts all nice to you
>Has faith in your abilities as a spirit medium that risks his life on it even though you fucked up the first time
Rayfa = pic related

He's fine

t. Nahyuta

Why does Apollo get all the girls?

>Those hips

>Juniper
>all the girls

I hope you Cred Forumsirgins actually bought this game and supported it.

Yeah yeah, digital copy, but they're not going back.

I did

of course I did,
I bought everything except the 3ds themes

I just want them to stop reusing the T&T Objection theme, they need to remake JFA's Obection theme or make a new one

Of course, just like I did with DD and its DLC case. I will never not be mad about no physical release though.

Yeah. It bothers me how they had a different Objection theme for each game, and now they just rehash the same ones. Is it because the composer's too lazy to make a different Objection theme for each lawyer for each game?

>they need to remake JFA's Obection theme
they really don't

I guess it's because they want Apollo and Athena to have their own unique "theme music". "I'm Fine!" and "Let's Do This!" are basically the same songs.

It's strange how Nick doesn't really have his own "out of court" theme, though.

apparently, someone at Capcom really loves Objection 2004, and suggested to Iwadare that it becomes his main Objection theme for DD and SOJ

it looks like Objection 2004 is his main theme for the mainline games, while Objection 2001 plus Cornered are his main themes for when he appears in crossovers (UMVC3, PXZ2, PLvsPW)

Eh. To be honest, it's not really as memorable as "A New Trial is in Session!" and "Courtroom Revolutionnaire".

I kinda wish they'd give Nick a new theme. Maybe a slower version of Cornered 2001, since that's basically Nick's most iconic theme and far more memorable than Objection 2004.

Apollo's theme is baller, can't be mad that they remixing it from game to game.

If Phoenix was crooked and corrupt, would he be unstoppable

No. Edgeworth would take him down then.

Nick is only strong as long as he remains straight and true. He took a detour in AA4, but he wasn't an attorney then, plus he had seven years of prep time.

Justice For All has the best cornered theme

During 2-4 he successfully put the blame on Adrian multiple times, and kept delaying the case

Well, that's true. But technically, while he did bend the rules, it's not like he stooped to forging evidence and shit. And even if he won one case like that, he'd never win them all. Edgeworth would stop him sooner or later.

Yeah, just like Manfred

Oh wait

Phoenix is better than Manfred. Manfred is terrible at bluffing and improvising. Phoenix and Mia are excellent at it

If Phoenix was intent on always winning no matter what, he'd be a dangerous defense attorney

What happened to Apollo's love interest from DD?

>Manfred is terrible at bluffing and improvising
That's because he was smart and prepared his "perfect trials" ahead of time. Constantly relying on bluffing isn't smart, and even when you find a hole in one of his "perfect trials he's still a competent prosecutor. He managed to still have an innocent man spend years of jail time even when he had a penalty.

>Rayfa will never bully you
why actually even live?

>Mr. Reus
>"Mysterious"

literally only just got that tonight

She's chilling in the void with Iris.

Bluffs and manipulation are pretty necessary tools for Nick. Don't forget that defense attorneys have it far harder than prosecutors. Unlikes attorneys, prosecutors have the full cooperation of the police, have first dibs at all the evidence and witnesses and basically have full control over pretty much everything related to the case. Defense attorneys are far more limited in what they can do, and they tend to only learn the bulk of the details of the investigation during the course of the trial itself.

Frankly speaking, if it weren't for Nick's bluffs and manipulation tactics, he'd just be another attorney. He doesn't have a specialized ability like Apollo or Athena do. His Magatama isn't really as useful inside the court, since it almost never seems to activate during trials.

Juniper's crush on him was adorable.

She wasn't really his love interest so much as she just had a thing for him. Besides, Apollo has enough potential love interests.

No he doesn't.

Let's be real, here. Trucy's his sister and Capcom would never deliberately push that. The whole incest thing is purely a fandom thing, it doesn't exist in the actual games. Rayfa never expresses that kind of interest in him either. At most, there might be a thing with Athena, but really, Juniper's all he has right now.

Still, that's more than what Nick has, at any rate. We make jokes, but the only character who's ever expressed romantic interest for him was Iris, and she was a one-off character. And a nun.

>That barely visible midriff through her clothes
>That tight as fuck body
>Those child-birthing hips
>Dhurke tapped that at least twice
Dhurke was a lucky bastard

Juniper is also likely a one-off character, just like Iris.

wait for wright to finish before re-entering

That's true.

But at least she hasn't taken a vow of celibacy. So she has more going for her than Iris.

I love her camo-print jammies.

When you put it that way, it seems really difficult for any defense attorney to be corrupt and unstoppable. It's pretty much them against the world. Manfred spent over 40 years forging evidence and only got ONE penalty. Phoenix presents evidence and got disbarred on the spot. Bluffing skills or not, Phoenix wouldn't really last long.

>At most, there might be a thing with Athena
His relationship with Athena lacks the tension you would expect from a potential romantic interest. Also, she ships him with Juniper.

Hopefully Rayfa grows up to have a body like her mother and aunt.

Also Athena is better with Simon.

Like I said, "at most".

Ace Attorney doesn't really have much romance. Though I WOULD like to see someone actually have a thing for Nick. Someone who's not a nun. I feel he deserves that much.

>I sexually identify as an attack helicopter

>that spoiler
nah man, that will never happen.
he's more of a father figure than a love interest

She's been doubling her milk intake. She'll be fine

RIGHT?

>Weebquill as partner in 6-4

This needs to happen more often

her body is perfect as it is

>I-I-It's just because of the Soba...I-It's not like I want to help you or anything baka!

Oh come on, man. Do you seriously think a prosecutor as good as Blackquill has the time to be going around acting as a defense attorney's co-council all the time? He's not even Wright's employee.

I mean, yeah, his involvement in that case was cool, but a prosecutor of his skill has no place being a junior defense attorney's sidekick.

>Onii-sama
hnnnghhh

Yeah, someone like... Maya ? I really though that we'd have some progression with their relationship in SoJ.

wtf i love soba now
youtube.com/watch?v=_xV-vEiCXXg

>Phoenix presents evidence and got disbarred on the spot
That was just because Kristoph outed him to Klavier, since it was a trap set by the former. However when Phoenix himself forged the card evidence nobody noticed it and he got away scot-free.

>Also Athena is better with Simon.
That's because they have a more "intense" relationship. They both pretty much dedicated their lifes to each other and it's pretty obvious that Blackquill cares about Athena more than anyone else. Not saying that it will ever happen, but it certainly makes way more sense than her and Apollo.

Feels like they've always seen each other more as siblings. There was never any romantic tension in the slightest in past games. Like, none. I can't even remember a single time that they acknowledged each other as the opposite gender.

Phoenix/Maya just isn't happening. That much has been made pretty clear by this point. I guess Nick was hoping she'd fill out like Mia but gave up when it was apparent she wasn't going to.

Eh. I don't feel any romantic tension between them either. Plus there's a pretty huge age difference between them.

Blackquill knew Athena since she was a little kid, and he was already an adult by then. I doubt he sees her as anything more than a little girl.

NEVER EVER

It's what happens when something adorable is trying to beat you up and failing.

Worst it'll do is give you a cuteness-based heart attack.

...

Phoenix's taste in women has... matured a bit.

...

I like how slightly wild and fierce Nick looks these days. He looks like he could intimidate even grown men with just a glare.

That wasn't really the point I was trying to make. The point is that one screw up is all it takes for Phoenix. Prosecutors who done the same thing for years and would only get a slap on the wrist. Trying to be a corrupt defense attorney just isn't really worth it and would be extremely difficult even for Phoenix

Her tiny fists of fury hitting her tsrget

>there's a pretty huge age difference between them
And when was this ever a problem in the AA universe?
>I doubt he sees her as anything more than a little girl
The point is that she wants him to stop treating her like a little girl more than anything else, and to admit that she's a full fledged lawyer and not just a greenhorn. It's pretty much what she says in the credits scene, too.

I think that was probably because the chief prosecutor was the root of the problem. When Edgeworth finally took charge, he gave the boot to all those corrupt prosecutors.

man those parts where you see the * ka-tonk*
really made me smile.

just imagining it gave me diabetes

There's still zero romantic tension between them.

And yet it's still more than her and Apollo.

...

Does Franziska admire Phoenix? Why else would she keep Maya's drawing of Phoenix for herself?

I just realized she's grabbing Nahyuta's braid

0.0001 may be more than 0, but it's not really enough to make a big deal out of.

I'm not really much of a shipper myself, either, so I'm not interested in making mountains out of anthills.

They only thing Maya is good for is mooching off of Phoenix

Why do they need cups for the burgers they ate?

I got the feeling in T&T that she has some kind of a respect for him. That moment when she told off Godot for his nasty attitude towards Phoenix was pretty cool, even if it was ineffective.

Makes me wonder how she's changed over the time gap.

Well you have to remember that she does have a card with a doodle of Nick that Maya drew on it somewhere in her possession.

>Phoenix responds with "You mean ladder"

It's not that bad to be honest

And she never returned it
Which makes me think, where the hell was she, Edgeworth, Gumshoe, Maya, Pearl, and the rest of Phoenix's family of friends when he got setup by Gavin?

Edgeworth and Franziska should have been in court proving Phoenix was framed, or at least calling in favors

I don't get how people see Phoenix and Maya as anything more than platonic. She's clearly a little sister to him, and he's clearly a big brother. They're a family through Mia pretty much

They had their hands tied. Franziska's working on international affairs with Interpol, and Edgeworth was busy enough as it was with the whole "Dark Age of Law" business. The fact that out of all the lawyers who voted on Nick's disbarment, the only one who voted "no" was Kristoph speaks a lot about Nick's popularity among defense attorneys. It's really no wonder that he has no defense attorney friends aside from the ones who outright work for him. The only other lawyers he's on good terms with are prosecutors.

Also, they were working on it. It was probably thanks to Edgeworth that Nick was able to become chairman of the Jurist System thing. Seven years. They planned this shit out for seven years. And that was only phase 1. Phase 2 was finding the Phantom and getting Blackquill declared innocent. So you can't say Edgeworth didn't do anything. They were working on this shit for a long, long time.

Edgeworth mentions in DD that he was powerless to do anything about it at the time. As far as I know, he's the only one who reflects on their inability to do anything about it.

Maybe that's a part of the reason he became Chief Prosecutor....

Hmm I need to replay DD, I either forgot or
missed all of these. Makes me feel better knowing his crew helped him destroy Gavin

All the other attorneys are shit, Ga'ran was right

What would Gavin have done if lawyers voted no and Phoenix kept his badge?

Let's be real, Phoenix himself would have disbarred someone for presenting fake evidence had he had the chance. Nothing to do with being unpopular.

>Phoenix is willing to risk execution and betray his own ideals (nearly getting Engarde acquitted, representing Atishon) for Maya
>seemingly no interest in anyone but eachother (apart from Iris bringing up his memories of Dahlia)
>It's totally platonic guys
I'm still just going to hope that they admit they love each other BEFORE Pearl or Trucy lose their virginity.

I can imagine a lot of them resented Phoenix for making them look bad, especially the ones who turned down the clients that Phoenix saved. No wonder it was an almost unanimous vote by the Bar to take his badge.

memes

Hard to say. At the very least, Nick's reputation would be tarnished forever. If anything, getting disbarred worked out better for him, since it eventually allowed him to restore his reputation.

I doubt it. Nick is the type to give everyone a chance. ESPECIALLY if that someone has literally no other allies. I mean, that's his entire policy.

Well, to be fair, Nick doesn't seem very hung up about it. But it's not like he's one to hold grudges. He adopted the daughter of the man who helped ruin him, and he also took in the apprentice of the primary perpetrator of that incident.

I do kind of wonder how Trucy feels about that whole shebang. Surely she must realize that her and her family have caused Nick a great deal of problems. She's even the one who gave Nick the forged evidence. Obviously, Nick would never blame Trucy for any of it, but I wonder if it ever kept her up at night at times. And Zak even came back in an attempt to ruin Nick one more time. It's hard to imagine that she doesn't feel at least a tinge of disappointment in her biological father.

It's a shame we'll probably never get to see Trucy's thoughts on the matter.

Present Phoenix's badge to Edgeworth while you're investigating.

Bizarrely, for all the "Zak is an asshole" shit, the games never really treat him as such at all. Hell, his fucking portrait still hangs in the WAA in SoJ.

To be fair, he risked execution when he helped the kid in the first case as well, and he also bent his own ideals when he went after Kristoph in AA4.

Thing is, Nick's just kind of a stand-up guy. You don't really need to be Maya in order for him to risk execution for you.

Well for all the shit he did, she's still Trucy's biological dad. Nick would never want Trucy to hate him. And like I said, Nick doesn't really seem to hold grudges. Besides, if it weren't for Zak, Trucy and Nick never would have met. It's a bit macabre to be thankful to the dad for abandoning her daughter, and I doubt Nick sees it that way, and really, if Nick never met Trucy he never would have presented that forged evidence. But, well, silver linings.

In the end, despite everything Nick's been through, I doubt he regrets any of it. If he did, then he'd also have to regret adopting Trucy or meeting Apollo as well, and that's something I can't see him doing.

I wonder what Lana is up to. Is she a detective again? Did Edgeworth give her a job as a prosecutor now that he's Chief? Is she still in jail? Even though her crime isn't even as bad as Adrian's

>Is she a detective again?

would be cute to mention that she was the one who got Ema into the forensic investigating job in SoJ

he probably uses it as a dart board when Trucy isn't around.

"Are you sure this is okay boss?"
"Yeah, no problem. Just make sure we get all the darts before Trucy gets home."
"Alright... why do you keep aiming for the forehead?"

I think maybe she's retired.

I'd like to think she got married or something, but she didn't seem the type to be very interested in love. Then again, no one seems to be that type in this series. She might just be living with Ema.

I wonder what all the RFTA characters are up to. That was a great cast with a great villain. Only one we constantly see from it is Ema

Lana would be around 40 now.

And knowing how characters age in this series, she's probably still smoking hot.

We saw Meekins

I don't think he was the one anyone wanted to see, though

I like the idea of Lana working in Interpol, ironically due to the work she was doing while being blackmailed by Gant.

I thought it'd be cute if Ema was inspired to try again to get into forensics after seeing Phoenix get his badge back, hence why she wasn't around in Dual Destinies.

It could be.

It was cute how mad she was at Polly for opposing Nick in that civil trial, and how depressed she was about testifying against Trucy.

This was a badass pic

She turned into her 16 year old attitude during the investigation phase in 6-3. Was kinda cute

1-5 had some fucking cool imagery

Kinda wonder how she acted around Nick back when she was a detective? She was always in a sour mood around Polly, but she might have put on a different face in front of her savior.

Plus, she did give him that pin with the built-in camera.

What does the bottom even say?
"What? That is interesting"?

fuck off with incest garbage you fucking inbreds

Her mood did seem to improve when she learned that Apollo was an acquaintance of Nick's.

It's possible that from Nick's perspective, Ema never really changed since he first met her back when she was 16.

the last turnabout is awesome as fuck but felt too easy

I did. Even bought the overpriced mini-cases.

Why is Trucy so flat.

Apollo's cases in general are too easy. Even when he went against Ga'ran, the fact that she apparently wielded absolute power felt hampered by her comparative lack of competence.

Because no one ages properly in this series. It might be a side effect of living with Nick.

>crappy trial and error perceiving mechanic

Things like this kinda make me glad Apollo's staying in Khurain.

>Took him more than 11 years to finally to afford a tailored suit
For a legendary lawyer in his prime, he sure was poor as fuck.

The whole game was easy now that there's no penalty for losing

At least on the old games, if you didn't save often you had a game over chance if they sprung a "provide evidence now" spot on you at low health

>shes touching her tits!
>must be hiding a scar

AA characters are mostly like asians, in that they stay attractive until they hit the 50-60 age range, at which point they transform into raisins overnight.

>trial and error
how? this shit is super easy, all you do is search for slightly moving parts on the character.

Why is he so poor? Did Mia have no money or something?

Reminder that he had to sleep on the floor amongst smelly hobos when he visited Khur'ain, just to cut the costs.

Well most legendary lawyers don't take as many pro bono cases as he did.

...

these are shit

Worthy successor to Ron DeLite?

Her final design isn't ruski enough.

Why does he wear boxer shorts and no pants?

>tfw no russian NEET daughter

that's not a burger

In AA1, out of five cases, one was defending Larry and one was defending himself.
In AA2, one was defending Maya.
In AA3, he only had three cases, and again, one was defending Maya. Again.
In AA5, the last trial wasn't even a proper one and he was defending his own employee.
In AA6, he defended a penniless little kid and, again, Maya.

case 4 was a mistake. In fact athena was a mistake

Athena just got the short straw in the new game. DD5 was good.

Also, in he lost the last case and I doubt Edgarde was planning to pay him either way.

>that one where she's wearing her mother's jacket and hat

Fuck I feel bad for her.

>her mom jumped out of a window holding her during a fire and took the blunt of the fall

And her mom was a total badass.

nah she was the worst part of the DD5

You don't need to win a case to receive your payment. I think a rich guy like Engarde paid up.

Engarde was a jackass, though.

When the west care about Basara.
never

I think the most he got payed was from powers

A normal lawyer would decline a job he knew wouldn't pay.

Nick would take peanuts if he believed in your innocence.

I'm imagining Engarde getting a bill from Phoenix in prison for his services

The prison medics had a hell of a time restitching his face back up.

Maybe when Basara starts trying to appeal to waifufags a bit instead of just the otome and fujo crowds.

I hope you aren't implying there's something wrong with that

How much did Phoenix get paid by the orca?

...

Aww yeah.

fuck uendo, post kisegawa

He got free admission to the Shipshape Aquarium for life.

To be fair, that's a pretty awesome payment.

fuck uendo, fuck kisegawa, fuck patches, fuck owen

>you will never be a qt fit grill orca trainer
I definitely plan on being one in the next life though.

He's poor because he only started making money once Trucy start card-sharking for him.

Trucy is the literal breadwinner of the Wright Anything Agency, and it's kinda scary imagining how Phoenix managed to keep the lights on before she came along.

I can't believe honestly that people won't stay in queues for service of legendary Phoenix Wright. WAA definitely taking on more cases, we just see the hardest and most impactful of them in games.

They take on regular cases between mysterious homicides too.

Does the jp version use those narrow dialog boxes?

It's an asian thing actually. Not just Japanese.

I think that him being perpetually poor is just a running joke. Other successful lawyers like Grossberg and Gavin were swimming in money.

6-5 takes place in May, and 6-DLC takes place in September. They mention early on 6-DLC they haven't been getting clients lately.

That's a four-month drought, dayum.

I'm guessing Guilty clients know better than to hire Nick and his crew after Engarde.

Why not? I pleaded not guilty in Engarde's case. :^)

Which makes absolutely no sense since Phoenix is a legend

Yeah, but circumstances matter.

Nick would BTFO the Guilty client the moment they no longer have leverage over him. Plus he can't lawyer at full power either, as seen in the first half of 6-5.

It makes no sense, but at this point it's just a running gag in a series that can be pretty nonsensical at times.

Yeah, it's always been like that.

Speaking of defending guilty clients and shit.
Why aren't prosecutors who try to shift blame from real criminals onto innocent people aren't susceptible to DCA in the United States of Khurain?

He had his attorney badge revoked. You kinda gain a stigma from being one of the most prolific cases of in-universe perjury even if it was ultimately overturned 7 years later. 7 years is a long time my man.

We never see the Act itself, do we?

Considering it's the DEFENSE Culpability Act, I'm guessing it must specify aiding defendants and defendants alone.

It's in Dhurke's lawbook. It says something along the lines "anyone who defends a criminal in court will suffer the same fate", it doesn't say "defense attorneys". Although it is called explicitly defense culpability act, yes.

>They mention early on 6-DLC they haven't been getting clients lately
How so? In the credits Athena says that, since Apollo is gone, she has been pullying double duty. I don't think that she was just talking about toilet cleaning.

Nick would defend a guilty client if he admits his guilt, he would most likely try to lighten up the penalty, see ih he was sane and legal shit like that, the only two times he had to defend guilty clients, they blackmailed him
Because in Khur'ain you're gulty until proven false, but since those weren't the guilty party's trials, only the defendants were considered criminals

I'm pretty sure Khura'in is continuing the parody of Japanese law, where prosecutors generally hold all the power and sway, while defense attorneys are hated due to the believe they seek to prove the entire law enforcement process got the wrong suspect, thus incompetent.

I always figured that was just the Cliff's Notes version. I'd expect a law to say something like "Article XX" and use more...lawyernese language.

6-DLC has Athena busy with something else.

Being Trucy's new assistant is a living nightmare to poor Thena.

Checked.

>Why aren't prosecutors who try to shift blame from real criminals onto innocent people aren't susceptible to DCA in the United States of Khurain?

Apollo even mentions you could indict anyone under that act in 6-5, when the Queen abuses it. They can indict the prosecutor, they just choose not to

>we didn't get the busty Maya

...

...

Doesn't fit her

...

Will we ever see the return of a 3 day case? Think the last one was 3-5.

>after all those years
>Maya looks pretty much the same
>has same annoying shit personality
So much wasted potential.

Anyone got a download link to the artbook?

Yeah, that robe doesn't look like it fits her too well.

Is it pronounced "grammar-ray" or am I retarded?

The only three-day cases in the entire series were 1-3, 1-4 and 1-5. 3-5 was two days.

You can't prove that prosecutor was trying to shift blame from criminal

I CAN PROVE ANYTHING

Was I the only person who found Maya to have gotten really, really hot?

Her flashes of maturity were nice, too. Like, I'd always expect Maya to be the spunky, spirited girl - and she still is, but it goes hand in hand with her life experience.

>>Maya looks pretty much the same

Why would she really look much different though? She was already 19 and pretty much fully grown in the old games

I did too. There's something about her now that was missing back in the first three games.

>Looks the same
>has the same annoying personality

Stop posting any time.

>19
>fully grown
You must be still a kid yourself.
Just take a look at this concept art. What could have been...

People don't really look much different from 19 to her current age, more mature a bit, but she did look a bit more mature so she looks exactly like I'd expect

>acts like a womanchild 99% of the time
>has occasional moments of lucidity where she suddenly remembers that she's 28, says something mature and then she regresses back to her immature self
I get what they were trying to do but it was handled so poorly I found it really irritating.

It's because she actually fucking looks like her concept art rather than a cancer patient with a bad wig.

Best voiced objection?

Pre-DD Edgeworth.

Agreed. It's an epic one. I liked his and Ga'ran's the most

How could Maya of all people possibly bully anyone for being flat?

So how come we haven't already invented memory wiping machines yet? This is bullshit, where's someone to science that shit?

original Phoenix

i miss you hobo phoenix. You emoted so well.

debeste

or

You don't need memory wiping machines when you have cases with the defendant, witnesses and the real killer regularly faint during the murder.

I'm talking about in real life

Von Karma of course.

do I watch walkthroughs of DD and SoJ from youtube or do I wait for proper emulators

Just get a sub-11.0 3DS and hack it.

Watch Zslyzer's if you're that much of a poorfag. There's 80 fucking videos for SoJ.

You get a job and buy the games

>watching walkthroughs

only genuine retards do this

it's not really the money, I have no other use for 3ds so why should I get one

So you can play it.
You have the choice of that or wait 3 years and get spoiled in the meantime.

You can buy a 3ds for fucking $60. How can you not afford that?

I must say, the fan translation team did a good job with the voices. I can't think of any that didn't fit the characters

To support the games, and enjoy them.

I didn't really like Greg and Knightley, but other than that they were really good

buy a 3DS and support the series faggot

I did buy both digital and DLC!!!

Not Basara's fault if Fujoshi are more into the historical figures than moefags

>lose best friend
>lose bio father
>"lose" mother
>orphan life
>psycho menthor
>lose fucking Durkhe

What the shit. Being Apollo is fucking suffering.

>implying fujos actually give a fuck about historical figures and don't just want to watch sweaty hot guys in a costume screaming at each other

Plenty of moefags are into historical figures since a lot of moe characters are rooted or based on actual historic commanders. Basara never will though since it doesn't gender bend them.

AA still needs to find a way to get on the MINDACC meme train, it's the only one left.

Such insolence!

People complain about him being a grouchy stick-in-the-mud, but it makes sense for him to be cynical when his life has been a trainwreck.

Hopefully someone decides to heal him. Preferrably sexually.

She may have an evil bitch-face and tentacle hair, but that body is still pretty bangin'.

Juniper is a law student though.
She'd make for an excellent sidekick.

I thought Reus was pretty weak honestly. I don't see why he's so popular. Dropping his fake character and his breakdown were both quite underwhelming. His normal persona was more out of control than his real one for one thing.

For another thing his reason for hating the Gramarye group so much was incredibly unsatisfying. He simply got laid off because he made a dumb mistake. It's not like Gramaryes killed his parents or otherwise ruined his life. He could have still done magic on his own considering how skilled he was or maybe become a leader of another troupe.

The whole idea of "I got kicked out of this job once a long time ago and then even became a big shot TV star yet now I hate the granddaughter of my old boss enough to kill someone and frame her!!" is too stupid even for AA.

His inner monologue still needs work though. Nick is distinct in that he's really blunt and judgmental in his head while Apollo's still a bit bland.

The pose she makes where she leans forward with the sly grin makes me hard

Technically it's very possible for the Chief Prosecutor of All of Japanifornia to have a connection to the Chief of Police's salary. After all, the state works with the police to prosecute criminals. Even if it doesn't exist in actual US law you could just write it off as fantasy. And besides that Edgeworth probably has shitloads of connections at this point.

The art in the AA series has gotten better with time. FACT. Nuri and Fuse draw much cuter girls than Iwamoto ever did.

Apollo "everyone who's known me for longer than a few years is dead" Justice.

No doubt about it. I'm happy that the series hit up on great character designers even after abandoning the original one. Fuse is particularly notable since he was just an intern at Capcom.

All Apollo does is remark how absurd the situation or what the witness said is. Well, thanks Apollo, I totally didn't notice that you're surrounded by weirdos.

>according to Khura'inism, the lowest level of hell is the Hell of Tickling
So I take it that was a localization thing, right? Although there is something amusing about the idea of that being Ga'ran's fate.

No, they later mentioned Super-Hell but I forgot what the punishment was.

As much as a I like AA, it's a shame Fuse isn't working on a JRPG. The Rayfa concepts were fucking perfect for a Breath of Fire-style game.

But Aura wanted to hire him as her defense, as seen during the credits of DD. Aura, who literally held up at least 50 hostages at gunpoint and forced a trial of a 10 year old case as her one demand, the whole time communicating with the court via robot. That is an open and shut case.

I think Nahyuta descibed it in Khura'inese words and the judge stopped him because it sounded too horrifying.

So if Dhurke was channeled does it mean he had to deal with wrong genitals when he had to go to the bathroom or those are part of the channeling aswell?

Guess she'll apologize to Apollo the next time she sees him, the bitch.

>it is explained that channeled spirits' knowledge is only of events right up until they died and after they were channeled, nothing in between

has anyone gone back to the first games to see if this contradicts the times Mia helps you?

Considering that she was basically raised in Europe, I suppose that they get into these sort of arguments all the time.

That's like complaining that people living in Japan speak fluent English in an anime dub. It's just the language presented to players.

>They literally have a katana vs samurai sword argument one day

>anime vs cartoons

I can only guess that it's more their knowledge is only of what they experience, even when they are channeled. So if a spirit is channeled, dismissed, then channeled again later they retain the knowledge from when they were last channeled. Or at least that's the only thing that makes sense without contradicting that so much.

Athena and Blackquill will take up the mantle of pointless naming arguments.
Then in Ace Attorney 10 she'll call a stepladder a ladder and Blackquill will go nuclear.

What will happen to the fantranslation if Capcom suddenly decides to localize DGS?

Mia is a little iffy because it seems like Maya is able to somewhat communicate with her even when she doesn't manage to outright channel her. Plus Mia had spiritual power herself so it's possible she can see some stuff even from beyond.

>It's called a "hashigo" Athena I can't even.

It will die just like what happened with danganronpa 2.

Isn't the lack of memories in between proves that Hell that Nahyuta describes does not exist in Ace Attorney universe?

But user, that is clearly a ladder.

Probably, but then I wouldn't be surprised if Nahyuta was bullshitting, same as with telling them they'll be reincarnated into inanimate objects.

Hell and the Twilight Realm seem to be two different places, the Twilight Realm is something like purgatory/the afterlife before reincarnation (if Khura'inism believes in that) for regular souls, while Hell seems to be the place where souls of people who were evil in life and didn't repent go. Nahyuta always threatens the lawyers with Hell, while the souls of the victims and even those of the defendants would be in/go to the Twilight Realm (as he always offers defendants the chance to repent and accept the mercy of the Holy Mother before being found guilty).

I wish we got more Mia cases. Playing as her in T&T, she's like a more badass Phoenix who never shows weakness. Even when she's bluffing she looks like she has everything planned

...

That's exactly why we shouldn't haven't gotten any more than we did. It's bad enough she's a deus ex machina in the first three games. We don't need a perfect player character that always curbstomps everyone.

She didn't curbstomp everyone though. She got outsmarted in her first case by Dhalia and won her second case because she was prepped for a Dhalia case

She's not OP, she just always makes her opponent think she is. She bluffs as much as Phoenix

Funny, that's what I feel about JFA's. It doesn't fit AA much, especially the court themes.

...

T&T is supposed to feel that way. It's the finale and it's the first AA to have a huge overarching story with a singular villain.

JFA has my favorite pursuit theme though. It's awesome when Phoenix and Franziska are just throwing Objections back and forth
