TRANSLATION PROGRESS 81.4%

>TRANSLATION PROGRESS 81.4%
It's great that people do this but what kind of person spends 4+ years of their life translating a game knowing you'll get nothing in return.

God bless them, waiting on a Moon: Remix RPG translation that's been in the "FINISHED SOON" stages for years

Weebs

I imagine that people do it for fun of it. Depending on the project, you can have multiple people coming and going into a project to help translate.

Passion, something you might never heard of it.

Shockingly, some people do things out of passion or as a hobby.

I really, really like that boxart.

OP here and I'm a musician and songwriter, I'm very passionate about that, but that's expression in a way and I also get to be recognized for what I make. The people who play their translation won't give a shit who translated it and won't really get much but S&D's.

What is this and why should I care?

I dunno, Mato got a pretty big following after working on Mother 3, he writes books now or something

So you do things because you want people to appreciate you? I mean, fair enough but there are some unsung heroes out there who enjoy doing things so things get done.

Dating Sim where all the girls are great. Even the shitty ones.
Problem is you can't get the chink or Rihoko's senpais. Or Risa in this version iirc. Or your teacher.

Ive been machine translating a porn game on and off for 10 years now.

>The people who play their translation won't give a shit who translated it

Just because you're an ungrateful twat, doesn't mean everyone else is.

>but that's expression in a way and I also get to be recognized for what I make
> I'm very passionate about that
Are you though? Because that sounds like more the normal crave for attention, recognition and to express yourself, do you really have a passion for music? Music for the sake of music?

But if that doesnt make sense to you you could also call it goodwill, something rare on most people.

What's so alien about not caring about recognition? I mean, I personally wouldn't do jack shit unless someone's paying me for whatever I'm doing but even I can understand why some people just do things for the sole sake of bringing it to an audience without plastering their ego and identity all over it.

>tfw i've been waiting for a translation since the game was announced
>tfw i could've learned japanese in that time and imported the game and played it

Nothing you do in your life will matter when you're dead

...

>and won't really get much but S&D's.
If you meant "C&D's", then those only stop fan projects because people are retarded attention whores and don't do that shit under an alias.

Since it's usually linked to something personal of theirs (be it email, twitter, or whatever), they have no choice but to stop.

Hey there pal, anonymous translator here. I translate because I want to get better at Japanese and because I want more people to play the games that I translate.
>The people who play their translation won't give a shit who translated it
Whoo boy, you weren't around in 2011 or so. Shit, the threads on /jp/ back then consisted of people complaining about translator drama. Sure, that doesn't represent everyone who plays these games, but you can see modern examples in people complaining about the Nintendo Treehouse.
>and won't really get much but S&D's.
Witch Hunt was both officially recognized by Ryukishi and endorsed. Just because some companies are assholes doesn't mean everybody is.

Heroes.

So a watered down version? meh

Only 4 more years user
Dont forget that they have to proof read it after that

>no porn
>no harem end
I don't understand, why are they translating it?

Holy fuck that's some progress, What does the Vita port add.

>NTR shit

Fuck off dude.

At least we still have Dovac to feed translation drama with his shitty business decisions.

Are the still translating the PS2 version or did they move onto another?
